The food is always fresh so I never mind having to pull up to wait. It's always a lot of food and it's great for the value

Good and service are great! I recommend the whitefish. It's consistently great! Oh the okra is amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Food was OK. It was fresh; we had a variety of seafood - catfish, shrimp, oysters and crab claws. What surprised me was that everything, including the hushpuppies, tasted the same. Everything was coated in the same batter and obviously cooked in the same oil, so the shrimp tasted just like the fish & oysters and it all tasted like the hushpuppies. And in all my 77 years, I have never seen crab claws that small. They were so small the membrane inside wasn't even developed so it was like that part wasn't even there. It's really a shame because the flavor and seasoning were on point. The other weird thing was the tartar sauce. Surely there was something else in those little souffle cups besides mayo? I couldn't find any grated onion, pickle relish or taste any lemon juice. Just mayo. Maybe these are just cost cutting measures because the prices are pretty low for quality seafood. So excited that one of my favorite seafood restaurants in Mobile has opened a location closer to home- yes we enjoy the location on Springhill Avenue but the same great people have opened up a new spot near the Goodwill on Azalea Road!! just in time for fish Fridays during Lent! read more

I can't remember how I found out about Love's seafood but I wanted to give it a try. I know I've passed the one on Springhill but have never been. The Azalea road location is much closer to me. Anyway, I was checking their menu because I wanted to do takeout. I saw that they had a soft shell crab poboy. That sounded very interesting to me. I'd never had a crab poboy before. I ordered that and it came with fries. I went to pick up my food. When I was on the phone ordering the person taking my order informed me that I could pick up my order through the drive thru. That was not a problem. He explained that the inside of the restaurant was closed. I'm not sure when the inside closes but I ordered around 7 or so. Like I said that wasn't a problem for me. I was in the drive thru for a few minutes and picked up my food fairly quickly. When I got home I was eager to find out what this poboy was about. I peeked at the sandwich and was a little underwhelmed. To be fair, I didn't really know what to expect. I think I thought the poboy would be fuller than it was. Now when I bit into the sandwich it was really good. It had a lot of flavor it just was a small sandwich. The fries with my poboy were pretty good. No complaints there. Even though I was a little underwhelmed with the poboy I still want to go back and try other items on the menu. The seafood boils look delicious. read more

I would give a below star, if I could, ugh . I have been coming to this place since I've been here, for a few years. Pretty much get the same thing. The usual guys that take my order were not there today. It's the weekend so I was served by 2 ladies and a latin dude, who seemed to be a slight irritable ..but anyways. I ordered the shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp. They did not give me extra shrimp, so I went back and he gave me a dipping cup size of shrimp, ugh! This is NOT how I usually get it. Normally, they put the extra shrimp on top. But the disgruntled latin dude handed it to me. When I noticed that all the shrimp had veins, I was grossed out! I called. They said that the manager had left. I had explained what happened and she told me to come back and that they will make another order, they apologized. I didn't trust it, so I just went back and requested my money back. Then that's when they both tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with eating shrimp sh*t/veins/waste feces,smh, UGH, and that all of there shrimp is like that. Wtf?! I ain't everrrrrr ate shrimp fried rice from them and had a whole plate of veined sh*tty shrimp! JS.. anyone can get sick from that. Now, I can innerstand 1 or 2 pieces, but the entire meal! That's disgusting..... Why would they think I would want another order of that if they had the audacity to tell me that all their shrimp is like that?! Who says that? I don't care what size or kind, who wants to eat sh*tty shrimp?! NOT ME.. WE won't be back. This is the Azalea location. read more
