We walked in to get a few things and they had a musician playing in the back at the bar. He was amazing and had a handful of people enjoying the experience. Nice ambiance that was unexpected. Lowe's states all over it's marketing material that they are focused on creating customer experiences. When I shop here I do have amazing experiences. Live music at the Beer Den, samples of wine, beer, and foods. We have started bringing friends along and now we buy so many of the Lowe's brand products. I publish a local food blog and plan to write about the Lowe's experiences in an upcoming series about a topic that is important to consumers Their grocery dollar and how their purchases really matter. Thank you Lowe's for knowledgeable staff, fun music, and tasty brand name products. One thing they could work on is recent staff turnover and cleaner restrooms. read more

Lowe's Foods is a beautiful grocer, but sometimes I feel it hasn't found its identity. They have a bar indicating a high end wine educational experience and a prepared food section with pot pie and fried chicken. Overall, the aisles are spaced well, the prepared food, deli and bakery have ample offerings. Nothing amazing and nothing bad. You do need to be a card member to get the deals. Among the major local grocers, their wine prices are among the highest. Overall, it has a high end feel, some items are on the higher end and some on the lower. It is a good grocer and if one is close to you, make sure you get a savings card. read more

So disappointed that the beer den is never open. I loved the idea of getting a drink after work and doing some shopping. I was even willing to drive out of my way and pay more for groceries for this. But, since the beer den is never open, I guess I'll stick to the close grocery store. Bummer. read more

Covid-19 experience at Lowes on Louisburg Road: Placed an order for pick-up using their "To Go" system, got an email conformation of the items and pickup time. When we get to the store there is a small handwritten sign taped to the intercom which reads "You must come inside the store, sorry for the inconvenience". Come inside the store? During a pandemic? We have been trying to do our part, to social distance and stay at home, and now Lowe's decides it's going to price-gouge by charging to collect (less than half) your groceries, and then hold them hostage by making you come in the store whilst bored employees stand around having conversations instead of doing the jobs they are being paid to do. My family will NEVER visit ANY Lowes Foods EVER again. Thanks for lying, gouging, putting us all in danger, and special thanks for not letting anyone know you are doing this. read more

Lowe's in Wake Forest is a nice grocery store. Good selection in all areas, but not a great selection in some areas. The store is clean, the employees are always nice and friendly and will answer questions with a smile on their face and in their voice. The beer garden is a great addition to a grocery store. The ability to buy growlers with local brews and micro brews is something I have never seen at a grocery store before, especially coming from Maryland where beer and wine licenses were so tightly controlled. Not the cheapest store, and when things are on special they are highly competitive pricing wise. I like shopping here as it is not usually crowded and you can take your time and shop, not being rushed as there are so many shoppers pushing you to move faster. Give it a shot and make your own decision. read more

Awful selection...just awful!!! And what happened to the bakery since the remodel?? They literally have nothing but cake! Some staff members are nice but they still have the useless teenagers that look at u like you have 3 heads when u tell them there is a spill on aisle 2 & 15 minutes later it still isn't cleaned up!! There is a really nice guy there who took care of it but why hire someone who clearly doesn't care if customers fall & hurt themselves & sue YOU?? Seriously....what is wrong with this store?? How is it that they have such a poor selection of staples??? Then when you ask someone where to find something, they seem totally annoyed & mumble the answer. This used to be my favorite store, but this one (Wake Forest) has gone down hill bad. I don't know if they've had a change in Management, or what. The produce is extremely sad. Everything is old and wilted, some of it is straight ROTTEN. I thought it was just the produce section, until tonight- I made the mistake of buying shrimp just to realize it was bad when I got home. Lucky for me, this is my friendly, local, neighborhood grocery store. Lowes Foods stores are my grocery store of choice. They have a great selection of meats, produce and dairy, as well as everything else you might need to keep your home stocked with life's essential ingredients. They also have a great bakery and deli. And the prices are much more affordable than at the other grocery store near by, Harris Teeter. The store is always clean and orderly and the people who work here will go out of their way to help you whenever the need arises and they do so with a smile on their faces. I always feels like whenever I shop here, they really do appreciate the fact I choose to shop here and not other places. One thing I really love about Lowes is that they are always having great sales on their already low prices, especially on their meat. And this particular Lowes is open 24 hours a day. That's a huge plus when you forget something on your shopping list or when you need to make a special trip to pick up milk for the kids. read more

Worst management ever. This is the closet grocery store to me, but I will now be doing everything to avoid it at all costs after my encounter today. I purchased a ebay giftcard here, went through self checkout and put $23 when I meant to put $25, and didn't notice the typo. The giftcard was available in amounts of $25-500, so when I went I typed $23 it said an employee will be with you soon. When they came they just typed in a pin didn't read what the screen said but I glanced at it before she typed in the pin. It said "gift card will have no balance" or something along those lines. So I asked her what it said, she said it's fine and the self checkout was acting up. So I swiped my card, and it went through. Well, when I tried to use it, it said there was $0 available. So I called eBay and they told me to go back to here. So I did, asked a manager and she said she that she couldn't do anything but told me to come back exactly at 3:30 when the head manager got here, so that she could refund my card, and then I could go and buy a $25 one. (This person handled it well and was honest about how she did not know how to fix it)Well I come back at 3:30 and the head manager was nothing but rude. She said there's nothing they could do. I said well ebay can't either because I bought it here And they told me the only place that could refund it was the place I bought it at. She proceeded to say she couldn't do anything and was being very rude and talking down on me. I said "basically I lost $23?" And she said "yep" and made a smirk. She said "I don't even know why you put $23, it clearly says $25." And I said I don't know why your Machine accepted it and still charged my card, and neither employees said anything about it. She had nothing to say about that. I told her one last time that eBay cannot do anything and that the store I bought It at has to be the one to refund me. She said "I don't care what anyone says" she said gift cards cannot he returned and that's in our rules. I clearly had no intention of returning, but when I pay $23 for absolutely nothing yah I'm gonna try to get my money back obviously. Ridiculous management, felt so mistreated the whole time. Never coming back here, I hope this employee learns to treat people nicer. read more

Only stopped here for a pound of American cheese, since I was already at Kohls and didn't feel like driving up to my preferred store (HT). My previous visits left me less than satisfied with service at Lowes, but I figured American cheese was easy, right? Well, I waited at the deli counter for 4 or 5 minutes without being acknowledged before the young lady slicing meat said someone would be with me shortly. That someone turned out to be one of the 3 associates leaning against the counter talking in another part of the dept. Ordered the cheese and the person held up a slice from about 20 feet away and said "how's this?" He then cut until he felt it was enough, threw .83 lbs on the scale and without a word, extended the bag to me. At this point I just wanted to leave, so no big deal until I got home and realized I had been given $8 of Cheddar cheese, not American. oh well, never again for Lowes. read more

They have a good beer selection and I like the beer den. But there was no one there. I waited around for 10 minutes but no one came. I was instead going to do a mix 6 pack. But guess what? They did not even have the cardboard carriers there. Looked for someone to help me but no one was around. I left and will go elsewhere. It's nice that they offer a service like the beer den. But what is the point when there is no one working over there? Will not be back. They have the highest grocery prices around too. read more

Fantastic wine and beer selection. Friendly associates. Wide variety of grocery items, including almost impossible to find grape leaves. Just add dill yogurt, and yummmmm. A store that deserves your patronage. read more
