I also brought in a parcel of 4 blue sapphires to be included in the ring. Staff helped me design the ring. White gold, stone placement and orientation plans were drawn up. They allowed me to partially pay in a kilo bar of .999 silver. A couple of weeks later, I went to pick the new ring up. The wife loved it. It was truly spectacular. I have been back. This time to make rings, earrings, etc. out of loose gemstones, I purchased elsewhere. Specifically, 2 solitaire diamonds, 2 sapphires, 2 garnets and a pair of amethyst earrings. Staff has always been attentive, never demeaning or overbearing. I felt like they gave me good deals without hassles. When I need jewelry made, which will be soon, I will go back. At the time I was nondescript about my plans on what I wanted to purchase. We had discussed the object in question before, but I wanted this to be a surprise today. We were welcomed nicely but a younger woman. When my girlfriend told her why we were there this woman became instantly cold and off-putting. We were told that the only way we could have her finger sized is if we purchased a sizing set for $5 cash only. Which she then tossed on the counter as if we were indigent. I guess this establishment wouldn't have taken my American Express Black card. I was silent during the whole transaction and as I didn't have cash in my pocket, my girlfriend paid for the sizing kit. We walked out and proceeded on our way. I asked to look at the kid and upon inspection, the kit wasn't even new and had what appear to be skin crud and dirt on more than a few of the plastic rings. So, not only are Fabios Jewelry staffed by rude salespeople, they run a cash only business. Cash only in a jewelry store means one thing. This place is either a front for drug money, or they peddle in stolen property. I would give this place a wide berth if you're wanting to make any jewelry purchases.. I would rather buy from Walmart and their phoney gold than this place. Luckily, I have a friend who makes custom jewelry who after hearing how Fabios treated us invited us to his shop and said he would make a bespoke ring for my girlfriend. Fabio is supposed to mean fabulous, this place just that, except don't forget to leave out horrible after Fabio.

I had another ring that needed a prong and asked how much to fix this and they advised that they would have to send it out for an estimate. (uh no thanks) They sent my wedding ring out early Nov. they received it back 3 weeks later called and said it was not up to their standards and sent it back out and that it would be a week or so. A month yes a month later no email or call so I walked in and spoke to an associate. I advised I never received an email so I was checking on my ring. She rudely said emails are sent out automatically it was in my junk mail. I never delete mail and politely said no it was not... she rudely said well you have your ring now. I looked at my ring and almost cried and stated this looks horrible. The diamond is crooked and the prong is a big ball much larger than the others. I took my ring over to HEB jeweler and he fixed it for $32 yes $32. It now looks like my original ring and beautiful. A jeweler that is not able to fix a prong on a ring is like an accountant that is not able to add. I will never purchase or have any jewelry repaired there ever again, which is sad since I am in the market for an anniversary band. So disappointed.
