I had a disappointing experience at Lowe's and I was on a mission. This was the nearest local hardware store and I was impressed immediately by how nicely kept up it is from the outside. Upon walking in, as someone who is very clean, it smelled light in fragrance but refreshing and clean. I went straight to plumbing, found what I needed and was looking around. I stumbled upon an older gentleman employee who greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. I did and thanked him for his time. I showed him what I needed and he went out of his way to help me get the products I was looking for. I had a few things I needed and he guided me quickly and efficiently. I was trying to use a spend $75 get $15 off coupon so I kept going back for more items to hit the mark so shout out to the lovey clerk at check out. She was super nice and patient. My pup was having surgery nearby so it's not typically a store I'd go to but I wish it were. Really compassionate and knowledgeable team of staff members. Thank you for all your help! read more

I was just calling to see if they had the cerakote headlight restoration kit in stock. 6pm on a Tuesday. I called and the answered but no one said a word, I said hello multiple times and no response. So I hung up and tried again and a guy answered and I politely asked him if they had it in stock and he checked and told me no promptly and hung up. Like jeez thanks, great customer service. We needed a propane tank (20 lb) exchange and went here for the purchase. what a terrible mistake, they charged $28.99 plus tax for a total of $31.40. We later discovered that had we gone to Fry's Market, just a mile east we would have only paid $21.99 plus tax. An expensive lesson well learned. read more

This store (and Ace in general) seem to have pretty much everything you need for general home improvement, at the same or cheaper price. Variety may not be as large but in my experience the same quality with fewer selections is available. The best part is the customer service is far better than the larger stores. The last few times I've been there I am able to get help immediately as I walk into the store. The free popcorn for kids is nice as well when you gotta bring them to the store. read more

I don't know what is going on in this store but it has gone down hill. The last 3 times I have been in there has been a nightmare. Cashiers talking to each other, had to ask to be waited on. Cashier not being able to post my rewards. Today being told I "HAD" to use my card because she had no cash in her drawer. I did NOT want to use my card!! Plus she had to have help posting my rewards. I had a broken key that was deemed un-fixable by both Lowes and HomeDepot. I came in to this ACE Hardware location and immediately knew it should have been my first stop. The gentleman that helped me fix the broken key took every possible measure to remake this key for me. Including taping it together to make a key from the fragments I brought in. The customer service was impeccable and I appreciated the smile that he had on his face while assisting me with this repair. I left with three keys to try and I will be a repeat customer from now on. Coming from Flagstaff, I have depended on Ace Hardware for the hard to find stuff that Home Depot doesn't carry. This Ace has filled the bill nicely since I now live in Queen Creek. I even switched to buying my paints here from Sherwin Williams stores cause the paint is a little cheaper but of great quality. (And if you want colors from SW, PPP...etc, they have all their colors on file and can mix you up a gallon or sample if you come in with the color swatch.) Ok, the down side is that getting the paint can take more than 30 minutes. So give yourself time. But, the staff are chatty, friendly and helpful so the time can go by pretty quickly. read more

I went in at almost closing to grab one item and I was trying to hurry because it was almost closing. But that didn't matter, everyone working there acted like it was the middle of the day. With my son in his baby carrier in tow I was greeted by Reggie immediately. He found my item in less then 3 seconds, took it to the register, and walked it out to the car with me. I was at Ace Hardware today to pick up the key fob I had purchased and have it cut and programmed. While having the new key fob programmed, we were running into several issues getting it set up. Eric was going through all of the steps, but we could not get it to program. He reached out to the appropriate people to get assistance with the new key fob and the issues with the old one. After quite a bit of time he was finally able to determine. It was my car battery that was causing the issues. At this point, we could not get my car started. He went with me next-door to AutoZone to purchase a new battery. He installed the new battery for me, and then we were able to complete programming the key fob. When I got home, I thought the new one was not working and went back to the store. Eric came back to my car so we could figure out what was going on and after a bit, he was again able to determine it was the new battery didn't have a good enough charge on it. He recommended to go home put the new battery on the charger overnight and once we got the battery fully charged to double check the key fobs again. Told me that if they're still not working tomorrow once the battery is fully charged to bring them back and he will go through everything again. he is a great example of customer service and was patient the whole time. The issues had nothing to do with him or Ace Hardware. It was all my car battery. I would definitely recommend Ace hardware. Not only did they give great customer service with the key fob, but their prices were better than everywhere that I called around too. I was there for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours total and again he was very patient the whole time. One of the other employees there let us use her jumper cables since I didn't have any in the car yet, and he had left his at home, she later brought us both out cold waters read more

This is an unusual write up as you will see after I finish. The store has a gentleman (JR) that does cooking on the traeger grill and makes some very good appetizers and food for a regular meal. Each time he cooks there are different items that taste so good. I know that the store backs him and he utilizes a lot of their products. The men will like the ease of cooking things on their traeger. It gives you some good ideas and JR will talk with you on anything that you would want to know. He does it for the pure joy of cooking. On the first or third Saturday, JR starts cooking around 9:00 and start serving things up around 10:00. I don't work for Ace, I just buy items to use with the traeger. Wow!! Can't say enough about Kalai (the young man who assisted us). My husband and i were looking to buy a Traegar smoker/grill. Kalai was personable, helpful, courteous and knowledgable. He answered all of our questions and even recommended some rubs and pellets for the smoker. Kalai got us signed up on the Ace Rewards program and he and another associate even loaded the smoker in to our vehicle. THAT is the kind of customer service I like to see and appreciate. I this store five stars because the definitely deserve it. Well stocked with everything you need and everything you don't. I can spend hours just browsing. It is an all around awesome store BUT I do have one small problem. I recently ordered a new key fob to be programmed to my vehicle ( I said they have everything you need or don't) they said a week. I had to call them to see if it was in after I waited a week and when I received my key it looks to be a used key not new. I am comparing it to another one I just bought elsewhere and my own key which is eight years old. The new one from "elsewhere" looks brand new the new one from Ace looks used. I'm not complaining but come on people you don't need to start this kind of practice. PLEASE remember people this is an awesome store with great folks. I just hit a bump. read more

From the store greeter's (two standing at entrance stating "Welcome to ACE" to the self identified store manager (female behind service counter) you can count on this location to be disrespectful of county mask ordinance and your health. Fair amount of traffic and only 1 store employee observed as being properly masked, as well as the customers. What a shame! read more
