This review might have made it to a four or even a five star had I even been approached by a Lowe's associate, but the Getting here shortly before closing time, obviously had most of the associates working on other things. I don't know what the customer service is like typically at the store because this is literally my first visit here, but tonight it was lacking. There were a couple things I needed, And while I generally have the Lowe's layout down, these were seasonal items, and I'm not as well-versed on where they place some of that stuff. That becomes especially true when we are nearing a change of season and things get put on clearance, aisles, etc. Specifically, I was looking for a specific kind of bird feed, and also Pinionwood. I eventually found the birdseed in the clearance area of the garden section, but I never found the wood. I don't know if they don't have it or if I just couldn't find it. The associates were friendly and helpful, but this store looks like its going out of business. Their stock online is not accurate, so the associates helped me find things they didnt even have. I am not sure if Lowes makes their employees ask people if they want to do random surveys etc. but it was annoying to be asked if I want to buy solar panels in the paint section. Last time I came I was asked about some sort of promotion drawing for home building materials, again in the paint section. read more

I needed something from Lowe's and was in this area of town so we stopped in. The best time to shop at Lowe's (or HD) is Friday evening. Beat the Saturday morning rush when everyone and their brother comes in for their weekend project supplies. We were replacing our ceiling fan in our sunroom and found just what we were looking for. It was a fan with a remote control to turn on the fan blades and the light. I was also looking for some pull-out shelves for a built-in sideboard. I found the Rev-A-Shelf brand shelves that I know are excellent quality as I've bought some before. I couldn't find any shorter sized rollout shelves, only 22" deep and I needed 17" depth. Sadly, they aren't available in that depth so I had to change my plans and go with Container Store Elfa baskets. Saturday morning, hubby started to dismantle the old ceiling fan and then prepare to install the new fan. As he was starting to install, he realized that since there is only a beam it's getting attached to, we would need to return this model and buy the fan that has the pull chains. I'm fine with that. It's what I'm used to. The return/exchange was seamless. I really like the look of the new ceiling fan. I did have to buy chain extensions so that we could reach the pull chains to turn on/off the light or the fan blades. read more

Been a long time customer of Lowes, but no more. Twice in the past six months we have purchased a vanity and other bathroom materials. Received a call four days later on eve of delivery the product had been discontinued, yet advertised on the floor. Few days ago we attempted to purchase a refrigerator. Even though advertised on floor, told no longer available. Then we were told that model was available (2 in stock) on Northwest Highway in Dallas. Went over there, went through checkout process, then told they could not deliver because it was discontinued and the manufacturer warranty may not apply because it was not in a box. Went through all this time and travel and then told a completely different story at checkout. This is two of four issues I have encountered at Lowes. No more! And forget buying their extended warranty. They will not honor it. Nor does Kobalt honor their 5 year warranty even with receipts. read more

I am very disappointed in Lowe's window installation team. We have been very patient with having our experience for over 3yrs. No one there at Lowe's are interested in Customer Satisfaction. As a long customer at Lowe's I am sad to say that we are prepared to make no more major purchases there. I have focused my attention to homedepot where I passed for many years to go to Lowe's, but now we will no longer support Lowe's. People who have asked about our window installation back in the beginning are shocked that we are still having issues with them. I was looking for a utility rack, but this location doesn't offer one with prole polypropylene inlays. I asked an associate in the back if they knew where I could find material, or help me cut it. It was as if I was inconveniencing their day and they kept trying to convince me to buy carpet mats. It didn't make me feel like what I was trying to accomplish mattered at all. I've actually never written a review for any place ever. At 22 years old now this is the worst experience I've had asking for assistance in any store. That rack was $100, and I walked out. Just left this Lowe's where 1/2 the store (front end) lights went out after we had been inside the store for 10 minutes. We were literally yelling "does anyone work here"??? We walked up to an "associate" who pretended he didn't see us and rushed toward the back of the store. Finally ran across an "associate" with his iPhone flashlight on. He tried to help us but gave no apologies for the fact that we were in the dark. No apologies when we told him we had yelled for help. As we made our way to checkout, another "associate" was laughing because "this always happens when she works close because Lowe's knows she don't want to close " (sic). I've had nothing but good service from the employees at this location. That being said, after buying a new water heater and waiting for the company used by Lowes for installation, nothing but frustration. I was told it would be installed between 2 and 6 (April 29). Got a call at 4:16 asking if we could wait until today (April 3) which was an inconvenience but fine. I was told we would be first on their list, between 8-10am (not exactly what I'd call precise IF one was to be first). By 10:20, no technician, no phone call to tell me they'd be late. One the chap did arrive, his attitude for being late, for not calling was 'so what'. He did offer to "help me" put it in. I called the office, a chap with a little better attitude but without an offer to remedy the situation other than "do you want him to put it in?" ---NOT a company I'd want installing anything. I ordered what was supposed to be for curbside pickup but somehow wasn't. Could be my bad. Never ordered at Lowe's before. So I go in the store looking for the blasted lockers mentioned in email to pickup my order. When I get inside the store(never been in this store before) I ask where pickup lockers are. This Hispanic male person snickered and looked at me like I was an idiot. I don't know if his wife thinks it's cool to be treated dumb, or perhaps he simply doesn't realize that working at Lowe's doesn't make him superior to me or anybody else. Just sayin. I normally avoid Lowe's with fervor. This is the one Lowe's that just might change my mind. They are the only store that had the mower maintenance kit I needed at the price I wanted to pay. The store is beautifully clean with plenty of room to walk around items. Only 4 stars because there were not many associates around. Lowe's was the worst experience I've ever had with getting appliances delivered. They claim next day delivery, that didn't happen. When they did finally show up the refrigerator was damaged and couldn't be delivered. To make matters even worse the damaged multiple walls and our stair case when removing the old refrigerator and said they will not fix it because there isn't any proof they did it. I visited this location because it showed a product in stock that my local store didn't have. I sought out help to locate it, as it wasn't where my local store had shelf space for it; the help was a little too long coming, and the associate seemed bothered by the whole thing and wasn't very helpful in locating the item (I eventually found it myself). I hate to ding a place on one visit, but the experience with the associate and just the general feel of the location (lighting didn't seem as good as others) just didn't do it for me. This store is under staffed. Lines out the door in customer service and only one line cashier opened despite the long line of waiting customers. I actually was blocked from moving down a merchandise aisle by an employee who was blocking the aisle. He knew I was there but didn't move. Unbelievable. read more

They fail to mention you have 48 hours to return a product or you are out of luck We purchased a Samsung Washer and Dryer that is "not as advertised" and when I called to return the product I was told - "You are out of luck and stuck with that product". Unless you're into pain, do not get anything like carpet or tile installed by them...I had them do a quote for tile flooring installation and they had an old address in the system, sent the measuring guy to the wrong place. The person in the store was worthless, couldn't help. After they finally got the measurements, again, the store person called about the quote for "carpet." Back and forth we went on that...could barely understand the guy anyway but I never got a real quote. Wasted $35. Also had a refrigerator delivered. They couldn't even figure out how to install the water line...so dumb. I go there for the military discount but now I think it's not worth it at all. read more

Remodeling my house and used this Lowe's to buy everything I needed. Couldn't have been happier from going and picking out what I needed all the way to the delivery of everything. Started out with Carpet and I don't remember the guys name but it was his first day he was amazing at helping out and knew a lot about the product. A manager named Mike helped out in the process and he was fun to work with and very professional. A girl named Lori helped me out with pretty much everything else and I was very lucky to find her; smart girl. Diane the manager helped out as well and I am so happy with all my selections and especially the people and how they made the whole process easy and I felt like they wanted to help which is a rare thing these days. I would strongly suggest using this Lowe's they have wonderful employees. read more

Ordered tile for my bathroom upstairs from Lowes. Day of installation, Their subcontractor Midwest showed up and stated they needed to inspect the subflooring (which I knew) to confirm it would be good enough for tiling even though I was using concrete backer board under the tile. They lifted back the carpet and inspected the entire area. We both agreed that the subfloor was in good shape so they proceeded with the installation. They cut away and removed the old carpet,  tore up the carpet tack strips, and cut some of the molding for the tile to fit underneath. Then in the middle of the job, they changed their mind and said the subfloor was was strong enough. I argued with them, jumping up and down on the subfloor (I weigh 230+ lbs). I said ok, what about laminate flooring? They would not even commit to that. They then just left leaving my bathroom floor as seen in pictures.  I went back down to Lowes to cancel the contract, and was told that Midwest has tried to charge my $44 to remove the carpet!!!! I with  Lowes competition to complete the job. BTW this is against their subcontractor and not the actual lowes employees who were actually awesome. read more

CECILIA in the customer service desk is extremely rude. Her name tag says she's been there for 5 years?! She needs more training in system knowledge and providing polite and professional customer service. Actually, she should be somewhere that doesn't really have much customer interaction, like receiving. She can't even answer the customer service phone with a proper greeting. read more

Angelica is the worst employee that Lowes could have. She's miss know it all, and totally wasted 30-45min of my time. I had a receipt for my purchased, and made it a point to call another employee to veryfy what I was returning. Even the employee that she called was bothered, that very obvious. My house is having some issues, as noted in previous reviews. I wandered into Lowes today quite panic stricken. We are plagued with unplanned remodeling that needs to be done quickly. I hate shopping in general, and picking out paint colors, cabinetry, tile and light fixtures is like going to the 7th layer of hell for me. Sugar Bear is even worse and gets super grumpy when we go shopping together for home necessities. It is really challenging because neither of us really care as long as it looks decent. I decided to do some preliminary shopping so that Sugar Bear wouldn't become Angry Bear when we went together on Saturday. After 4 hours, I think I've got most things chosen so all he has to do is give a yay or nay, and then hand over the Amex. I was very fortunate to have the help of Lori and Elizabeth today. They helped me find EVERYTHING needed for my remodeling process. Their helpful advice really made the chore easier. I was literally shaking and nauseated when I went in, but felt a sense of relief on my way out. My house is going to be gorgeous when everything is done! I'm actually excited about the whole remodel venture now! Lori and Elizabeth really made this task less daunting with their expertise. I'll be back for a follow up appointment tomorrow so we can finalize everything (with Sugar Bear's approval, of course). Then the ball will really get rolling! Ok, now I figured maybe it was just a bad experience with the windows. So I want to replace an old water heater for preventive reasons (still works). The buying experience was GREAT! The salefolks knew the product. So I buy the water heater from them and pay for install ($289) plus parts for the install. They show up and remove the old one no problem; then after taking out the old one the installers say it will be another $120 to complete the install as we need to add an elbow and owe yeah you have to go get this piece for us - mind you, in the middle of an install. So, let's recap, now no water heater, and if we don't pay more for the install and buy another part for what is a common install we are out of luck. I call it black mail. So my wife leaves these two strangers at home to "work" on the water heater and goes to get the part and pay more $$ for what is a common replacement of a water heater. The explanation is the install price is for a slide in and slide out job with no modifications. Has anyone ever heard of an item that is exactly the same years later? Thanks Lowes - We will no longer be a customer of yours. P.S. Oh yea, the water heater replaced was 21 y/o and still working. The longest a heater last now is guaranteed to work 12 yrs and you pay nearly $200 more for that assurance. Wow! We sure have come a long way! read more

I prefer Lowes over Home Depot for its garden area alone. They carry this wonderful compost called Happi-Gro. It's dirt cheap (no pun intended), organic, and I've had great success using both the compost and organic mulch in my vegetable and flower gardens. Additionally, it seems to be a little neater than the HD's in my area and the staff seem much more friendly and helpful. read more

I purchased a very defective mini frig last week and even the manufacturer stated it needs to be exchanged. Lowe's wants $75.00 to send another plus $30.00 to pick up the defective one. If you call customer service at Lowe's you just sit on hold forever. I requested the address of their legal but the online person said she can't supply. What an operation. Came in here a few times buying stuff I needed for the new house. Curtain rods, light kit for a ceiling fan, sconces for other ceiling fans, blinds. The blinds section was a disaster... trying to find the size I needed took two of us and we still had to ask for help. They're pretty helpful... there is an older salesman in the refrigeration dept... he's super knowledgeable.... you know how sometimes you can tell it's just a job for someone... not the case here. He didn't even show signs off irritation at my bazillion questions. My hang ups? The store is small and sometimes you have to wait for a sec to actually get someone's ear. Also... found someone to help, wanted to get installation service... they took my info and said the manager or some lady in the office would call because they needed more info.... she called like eight days later. Lowes had already installed what I needed by then... and they didn't "need more info." They scheduled on the spot. Would I go back? Yes. For installation? Probably not. read more

Ordered dishwasher on 4/14 for delivery/install on 4/22. Delivery put off til 4/30. Installer went to pick it up twice that day, dishwasher not there. I phone today 5/3. Person at Lowe's says they often change the delivery time and web site does not know what is really in the stores. Said I should come in to the store to buy, not waste time ordering on internet. Went in to talk to someone about a kitchen renovation and just get some preliminary questions answered and was meant with two rude employees who couldn't even answer a single question. This was the second time giving Lowe's a chance. First trip I waited over 25 minutes and rang the bell twice and no one could be bothered to help even though employees saw me standing there waiting. Guessing I should NOT have contracted ANY SERVICES with this Lowe's location... bought flooring and install services...they did make the assertion that if they find some out of level foundation floor, we have to level those areas and that's on us. WE PAID ALL MONEYS UPFRONT too. So, they definitely are MISLEADING or plain out lying to you with this leveling assertion as we were told the crew was pulled off the job because I was told they need to level THE ENTIRE FOUNDATION FLOOR... I told the sales guy Mike, I might just sign a waiver and assume any liability from said not leveling... NO CHANCE, never was called to discuss the price for the leveling, or that I could waive liability from the floor contractor... I found out from Jacob the asst manager, who by the way, CARES ZERO about his teams, said the price, a 15% increase over the full value paid and they wouldnt come back until that was paid...SO 1005 plus 15% and you have ZERO RECOURSE...
