We bought long leaf pine flooring that had been recovered from a house built in the 1850's. It was not tongue in groove, not the same thickness and had different colors of paint depending upon the area of the house it had been removed from. One of the coolest projects I have ever done. Sanding and joining the wood together. The wood had personality, unlike the boxed wood from Home Depot. After sanding and finishing, the floor was beautiful. We sold the house several years later and the wife loved the floor. It clinched the deal. Try getting that out of a Home Depot box.

So drive back to the RV park cut the tape and opened the box. Normally I wouldn't look at directions cause I've used one before but I wanted to make sure this particular model. Right away I noticed it it said there is not a hose included. You have to get that extra. That was nowhere on the box. The manager who sold it to me, didn't mention that either. So I didn't take anything else out of the box and I went back to get a hose, but my neighbor stopped me and said hey I've got a compressor and so we used it real quickly to get my tire up to speed. I went back to the store. This is like an hour and a half later and said manager said well we charge a restocking fee normally. I said seriously I just bought this, and you didn't mention, I needed a hose to use it. Had he told me upfront I would've kept it and gone about my business. He said well since you just bought it I'll make an exception and let you return it but just notice it is an exception. So the exception here is I won't return to Harbor freight to buy anything that cost over $100. Their tools are fine. Their selection of other stuff is fine, but when they can't sell you a product what it takes to use it cause a lot of frustration. It's just bad service .

In the…read morepast couple of years management has gotten terrible here. 90% of the time I shop there they are out of something. Shelves are never stocked. Bags of food are often ripped and taped back and sold. Cashiers need better training. They dont even know how to look up the price of items. Saturday I went to buy square bales of coastal and the cashier said they were out. "When will you get more in?" We don't know. We've been out for a couple months and they never know when a shipment will come in. They just show up. If this is true that's ridiculous. And I can't imagine the corporate office would let their locations hang out to dry like that with restocking. In Lockhart, keeping merchandise stocked is the absolute biggest problem and there really are no excuses for that. I plan to buy elsewhere from now on.
