At the time I was nondescript about my plans on what I wanted to purchase. We had discussed the object in question before, but I wanted this to be a surprise today. We were welcomed nicely but a younger woman. When my girlfriend told her why we were there this woman became instantly cold and off-putting. We were told that the only way we could have her finger sized is if we purchased a sizing set for $5 cash only. Which she then tossed on the counter as if we were indigent. I guess this establishment wouldn't have taken my American Express Black card. I was silent during the whole transaction and as I didn't have cash in my pocket, my girlfriend paid for the sizing kit. We walked out and proceeded on our way. I asked to look at the kid and upon inspection, the kit wasn't even new and had what appear to be skin crud and dirt on more than a few of the plastic rings. So, not only are Fabios Jewelry staffed by rude salespeople, they run a cash only business. Cash only in a jewelry store means one thing. This place is either a front for drug money, or they peddle in stolen property. I would give this place a wide berth if you're wanting to make any jewelry purchases.. I would rather buy from Walmart and their phoney gold than this place. Luckily, I have a friend who makes custom jewelry who after hearing how Fabios treated us invited us to his shop and said he would make a bespoke ring for my girlfriend. Fabio is supposed to mean fabulous, this place just that, except don't forget to leave out horrible after Fabio.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS, ESPECIALLY FOR ANY SERVICE. As a first time customer with this establishment,…read moremy experience was unfortunately terrible and I'm writing this as a courteous warning to others who may look to do business here. Upon searching for local establishments and seeing positive reviews and praise for customer service, I wanted to give them a chance. I brought in two watches that needed simple battery replacements, one for my wife and one of my own. Upon bringing the watches in, the lady who assisted me seemed friendly enough. I was informed that they no longer do battery replacements in house and they would need to be sent out. Bit of a surprise but ok, I wasn't in a terrible hurry to get them back and was told it'd be a couple of weeks. I received a call within the allotted time telling me they had come in and were ready to be picked up. I go to the store the very next day to retrieve them, being helped by the same person who took them in originally. My wife's watch was running perfectly fine. Mine however I noticed when handed to me was not running at all. I pointed this out and the lady called over another associate who she claimed was the one responsible for quality checks when items came back in from service. This second lady informed me that it had been running the day before when it was checked in but "sometimes they get sent back with a dead battery" and they would need to send it back. She then took it to their back room (with window facing the showroom so everything is visible where she attempted to open the watch but soon returned saying it was more complicated of a movement than she felt comfortable working with so they would send it back to the repair vendor. Red flags, but I want it fixed. Same drill as previous, they will let me know when it's ready within another couple of weeks. About a week and a half later I get a call that my watch has come back in, but am told it is not working and came back with a note that it needs to be sent in to the manufacturer. After naturally asking some questions so I fully understand what exactly was the issue, the girl on the phone became very easily flustered and VERY defensive. Not the customer service I was expecting. I wasn't being disrespectful in any form, just asking questions trying to understand what situation I was now in with a broken watch that was working perfectly fine when I took it in. I go in a few days later to pick up my watch and ask to speak with a manager so I can voice my concerns and displeasure. I relayed the timeline of events to the manager I spoke with, who retrieved and showed me my watch as it was returned with nothing but a sticky note that said to send it in to the manufacturer. No detail or explanation as to what was now wrong. Upon inspection, the crown no longer worked when trying to set the time and no movement of the hands. I was apologized to by the manager and was told that they would look further into it with their repair vendor to try and find out more info so I'd at least have something to go to the manufacturer with. I was also informed at this time that I would almost certainly be contacted by the owner, Mr. Borrego to discuss the issues with me. It has now been a full two weeks with no contact, so out of sight out of mind. I will never personally step foot into this establishment again and will tell everyone I know to avoid dealing with them as well. It's a shame because it is a nice store, but this type of service is unacceptable. I would warn anyone reading this to never entrust these people with any of your personal or sentimental valuables. Zero accountability and broken trust with the first encounter for a potential long term customer...I'll take my business elsewhere.

I had another ring that needed a prong and asked how much to fix this and they advised that they would have to send it out for an estimate. (uh no thanks) They sent my wedding ring out early Nov. they received it back 3 weeks later called and said it was not up to their standards and sent it back out and that it would be a week or so. A month yes a month later no email or call so I walked in and spoke to an associate. I advised I never received an email so I was checking on my ring. She rudely said emails are sent out automatically it was in my junk mail. I never delete mail and politely said no it was not... she rudely said well you have your ring now. I looked at my ring and almost cried and stated this looks horrible. The diamond is crooked and the prong is a big ball much larger than the others. I took my ring over to HEB jeweler and he fixed it for $32 yes $32. It now looks like my original ring and beautiful. A jeweler that is not able to fix a prong on a ring is like an accountant that is not able to add. I will never purchase or have any jewelry repaired there ever again, which is sad since I am in the market for an anniversary band. So disappointed.
