Delta faucet (bought off Amazon) w/ sharkbite fittings (bought at HD) kept leaking out female thread. Alex helped me resolve this issue
Ben A.

Alex was beyond helpful. I came in here at a loss & defeated. I tried to install a DELTA R10000-UNBX MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve Body (that I ordered off Amazon) & I wasn't needing to use the bottom outlet so I tried to cap it with a brass 1/2" cap w/ plumbers tape & then pipe dope & couldn't get the cap to stop leaking once I pressurized with water. So I then tried to cap it with a 1/2 pvc cap & it didn't fix the leak. I thought it may be a faulty faucet rough in so I order another faucet (DELTA R10000-UNBXHF MultiChoice Universal Shower Valve Body) This one didn't even have the tub outlet so I thought it would bypass my problem. Well it didn't, I used 3 shark bite brass connections that were 1/2 female (threaded) to 1/2 pex & after install my shower out & cold water in lines were leaking ‍ I searched online forums to get an answer & a couple guys online say my photos I uploaded & said I could tighten another 2-3 threads (which couldn't be done by hand) So I bought a bench vise from Harbor Freight & put it in my vise & cranked it down the rest of the thread. I thought for sure that had solved the problem but after 3 hours of the water on my cold water line (at the threaded shark bite to faucet connection started leaking again) I had spent a day & 1/2 + 2 faucets & 5 different 90° elbow shark bite fittings & couldn't get this installed without a leak. I walked in to Standard & Alex immediately asked what he could help with & I explained my situation & showed him pics of the leak & showed him my faucet & shark bite set up (I disconnected it & brought it in.) He & another plumber that was shopping said that the last 6 months that the threaded shark bites have been terrible. He demonstrated to me how the shark bite connections that I had would only thread on to my faucet maybe 2 turns & he walked the store & grabbed multiple other types of 1/2 female fittings & showed me how they would all thread on to my faucet a lot further. We played tetris with plumbing connections to my faucet for about 10 minutes & Alex came up with a much more solid solution to my leaking faucet connections He set me up with all the right parts I needed (I opted to buy a 3rd new Delta faucet from them) w/ advice & helped me get in contact with someone that could help me permanently solder a small cut of copper pipe inside each of my male faucet threadings & then sold me 1/2" to 1/2" 90°elbow pex fittings (so I could bypass having to use shark bites terrible thread patterns that kept leaking.) Thanks so much Alex, your the man & thanks for helping me get in contact with Zach that helped me with the pipe soldering (Thanks Zach if you ever see this.) I'll forever be coming here for my future plumbing needs based off the great customer service & knowledge that Alex provided me

This is the mess I'm trying to clean up.

So I am doing a little remodeling on the back house. This includes updating the plumbing. The existing plumbing is ran on the exterior of the house. I plan to remove the siding and put the water and sewer lines in the wall where they belong. I am not a plumber by any means. I am capable of sweating copper though. I went to Standard because of past experience. I needed someone with a bit of knowledge. Ron was more than willing to assist me. He was very helpful in making sure I got everything I needed. He even cut the pipe in half so I could carry it in my truck. It's tough getting service like this in the big box stores. The customer service was awesome and the prices more then fair. Big or small any plumbing job Standard has what you need.

Duane "Mr. Wisconsin" is the greatest! Is that The Cooling & Plumbing Co in tha house.....

They have about 8 reformers in the pilates class and it's a clean smaller space. It's nice to explore the shop afterwards as they have several plants, grip socks, and other random boutique items to choose from

I don't like giving places bad reviews, but I also know that as a paying customer, I deserve to be treated right. This kind of feels like when you first start dating someone, everything seems great, but then as the months go by, you realize, oh dear, I've made a grave mistake and need to get out of the situation. Thats exactly my feeling about this studio. Read on to see why you should go elsewhere. They opened about 6 months ago and I saw their ad on IG so stopped by for a free class. The class was ok and I then talked to the owner. What's interesting is that she said I could not sign up for their new student special of 3 classes for $40 because I just had a free class (even though it was their grand opening - I should have known then to not sign up for anything), and then proceeded to tell me about memberships. I rarely get memberships as I like to cross train and check out various venues. So, I signed up for 10 classes for $250. Its a good rate for reformer pilates, so I thought maybe it will work out. But sometimes gut instincts are spot on and I should have listened to my intuition. Owner then joined a few classes at the beginning when they first opened and randomly she would be in the classes I took, but she was pretty unfriendly and didnt bother to say hi to me even though we were in several classes together. That definitely didnt leave a good impression on me. She was kind of stuck up and said she works in corporate sales or something and that this is just a side hustle. That definitely left an even more sour taste in my mouth. One time I signed up for an early afternoon class but by the time I got there, the class was canceled and it become an open reformer class, so you do the exercises yourself. I didnt want to waste the class and already drove over, so did teach myself the sets but that wasnt ideal. The interior of this studio is weird and just not very aesthetically appealing to me. I am sensitive to light and the florescent lighting just does not work for me. I feel like I am doing reformer pilates in a hospital. I also found the machines to be a bit gross after 6 months as the straps are quite worn now and sometimes the floors are kind of dirty (lots of hair) and makes me want to leave this place quickly. The sound system in the studio is awful and very scatchy sounding. Cheap equipment. The cubby area is also a very tight space and so when class is over, its like a traffic jam to get out. Bathroom has only one stall, so can be a wait. To be honest, I just kind of dreaded this entire 6 month experience, but I am not a wasteful person so I made sure I used up my 10 passes. The other thing is that there is a 6 month expiration on packs you buy, so beware of that, very short window to use your passes. Their class sign up system is also clunky and I didnt enjoy that either. I prefer MindBody. The reason this place gets two stars and not one is that most of the instructors have been good and they do really try to teach a good class. The problem is everything else including the owner. I just refuse to support a business where so many things aren't working for me. Overall, its probably one of the worst studios I've experienced and I've been exercising for a good 25 years and practiced a lot of different yoga & pilates all over the world. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere where youre treated right and actually feel excited about the classes you're taking. Im definitely breaking up with this place.

We found The Green Goddess website and they're nearby. I was dreading the whole thing, thinking we wouldn't find anything that would work. And then there's the whole take-it-out and make-the-new-one-fit-the-hole issues, what about the plumbing and pump and so on. Hubby is much more level-headed, so we went. Wow, the business is so much bigger than you can see from the street! Excellent selection. We wandered around, trying to find what we liked. Such an amazing variety of working fountains on site! We saw one that was perfect, a design that would eliminate the splashing and cleaning drama, and a better size for our space. But wrong color. Along came Sara Cervantes to assist. Good grief, she knows everything to know about this stuff! She walked us all around the grounds showing us pots that would work, and they could make it into a fountain. We made the selection, she had guys come with fork lift to load it up, we made quick decisions about installation date, and BOOM we were done. Got great advice on maintenance. The installers came on the chosen day, dismantled and removed the old monster, and did a beautiful installation job. All of the employees are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and nice. Couldn't be happier! Just go, already!
