Geeez! If I could post zero stars! Of all the Lowe's, this store might be the worst of all of them. Waiting to speak to a manager for over an hour is just, no words. Still waiting after leaving my contact information - that was four hours ago. The reason, "the manager needs to be by a computer". Zero customer service, zero help, zero explanation and a bill that was $400 over the listed price with NO explanation from the person that was too bothered to get out of their chair and actually help: never again. Asked to speak with a manager multiple times. Asked for a district or regional/area manager multiple times and was denied that information. read more

I went to Lowe's to return one of several Christmas lights I had purchased. The item was unopened, but I was told it couldn't be returned because it was after Christmas. There was no sign posted and I was never informed of this policy at purchase. Very disappointing experience. Going forward, I'll be taking my business across the street to Home Depot. read more

Lowe's definitely has a better selection of lighting/defamation than their competitor in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful most of the time. My only complaint is the self checkout. There are several items that truly require help or assistance and the self checkout route is not the easiest. In fact it is often inconvenient. Often having assistance anyway, making it frustrating. We like that they carry Sherwin Williams and some other perks, just would like to see a hardware store go back to assisted checkout. read more

The first part of the visit went well. The Allen store had what I wanted to buy in stock. There was an employee standing right by it to be sure I found it. Then, it went south. A guy in a Lowe's vendor vest then engaged me and tried to sell me a solar system. I told him I wasn't interested, but he continued with the hard sell. Finally, I said NO and walked off. Shame on Lowe's for allowing this type of almost harassment in the Allen store on a Saturday. I don't go to stores to be harangued by salespeople who won't take no for an answer. Went to buy a new range. The associates just ignored us as they talked to each other in the middle of the appliances. After about ten minutes we went to the bathroom room, when we returned they were now helping two couples and then the lady started helping a gentleman who was there after us. So I decided I needed to go stand by the register to get help. The lady later comes up to me and says excuse me I need to help this gentleman. I say I need help too. The Gentleman yells at me that she can help me first. So I look like the impatient customer. My wife had to go to Bathroom to have a cry because her dad is really sick so I was in no mode for this crap. Went across street and bought a new range at Home Depot; took about ten minutes. Lowe's use to be do good but in Sherman I always go to Home Depot also due to customer service! read more

Searched for AC unit, which needed today, so looked under only available in store. This Lowe's later phoned me to say, "While we have it, we do not have the equipment to get it down today, it's heavy, and there is a lot of items around it. So you can pick up later this week instead or we cancel, but we can't transfer to another store since we already clicked accepting the item." I cancelled the order and going somewhere else. The woman was not apologetic and seemed annoyed that I even asked if I can pick it up from another location. read more

My son and I ventured out last Sunday (a week ago) to find some gardening supplies. We weren't exactly sure what was in season or what would work for our apartment balcony. The garden area was pretty empty or everything was covered due to early season and frost. I found an employee and asked if they carried the grow in container bags. He walked me through the gardening section, attempted to locate on his device, and even asked another employee. In addition to doing everything he could for us, the best part was he was smiling and friendly the entire time. He appeared to be a younger male and I wish I had seen his name. I went back to look for him but he was gone. I have always appreciated shopping at Lowe's and this just showed me again, why I do. Lowe's has horrible customer service. I bought a KitchenAid microwave from them 10 months ago. I registered the warranty. The more crowbar keypad has stop working. I called KitchenAid. They said it was under warranty and that they were sending an email to the Lowe's in Allen, TX, where I bought it so I could get a replacement. They told me Lowe's would call me within a couple weeks. Lowe's never called. After 6 weeks I called KitchenAid. They said they emailed a specific person at Lowe's (I am not listing the Lowe's employees name here out of courtesy). KitchenAid emailed that person on October 18th. Lowe's manager just told me that they never got the email from KitchenAid. I know this isn't true because KitchenAid gave me the employee name and email date. Basically, Lowe's just dumped it back on me to resolve. I have never had a good experience at Lowe's. They are overpriced and there aren't ever any employees in the different departments to help you. I should have never bought the microwave at Lowe's. Lesson learned. I won't be shopping Lowe's ever again and I will make sure my associates are made aware of my experience so they don't get burned by Lowe's either. read more

I left very disappointed with my last visit at this Lowe's store. It was my go to place for many small home fix projects gardening items and significant appliance purchases as well. I have a lows card for maybe 20 years and i use the myLowe's card too. I found the service better than the alternative Home Depot across the street or the Lowe's on 121 and Exchange. On Sept 1st i stopped to purchase some plumbing items needed to fix a water leak. I needed some help. After some cruising on the adjacent isles i found some Lowe's employee who was not familiar with the subject and asked for another person to help , as i head in the speaker system. He also gave me the wrong location where to look for a shutoff valve. After 5 min I asked again. Nobody showed up. I went to the contractor door and asked again. The announcement sounded again through the speaker system with no results. I went to the customer service desk and asked for help. I was told they were short on staff, the guy with the plumbing knowledge was maybe out on linch break. Really ? At 5:30 in the afternoon? She pit out another announcement After telling me the store manager is also out for lunch. Them she said they are short on people because it us the Labor day weekend . Isn't in the holidays when stores try to increase sales? I was thinking i am in a vacation resort, not at my favorite Lowe's store. I went back and picked multiple options and planning to return the stiff i do not need or does not fit. At the checkout, i mentioned i am unhappy about the lack of interest from the store staff to help me, finally another lady , who seemed in charge gave me the short speech on feeling sorry that i was disappointed and again mentioned some staff are in lunch break. Padt 5;30 in the afternoon! I left with the store thinking was my lady visit here. I checked yelp and it also reinforced my Impression, displaying 2 stars only. What happened to this brand ? My recommendation save your time is to skip this Lowe's store location and check out the Home Depot almost across the street. Terrible customer service!! First, I placed an online order (3 items) for free delivery. One item was shipped and the other two items ended up at a store for locker pick up nowhere near my home! I drove all the way out there to pick up my items and the employees were not only unhelpful, but they argued with me, telling me that it was my fault because that's how I placed my order. I don't even know what "locker pickup" is!! Why would I have some of my order shipped and some of my order at a Lowe's not even remotely near my home?!!! It makes absolutely NO SENSE!! Part of my order was canceled because I didn't pick it up within 5 days. And instead of helping me buy the items that were canceled, they just shrugged and said that was how I ordered it. DO NOT BUY EXPENSIVE ITEMS FROM LOWE'S... When I bought an open box lawn mower, I was told I could return it within 30 days. When I tried to return it 10 days after purchase, I was told by a "supervisor" that they only issue returns if the box is unopened and factory-sealed, but THE BOX WAS ALREADY OPENED WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND IT WAS ALREADY USED WITH GRASS ALL OVER IT; I didn't even use it. The "supervisor" said that the only way she would give a refund is if the item is returned the same day, despite the 30-day return policy, and even then, she MIGHT refuse. The store didn't refund my money because the lawn mower was used, but I DIDN'T USE IT, THEY SOLD IT TO ME USED. So they accepted the first buyer's used lawn mower return, but told me I was SOL. read more

I suppose it's time to review Lowe's for as many times that I have been here since they've been open. I love to shop here any time I just need crap for our rental house to make it more livable. I convince my landlord it's an upgrade to the place and they let me take the charge off the rent! Lowe's just about has everything. If you hang out long enough you might just find a contractor for hire. On another note there are always contractors around in the lumber and electrical department. Oh and plumbing too! Average 2 stars. Why am I not surprised. I had a delivery scheduled for today. Lowes called and said their truck had broken down and they were not going to make our delivery today. Understandable, things happen. I was given a new delivery date of next Tuesday. Why not tomorrow...or Monday? I was told those days were already scheduled. Shouldn't they bump those back a day to catch up on the deliveries missed today? I was told they can't do that. Why? You are dis-accomodating me, why not them? I was told they can't do that. As a manager, I would look to find a solution for me as a customer. She had no intention of doing that. Her suggestion, cancel the order or pick it up myself. Holiday weekend. Understaffed. Lacking any expertise within plumbing area. Said the guy is off today. (Every time I ask. When is he / she on?) Funny because they have said that to me on multiple occasions. The plumbing section is a dis-organized disaster. One person in check out and one person running the self checkout. (Both going off shift and no replacement for rest of day) I wasted 2 hrs in this store and walked out with about $20 of merchandise which appears to be incorrect but close. I put back over $200 of tools and supplies Because frustration makes me not want to vote with my wallet. This store has persistent management issues. If shipping LOWES, Go to store on 75 @ Spring Creek. Not great but better and more consistent. read more

I'm very disappointed w/ Lowe's. I purchased a fridge and washer/dryer for my new home. Fridge was delivered 2 weeks from schedule appt. The washer/dryer was delivered on time, but the accessories weren't with the delivery, I had to wait another week. Sat 10/2, I went to the flooring area to ask about tiles...after 10 mins I left because there was nobody there to assist. Several customers were looking for help too. Later I called flooring and after 20 min, I just hung up. How can you have nobody manning the floor on your busiest day? This Lowe's is poorly management!!! read more

With Covid they seem understaffed but the parking lot is so empty that Im sure they are doing the best they can. We waited for 10 minutes for flooring guy to help us and when he arrived he said he was helping someone in paint. Appears they are doing double duty. When he helped us he was 100% into giving us quality service. Same thing happened in tools. Had to wait for the assistance but when the help arrived it was great and knowledgeable. They are doing extremely well under these conditions. read more

Kitchen Remodel? Go somewhere else. The only exception is Jim-the designer. He is amazing and did great. However, there were mistakes made at every point of our kitchen remodel which is causing a huge delay in finishing. An UNGODLY AMOUNT OF MISTAKES. Wrong cabinets delivered. Cabinets reordered that still haven't come. They've come to pickup returns 3x after they'd already picked them up. Delivered returned cabinets rather than new cabinets. Failed to deliver the correct cabinets 3 days in a row-we live 1 mile from the store. Jim had to reorder appliances/hood multiple times because the "systems didn't talk." I realize mistakes are made but this has been unreal. Yes, it's hard to find good workers right now. Everything else a out the store may be fine. Remodeling? Steer clear. read more

I love Lowe's, but I hate the people that work here. It is disorganized and sloooow. Always slow every time I come here for checkout at the garden center. Most recently, I stood in line to check out at the garden center today. Standing in line behind one person who was checking out. The female cashier was super slow. We're talking smack your head into the wall slow. Then some other worker (female-supervisor I assume) comes up to me and says they're closing the line. Like seriously? I'm next to check out. I've been in this line waiting for now 15-20 minutes only to have her tell me they're closing the line so the cashier can take lunch. There was no sign up saying register closed when I lined up, nothing. The cashier didn't say a word to me or anyone this whole time. A quick, hi I'm taking lunch can you go to another open line, nothing. Goodness knows I was in line long enough for her or anyone there working to say something. Nope. I'm pretty ticked off. Supervisor wants me to take my cart full of stones to another line. It's heavy. I don't really want to move all the way around to the other side to another register. It was a lot of effort to get it there. Then she says wait there and she might be able to get another person to take the place of the person going to lunch. She walks off. The cashier wanting to go to lunch then tells me to go to another line. She's going to lunch. I said the other lady just told me to wait here. Someone else is coming. Cashier just keeps telling me to go to another line. I'm thinking fine, this is now getting very annoying. I drag my heavy ass cart to another line. However, the cashier then stands there waiting for the supervisor to come back. SHE DID NOT GO TO LUNCH. SHE'S STANDING BESIDE ME IN THE OTHER LINE. What do you think happens? Yes. Supervisor comes back 8 mins later with someone else to checkout, then the lady leaves to go to lunch. Wow. SHE COULD HAVE CHECKED ME OUT WHILE SHE WAS STANDING THERE. The new cashier starts checking people out, and guess what happens then? They want me to move from the line I'm now in to go back to the line I was originally in to check out. Now I'm even more annoyed. I push my heavy ass stone cart back to where I started out. SO DISORGANIZED! In addition, while I'm at this Lowe's, I hear another lady complaining about how long it's taking them to bring her bricks to her car. She was waiting for over an hour. One elderly lady unfamiliar with self checkout and apparently thing there would be some semblance of customer standing there looking lost and being ignored. I work for a Commercial Construction Company and we do have an account with Lowes. Stopped in today to order baseboard, crown, chair rail, and casing. I told the ladies at the Pro Desk what I was needing and needed it delivered. They at first told me what aisle to find it on. Then called someone from that department to help me pull it. I am used to just giving the Pro Desks what I need and have it delivered. None of them seemed excited to help me and the gentleman from that department just shook his head when he found out he was going to have to help me. You need to change their title to just associates, because they are Sales Associate. Took my business elsewhere today! read more

Massively understaffed and under stocked this holiday season, I waited in line for 45 minutes while "1" worker outside put a xmas tree on another customers car roof. 1 worker !!!! I paid for 30 windows and installation on April 23. Knowing that there were delays in the supply chain, they said the estimated completion date was May 29 but it could be a few weeks longer. Late June, no word from them. I called the store and they told me they didn't know what was going on and I need to contact the Project Specialist I placed the order with to get updates. I called him several times and left voicemails each time. He NEVER called back, not once. The installer finally reached out on September 2 and scheduled the next available installation to begin October 11. Received a confirmation text on October 10. On October 11, I stayed home from work to meet the crew and get things rolling. They no-showed and didn't call. The install crew did show up over the following few days and were great to work with. Some small damage here and there that they didn't fix and didn't tell me about but overall I was pleased with them, my complaints are with Lowe's, not their installer. One window was missing from my order and one window was broken before or during delivery. It's now November 21, nearly 7 months since I paid Lowe's over $20k for this project and it is still incomplete. There are a couple individuals at the store who have been very sympathetic and helpful to the extent they can be and I appreciate them for that. But overall, this has been a terrible experience. Delays happen, I get it. But the communication has been nearly non-existent and I regret having decided to use Lowe's for this project. read more

As big box home improvement warehouses go, I love Lowe's. They don't have that - well, that smell that the "orange box" seems to have all of the time (a product of lawn and garden chemicals, I believe). I've rented a carpet cleaner here (back when they had Rug Doctor; they've recently switched to Bissel; not sure how I feel about that), bought paint for some redecorating, plumbing supplies, lumber, the list goes on. The staff is helpful and will make sure you find what you need. I also had a great experience with getting a car key made here; the employee was a little worried about cutting my blank that had an electronic fob built in, so he suggested cutting a bare key first and having me go out and verify that it worked; it did, and the fob key was a success soon thereafter. All in all, I've had nothing but good experiences with this retailer and this location. read more

This is a major / national home improvement chain. Went two weekends in a row - Saturday 4/18 and Sunday 4/26. Both times had to wait in line for two or three times normal wait because - "Lowe's systems are down" and they could not take payments. Figure it out and quit wasting people's time. read more
