I waited weeks for Lowe's to send someone to measure my mobile‑home door for a replacement. When the contractor finally arrived, he told me my door "did not qualify" under Lowe's installation rules -- rules that are nowhere posted on their website or disclosed at purchase. The person they sent was an independent contractor who showed up dressed like he was headed to the beach -- shorts, T‑shirt, no ID, no professionalism. I honestly thought a lost senior citizen had wandered onto my property. This is not acceptable for a company representing itself as a trusted home‑improvement provider. I've spent over $3,000 on Lowe's products this year alone, but this experience showed me a complete lack of transparency, accountability, and respect. I drove 45min and After spending a couple hours waiting on the phone with Kolbalt customer service to resolve an issue I had with a return. I'm still giving this location 5stars mainly for the customer service I received from Tony at the customer service desk and the store manager Jessica for going above and beyond. I deal with back issues and can't stand too long and Tony seeing I was beginning to seem frustrated offered me a seat in the front. He also offered me a water bottle on multiple occasions. He wasn't able to do anything on his end with my kobolt issue but after relaying what the situation was to Jessica the manager on duty she walked the store searching for what I needed. After spending several hours there they made a frustrating situation seem very minor and helped me get on my way. I would make the trip to this store primarily for the warm and helpful customer service experience I received from Tony and Jessica! Thank you again for your patience and help read more

This shout out is for Gordon. My husband and I bought a Madea refrigerator yesterday and he was so knowledgeable and walked around and explained different things to us. The checkout was so easy he went over all of the warranty stuff and highlighted all the areas in the pamphlet of who we should call just in case anything happens to our refrigerator. If I could give a -1rating I would. This Ellsworth location and this company overall is absolutely the WORST to deal with!!! From the store mgrs... Ashton, Max and Jay... all do NOT know what the hell they are doing. I ordered over $930 dollars of merchandise through their cabinet dept for 2 bathroom vanities.... and you would think this would be a simple process to get an accurate receipt with my name on it rather than someone else's that I don't know or have ever known... and they keep telling me they are not able to get this person's name off my account so that they could generate the accurate receipt I need to get reimbursed for these items from my clients. And the other concern I have is them being okay with someone I do NOT even know being on my account!!! When I asked to speak to a District Mgr. they told me to call Customer Care dept. That was a complete JOKE!! Those people at the end of that number are unprofessional, untrained, rude, snarky and do NOT give a crap about helping anyone or figuring out what to do!!!!! I even got an email from a "Joella" with Lowe's, and it said to call her back which I tried to do... and they have no clue who she is!! LOL You'd think that there would be someone that had a brain in this company that could figure this out to get back in touch with me as many times as I have called and asked for. I even called their N. Scottsdale location and was asking for help there thinking it might just be a specific store problem... LOL... NOT... they all are the same! I have been into this Lowe's probably 500 times over the last few years...hahaha. I prefer it to other similar stores in the area because the selection is typically better. Sometimes things are out of stock, but I sometimes will luck out and find someone to check the back. Pricing is similar but they sometimes have good deals. Parking lot is large and the spots are a nice size so you have room for loading your items. I don't always have the best time finding someone for assistance. It can be annoying at times, especially if you require a forklift to be able to leave with your large item. There are a few employees I seem to always cross paths with on my weekend visits and they are super pleasant. Pro tip: in the garden section, by the pool supplies, lives an owl family. The female owl has been there for years now but she had babies this past year or two. So cool! read more

Lowe's was busy when I went. It was easy to find parking though. I went to Lowe's to get some quick cement and pvc pipes for my garden. When I went to the garden center, I was perusing what other products they had for sale. I could see the packets of seeds easily and they placed the praying mantis display in the middle aisle to catch people's attention. There were a lot of center displays. The praying mantis product was expensive for being $10. I am excited for them to hatch and that I can put them in my garden. I don't know how long it will take. So far I am keeping them inside. I reported a severe scratch to the bumper when 2 associates loaded it into the back of my SUV. it was investigated by Lowes insurance and decided that the damage was not done by the store. Reason, the associates said so. Pictures sent clearly showed the angle of the crate and obvious damage came from the metal edges. When I called and spoke with the manager (10 days later), I was told it would be another 14 days until delivery and install. We went in shopping for new countertops. After standing there waiting for help the sales person sat at her desk playing on her phone for 30 mins. So we left and went to Home Depot and got a quote. We returned to Lowe's that afternoon and thought maybe there would be someone interested in a sale and stood around for another 15-20 mins without seeing anyone. So we went to Customer Services and told them exactly what had happened. So we go back to countertops and a Breanne comes and goes through what we were looking for. I would also like to say when we walked into Home Depot we were greeted my a man that had a cart to re stock a shelf somewhere and asked if we needed help. Do not use Lowe's carpet install, poor customer service, they use eclipse insulation and they wore dirty shoes during installation on white carpet. No help with so called customer support. They also over stressed the carpet causing small holes in carpet. I would never use them again. Please go elsewhere, save yourself the headache. read more

We ordered a new front door over a month ago for our new home and twice we kept getting the story " Were Sorry" the door came in damaged but you're more than welcome to it from the sales people. That's totally unacceptable so after a month of getting the same excuse we finally went back to this location where the door was purchased ready to get out money back and head to Home Depot to let them sell us a door and do the installation. But the manager and the door and window department did the honest thing and saved the day. We got a different door and it was installed the same day so they were able to take my bad opinion of this store and turn it into a positive one. read more

I reviewed my refrigerator experience once before. But I have new horrible developments to share. First they sent me the wrong fridge. They sent the right one but the doors were uneven. I went back ten months later and they said it wasn't under warranty. Fair enough, but this is an installation problem. I bought a new stove, microwave, and dishwasher from Spenser's. The delivery guys were nice enough to fix my fridge doors. But in the process they discovered it wasn't level. Not only that, but one of the leveling screws was hanging loosely and wasn't even the right screw. Then they discovered that they had connected the water to the fridge to a copper line and did not leave enough play in it so that caused the line to the fridge to leak. As I recall, the Lowe's guy said he would just use the old one. He did not do that properly, either. Bad, bad experience. Never buy an appliance from Lowe's. Spensers is great read more

We came for lumber. I needed 12 1x6x8 common boards. Every single piece of this size was of very poor quality. I was not able to get any of the lumber I needed. When I went to pay for some Hardware, the cashier rang it up and the machine didn't finish approving it so she canceled the sale and completed it again by hand. I ended up getting a notification that I was charged twice and she said "go to customer service. That's where the managers are and I would just have to call one anyway to come over here." Do not buy a lawn boy lawnmower from these guys they have nothing to do with the warranty at all my lawn Moore did not make it one year. I brought it to their repair center Tempe power equipment just like every typical repair center they would not fix it under the two-year guarantee to start warranty they wanted $50 to fix the carburetor and 130 to return it. It was not even one year old when I paid $400 for it lol so they have nothing to do with a warranty they just sell them Tempe power equipment it took them three weeks to look at it to tell me that they wanted that much money to fix it. I am going to throw it away. It is not worth putting $200 and I will just buy another lawnmower and it will definitely not be a lawn boy with a Briggs & Stratton motor. They are turds. Both places are just out to go with you I would not recommend either one. I don't think Tempe power equipment fixes any of the lawnmowers or any tools that are under warranty without charging you money on it. Lowes sucks. I had better customer service from Home Depot and that's not saying much. I'm totally unhappy. I am just going to throw it in the trash. DON'T BUY SHADES OR BLINDS FROM LOWES! We furnished our entire house with new window Shades purchased at Lowe's! The warranty is good for two years! Since the purchase, two sets of shades are too heavy and keep breaking. They've replaced them 3 times! I go back yet again to file a claim for the 4th time and noone seems to care. I suggested they should replace them with a set that are meant for the window size. Nope! Nothing. I saw the manager(Pat) he took my info and never got back to me. Horrible experience here the ladies at return would not let me return a router table I bought here. They were rude and extremely unprofessional. Avoid this location if at all possible they do not stand behind there products. Update: We were able to return the item to a different lows. Unfortunately they did not have a replacement. We spent nearly 4 hours looking at different lows for a replacement. Long story short. This will be my last trip to lows ever. This experience has left me with a very VERY sour taste in my mouth for this location but now also for the entire chain. Gotta love a good home improvement store, and Lowe's are the best in terms of prices, return policies and layout. This location has the bathrooms located up front by the exit doors, which is handy and they are clean. The garden center is well kept, as none of the flowers are dying on the racks. The aisles were relatively free of clutter, but they are already putting out their Christmas items which is standard now I guess, but still disappointing to see it happening this early on in the year. The parking lot is better than I expected, and there weren't carts roaming freely on the range, as they were all corralled up correctly. read more

Went to return it and wasn't allowed since I was penalized for using cash and didn't have receipt. I paid with cash. The other item wasn't even open. So I left with no money back and left the product there. No one I know could use it and it would just sit in my garage, which would be stupid. So they restocked it on the shelf and kept my money. Never going back.... Even the worker says it's back on the shelf she said when I called in and told the person that answered the phone I paid cash and she said no receipt no money back..... went to the Lowe's on Ellsworth in Mesa looking for a ceiling light for the bathroom and lights for around the bathroom mirrors. I wasn't in the light department more than five minutes when Maceo asked me if I needed any help. Not only did he ask questions I never thought to ask when putting those lights up, he also provided me with a visual by taking the light fixture out of the box that we chose and hooking it up to a lightbulb so I can see exactly how the lighting would work and look like. Otherwise drive on by, don't look back and find a real hardware store with employees who know which end of the extension cord goes in the outlet. If ..... and that is a big if..... you are lucky enough to find an employee it's a crapshoot if they have any knowledge at all how about the department they're working in. I will say they have a good inventory and parking is a plenty with easy access in and out of a lot. So for location kudos. Not once but twice, Was I upset yes when I asked why no one called to notify about the dryer not in available as well as delivery being canceled I was told there system would not let them know until it was too late. Purchased a Portacool Cyclone with a 3 year protection plan in May 2023. Water pump has went out so now I need to find a way of getting the water pump out myself, take a picture of it and request a new part that I will have to install myself. I am a senior female and not a technician so this is a huge problem. Never waste the money on an Lowes protection plan and never ever buy a Portacool product.
