Prices are lofty, the same meal can be had at Wegmans for less half of what I paid. A 3% charge for using a credit card is laughable in a world where no one carries cash. As it was my first visit, I asked about sauces and the girl at the counter said it was self serve. I had a positive reaction that one of the other staffers loudly mocked...¡Él dijo AWESOME! Spanish for, "He said, awesome!" in a very feminine falsetto voice. Erica was rude to my friend and I who are regular customers here. Then she tried to charge me 2 dollars extra for a tip. She was laughing towards me saying there was nothing she could do until I requested the manager who was able to remove the tip. Food is great and we love coming here but our experience with Erica was less than bare minimum for customer service. read more

First time trying this fabulous food! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful with us. The eating area was clean and well maintained. My husband had the Wednesday - Chop Chop Special. Comes in a huge bowl with Tostones on the side! Delicious!! I had the Pollo Saltado! The chicken was so tender and juicy! Excellent! 2nd visit to the newest outlet of this local chain. Food is excellent as expected! It's a brand new building, square shaped. Order at the counter at the back, overlooking the kitchen, cafeteria style. There's plenty of seating at the front, along the side and at 8 picnic tables under a covered patio. Menu is easy to interpret. Service is quick and friendly. There is a full crew, even though the shop is newly opened, and they are all well trained and efficient. Chicken is the thing here and it does not disappoint. Cooked rotisserie-style over charcoal to give the crisp skin that unique and delicious taste. Chicken is moist, juicy and nicely seasoned. Sides on this trip are beans and rice and platanos. Beans are classicly seasoned and long-simmered till soft and perfect. Rice is sticky without being mushy. Platanos fried to sticky, crunchy, sweet deliciousness. Pro tip- if you order beans and rice and have them serve the beans OVER the rice then you get to pick an additional side. Stopped here for dinner, great decision! The food is absolutely delicious, the Peruvian chicken is seasoned so well and is so tender, the quinoa salad was delicious, the plantains are phenomenal Restaurant is brand new, so it is very clean, the atmosphere is casual and very friendly and welcoming and very well lit. The service was fast, my quarter chicken combo was ready first, we did have to wait about five minutes for the quinoa salad. Plenty of parking with a dedicated parking lot, location of South Main! There are many businesses packed into this small area, and I'd complain if the newest addition were anything other than Alpaca Chicken! This location is tucked away, set behind the Wendy's and Valvoline. I visited on a Friday around 11:45am and there was one parking space left. I thought it was going to be crowded, but it turns out there just isn't much parking. The outside is very pretty, clean and stands out among the surrounding establishments. There's a lot of outdoor seating. As you go in you'll see a large menu overhead and you order cafeteria style. I got 1/4 dark meat and two sides. My sides were premium - green beans and plantains. My husband got the same but with rice and black beans, which are considered regular sides, no up charge (he's not fancy like me). For two meals with soft drinks it was around $28 and that initially felt pricey, then I think, this is real food. The chicken was absolutely delicious, like nothing I've had anywhere else. Crispy skin, tender meat, a little smokey. The green beans were delicious, perfectly cooked with some garlicky sauce, and the plantains were also some of the best I've ever had. Everything was nice and hot, fresh. The two sauces (green and yellow - that's what they are called) taste house made , with the green having a little kick. The service was very friendly. I imagine this location will do very well. I'm excited to go back and try other items such as the Arroz Chaufa - A Peruvian style stir-fried rice with chicken, sausage, egg and scallions. I ordered 2 Whole chicken meals for my family and they gave us only 4 of the tiny sauces (2 yellow, 2 green). Why? 8 pieces of chicken should come with at minimum 8 tiny sauce cups. That is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, one of my sides was missing from the bag. Will not be returning because clearly they didn't pay attention to detail nor do they care about keeping customers. The service is ok, however, the employees, seemed unhappy no smiles, just performed like robots. The ambiance is nice. The food, especially the chicken, the seasoning, didn't penetrate the chicken and showed on the outside of chicken which made the chicken look not so appetizing. I ordered a whole chicken and ask for it to be cut in 8 pieces and the way it was cutup was ridiculous. The breast meat tasted mushy. I was disappointed. I placed my order when they were open and drove 24 mins just for them to tell me after saying the food would be reading in 15/20 mins, that the register was closed. This place was so cute and had the best vibes. There was a giant oven that was slow roasting all of the chicken and you could see inside of it- the little kid in me was quite entertained. The food was absolutely dumb and the sauce was stupid. I mean this in a good way; the chicken was so juicy, the yuca fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the plantains were SO good. Food good, workers not so much.Was here Sunday Jan 12 at 3:30. One of the workers I Think his name is Javier, laughed behind a customers back snickering and sneering to his female coworker. First time here and boy was I glad I stopped in. Interior is clean and well kept with a fresh modern design. Ordered the Friday Special Jerk Chicken at a steal of a price for the food I got. Plate came out 5 minutes after I ordered it so super quick. And it tasted oh so good. Nothing worse than driving to a location that has its business hours listed as open and they're closed 3 hours early. I try to avoid negative reviews these days but literally dozens of people were walking up surprised because the only signage was a very small note that was not there a week previous. Boy was I excited to get an Alpaca in The Forest. With that being said, I hope they work on their attention to detail. Order lomo saltado to go from their app. Requested extra fries instead of rice as their app allows. Also asked for "no cilantro" in the special request section. It doesn't list it as an ingredient but I know they usually put it on. Anyway, got rice and cilantro. Good news is that the bites that didn't taste like soap were fantastic. Cmon guys!
