We bought long leaf pine flooring that had been recovered from a house built in the 1850's. It was not tongue in groove, not the same thickness and had different colors of paint depending upon the area of the house it had been removed from. One of the coolest projects I have ever done. Sanding and joining the wood together. The wood had personality, unlike the boxed wood from Home Depot. After sanding and finishing, the floor was beautiful. We sold the house several years later and the wife loved the floor. It clinched the deal. Try getting that out of a Home Depot box.

The employee was helpful and friendly and told us about the bed and breakfast that they offer as well. Parking was a bit harder as we had to park next door and be careful if you're sensitive to perfume as we were hit in the face with really strong soaps by the side entrance. Otherwise we enjoyed visiting.

It truly is that charming and wonderful, not to mention the angels who work here are so warm and inviting. Kristin was very patient with me while I selected my fabrics and style. She even helped me come up with a creative solution to make my roller shades disappear when fully open. We decided on motorized roller shades and it is the greatest decision I have ever made! We did a black fascia instead of a cassette(valance) to cover the rollers so that it would blend into our black window frames. They disappear during the day and give us privacy at night. The best part, they go up and down at the times we chose so we never think about them! If needed, Amazon's Alexa is always there to help! We had one small manufacture glitch that was taken care of IMMEDIATELY! The day I notified Kristin of the problem she had the manufacturer ship out the replacement part and her husband was at our house repairing the motor within a couple of days! We have had NO other issues with our roller shades. The only reason I am even mentioning this very small glitch is to let you know how fast they will resolve any issue that might come up. If I ever need to purchase window coverings again in Austin, I will 100% still use Budget Blinds East Austin, Giddings & Surrounding Areas! Stop searching for a company and call them now!

We had a horrible experience with this company. Understandably, everyone is busy this time of year…read morebut there is never an excuse for poor customer service and for no shows. We wasted over a month of repair time waiting for them to actually show up and do the agreed upon work. We were left high and dry with not even a phone call to explain. We had to contact them just to be let down again. Once we informed them we would be finding a new company who would actually show up to start the work, they didn't even contact us to try to apologize or work something out. This is after I stayed home all day MULTIPLE times for them to never show. BUT, they had no problems calling over and over again to collect money for sending two young guys over to just assess the situation in the very beginning. They even failed to provide the information to the construction manager who I had to call after not hearing from him after a week and a half. We had to provide all the construction measurements etc because he hadn't received it. They even charged us for latex gloves and masks for their employees. They nicked and dimed us and NEVER DID A SINGLE thing to help us! So unorganized and so unprofessional. They're not interested in doing any work to help, just to collect as much money as they can for nothing. DO NOT USE THEM!
