However, at other ACE locations, team members usually greet you at the door, ask if you need assistance, help you find items quickly, and get you checked out efficiently. My friend was very compliant and obeyed her hand signals, but was greatly confused as he didn't understand any English. I asked why and she said it was to prevent theft, but there wasn't any signs stating that there was this policy in place. They have security cameras all over the store and don't have any reason to suspect us as we just walked into the store. What if our bags and items inside got stolen? Who would be held responsible? To prevent theft they should hire more security instead of lowering the shopping experience of loyal customers. How would you feel if you stepped inside a store to shop but was suddenly accused of theft out of nowhere? I can't imagine how bad my friend felt. She even started threatening us and said she would call the manager. Luckily for her, we were in a rush so we went to a different Ace Hardware right afterwards and the people there didn't stop us at all and we finished our shopping there without any mishaps. We also asked them if they had a leave the bag at the door policy, but they looked confused as well. I was greatly disappointed by how they treated their customers and felt strongly discriminated against. I will not be returning to this location and do not recommend this place to others!

Upon walking in, as someone who is very clean, it smelled light in fragrance but refreshing and clean. I went straight to plumbing, found what I needed and was looking around. I stumbled upon an older gentleman employee who greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. I did and thanked him for his time. I showed him what I needed and he went out of his way to help me get the products I was looking for. I had a few things I needed and he guided me quickly and efficiently. I was trying to use a spend $75 get $15 off coupon so I kept going back for more items to hit the mark so shout out to the lovey clerk at check out. She was super nice and patient. My pup was having surgery nearby so it's not typically a store I'd go to but I wish it were. Really compassionate and knowledgeable team of staff members. Thank you for all your help!

They were also super helpful with the questions I had after I left the store and called to ask about several of the faucets. Only thing I wished they would have done was opened at least one of the boxes in front of me before I left to show me the faucet was the correct one. I ended up doing this in my car but would have been much easier in store and that should be a standard practice at their business. Other than that, everything was easy and smooth ordering process and the faucets are fantastic.

More times than not, I will travel valleywide and lose hope with the thought of "I'll swing by Ace and see if they have it" and every time, this far they have it. The staff are always incredibly helpful and generally assist even when I throw a "it's okay, I appreciate it" out there. For instance, on this trip, the gentleman directed me, I mentioned I took a peek and didn't see if and it was okay that I would cut my loss. He headed over and verified and found what I must have passed several times over. As far as the product? It was would have been offered elsewhere had they had it and at about the same price. In the past, I have been very fortunate to be looking for items that are on superduper clearance. Perhaps one of these days, I'll make this my first stop and spare days wasted with travel and unnecessary purchases that I am unlikely to ever return just based on the distance alone. Fortunately, Paul's is just a few mins walking distance up the street for me. Now, it's time to lock my number in, since I'll be bisiting more often.
