Sure wish the people were friendlier and cared more about helping the customer. Oh well that's kind of the way the world is these days! This return didn't work in my favor, turns out the customer is not as important as that extra dollar even if you are the one inconvenienced. Drove 15 miles to Canyon Lake Ace Hardware and they started the same process of sticking it in an automated machine which again said it couldn't be made. This time the Gentleman that was helping me said let me look in the back. They still have the old manual key cutter and an assortment of blanks. 15 min later I walked out with three brand new keys for a 35 year old vehicle for less than $15. Top notch customer service.

Did Brad have several of the same product, like say, an overstock? Look HD can absolutely return broken box items to the vendors and get credit, once HD doesn't get credit because of destroyed merchandising not the item but the box, they get partial credit and write off the rest. Mr Brad cannot afford to return to vendor for partial credit. Please remember local businesses do not have the 'funds' corporate have. Please be patient.
