Banana Dock's Chicken
Caitlin D.

Dauphin's is such a treat! I take clients there to eat every time I'm in town and everyone leaves amazed. The food and the service is always amazing. The ambiance is elegant and perfect for meetings. I would love to try something new on the menu, but I just can't turn down the banana docks chicken. The chicken is perfectly juicy every time!

Steakhouse Filet Salad

The view as we're great! I really enjoyed the steak salad! My steak was absolutely cooked perfectly. Kenneth our server was amazing as well. He was so amazing the whole time! The dessert was delicious. I would definitely come back. It's the perfect place to get dressed up for! Only small issues I had was the food took a really long time to receive. Including the dessert as well. The bathroom could use some updating as well. Other than that it was such a great experience

Now this is always a staple for us to go to when we visit Mobile as my father is from there we always come from Mardi Gras and Christmas. The views are spectacular. Ambience is great. Service is great food unmatched.

Eggs a la Bama - A breakfast meal on a white plate includes scrambled eggs topped with chopped green onions, roasted potato chunks, and a small cup of creamy cheese grits garnished with herbs. The setting appears to be a restaurant table with additional dishes and condiments visible in the background.

Been a few times, and I highly recommend their brunch! Their dinner is good, but definitely more pricey. Brunch is reasonable and very tasty! Plus you can see the views during the day! Service was very nice! We made a reservation, and though our whole party wasn't there, when we asked if we could go ahead and be seated they took us back. Ordered: Joe Cain dip - spinach and artichoke dip but elevated. Could eat with a spoon! Breakfast bowl - everything was cooked well Royal st. Rooster - huge chicken sandwich! Said sidewinder fries, but was told later they didn't have any which was a bummer Fried gulf shrimp - fried perfectly Eggs a la bama - love fried green tomatoes! And the potatoes were great

Perfect for lunch! We walked in and were immediately seated by a window. The view during the day is spectacular. It's a very professional setting. Service was on point. We were served French bread with two different flavors of butter. Our entrees were huge for a lunch portion and delicious. This is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat!. I had fried shrimp and asparagus and he had a chicken sandwich that rivaled any I have ever seen!

View was amazing. Food (cheese board) was so so (crackers were stale, I was too lazy to send them back). The waitress was awful. She not only forgot small plates for the cheeseboard. She forgot silverware. She forgot our second order. And she forgot to come back and ask for the second drink . Dress is upscale. But you can dress casual and sit in the chairs as you come in by the bar.

This is our first time at Dauphins . We are in Mobile for the evening and decided to try it out . The bread they bring out is a baguette and it comes with the whipped hibiscus coconut butter and the sea salt butter . Believe me the hibiscus coconut butter is the winner it's got a sweet taste a lot like honey . My husband had a side salad that is their house salad and it was good with fresh lettuce , tomato , red onion , carrot, cucumber and croutons . For our entree he has the filet mignon that came with Parmesan asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes he said it was excellent. I had the Steak Diane which is the surf and turf , the grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned well , the beef tenderloins were cooked to order and the mushroom Demi glacé was great , I also had the Parmesan asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes which was also delicious. Our server Monica was friendly and very great at service . I do highly recommend this restaurant if you are in downtown Mobile . We will do sure be back again when we come back to this area . Side note it is a nice and quiet like fine dining and the view is absolutely gorgeous.

Me and a group of friends had a reservation for a birthday dinner at Dauphin's. The reservation was relatively late so we were one of the last parties. It was a quiet night and the staff was so sweet. The bartender made me a drink that I didn't really like so she replaced it with a custom drink. I told her I love hibiscus and tequila so she made me a hibiscus margarita/martini. It was so good that several of the ladies in my group ordered it as well. I ordered the Joe Cain Dip which I wasn't a huge fan of. It wasn't bad, just not my favorite. The Pasta Del Mar made up for it 10000%. The food was hot and perfectly plated. Nothing was overcooked and the mussels were really good. Also, our server was absolutely amazing. She made sure to answer all of our questions and was very detailed in her descriptions of the different menu options. It was my first time going to Dauphin's for dinner but it definitely won't be my last.

Filet Mignon which was prepared perfectly. Very tasty!

I was on my way back from Orlando and stopped in Mobile for the night and decided to take my girlfriend to Dauphins for dinner. First.. The view of Mobile is spectacular. The ambiance is very nice. Big city feel to it. Now for the food. For appetizers we split the Bama Gump which was superb. Loved the fried green tomato's! My girlfriend had filet mignon which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Rasta pasta which was wonderful. For dessert.. we split the Bimini Key lime pie which was superb. Our server was wonderful and made our dinner out special. If you are looking for a romantic restaurant with great views and service.... I recommend Dauphin's. We will return when we ever get back to Mobile.

We've dined at the Dauphin's a few times before during previous visits to Mobile, AL and always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit during Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a letdown. While the service was okay, the food left much to be desired. The main issue was the white fish of the day limon style, which was overcooked ~ extremely dry and hard with a side of overcooked, slimey asparagus. This was quite disappointing, especially since it's a dish I've enjoyed here in the past. However, the rest of the items we ordered were pretty good, maintaining the quality I've come to expect. I have to add that portions are above average size so if you're looking to try dessert, you may want to skip appetizers. One consistent highlight is the view from the 34th floor, which is simply amazing and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, especially during sunset. The cocktail with thyme is also great. Overall, this visit was not as impressive as previous ones, but I hope it was just an off night for the kitchen. We may give it another chance due to the beautiful setting and the generally good food we've had in the past. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I'd only be able to give it 3 stars.

What a LOVELYYYYY Brunch experience. Wow! I am truly astounded by the views, service and prices! Being from Atlanta, this experience would have EASILY cost 2x-3x as much. At Dauphin's you get what feels like a 5 star experience for an affordable price. We were so pleased with our experience (and our server Stevie P was a delight!). Can't wait to come back here and try out lunch and dinner. If you come, you HAVE to try the beignets! And ask for window seating because the view is amazing.

Tres Salsas

Dauphin's is supposed to be one of the nicer places for dinner around town, but I'll admit I was not impressed by the service or food. The view was beautiful, and the dress code was nice but not enforced. We checked the website and called to verify about the open-toed shoes, and all the dress code rules were reiterated. We were happy to oblige. Upon entering there were several folks wearing hats, some wearing jeans, and a few wearing shorts-- all against their "dress code policy." Okay. Our server was nice but seemed very anxious or unsure. It took a long time to place drink orders, then my drink was spilled on the table and phones when placed in front of me. No help or apology to clean up. Our food orders were taken in the most random order, and one member was skipped altogether. Our server had to come back to get his order. Lastly, out of all six of us eating here, only two people actually enjoyed their meals. The oysters weren't great; the flounder tasted as if it was not fresh but frozen; one of the filet mignon entrees looked like a tiny meatball and was bland as ever; and the tres salsas fish entree was a bust for both people that ordered it. The price wasn't the problem; the value isn't there. This place is striving to be fine dining but missing the mark on truly achieving it. This meal was a celebratory outing, yet it was not very well enjoyed by the group. It's a shame, really. We'd have had a better meal going to Baumhower's for wings!

For our first course, I chose the seared scallops and hubby got the fish cakes. The scallops were Excellent! Served with butternut squash grits and pesto. The dish was as beautiful as it was delicious. Hubby's fish cakes were ok but nothing special. The breading overpowered the halibut. Next we both had the spring salad. It was nice and fresh but it really isn't strawberry season and it showed. For our entrees, hubby choice the panko crusted fish and I picked the line caught fish. The panko crusted was mahi mahi, a nice big fillet with the crunchy panko. A bit greasy but overall good. The Noja potatoes were a hit. The Brussels Sprouts were crispy but greasy. Unfortunately the line caught fish was a disappointment. It was golden tilefish. The filet looked beautiful but had absolutely no taste. It was served with a lemon caper sauce but the lemon completely overshadowed the fish. The restaurant was nice enough to offer a different entree but as a pescatarian, the options were limited. If I was a meat eater, I would give them another shot. It's a shame that while living on the coast, it is difficult to find a restaurant that consistently knows how to prepare an upscale fish dinner.

Yall they put effin' SUGAR in the greens. Reeeeeediculous! That's a family or personal preference & should not be in a restaurant w/o full disclosure. They tasted HORRIBLE but didn't surpass the pork chop. The breading was salty & the gravy was even more so. What a salty sick to my mouth mess! They told me the cheesecake was homemade-I doubt it.
