SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES & MOM & POP SHOPS ! It is crazy how different this little corner cafe shop looks now. Love the simple, cute aesthetic. There's patio seating outside and who would have thought that such a lovely eatery is located so close to me? The owners are SUPER SUPER nice and hospitable. They checked up on us multiple times and they were worried that we'd spill one of our drinks since the lid was a bit wonky (no big deal for us). We got the: 1) Hazelnut & Caramel Lattes: -A nice cold pick me up for the start of a hot day (we got this around brunch time) and it definitely woke me up without any jitters. -The coffee flavor isn't too strong, which is perfect for me and had just the right amount of sweetness and milk. Very subtle caramel and hazelnut flavors. 2) Chilaquiles LovChCh (with an over easy egg for $1.50): -HUGE, HUGE portions. They were also nice enough to give us extra disposable plates and utensils so that we could share. -Even with 2 people, we struggled to finish this, just goes to show how much food they give you. -We got the red sauce and everything was flavorful. Egg was cooked perfectly and there was enough sauce, sour cream, and toppings for the entire meal. 3) Chicken Quesadilla: -Weekend special! -Very cheesey and the chicken meat was moist and plentiful throughout our quesadillas. -It also comes with a decent sized side salad and a side of dressing. -We were in a hurry and couldn't inquire about salsa, but that would have been the cherry on top for our chicken quesadillas lmao. 4) Churros Artisan: -Comes with 4 pieces and you can choose either chocolate, caramel, dulce de leche, or lemon curd. -They were nice enough to give us a sample of each one when my friend inquired. -Despite us taking forever to finish our chilaquiles, the churros were still warm and crispy when we went to enjoy our dessert. Good stuff! Absolutely will return, especially since I'm a huge sucker for churros. So glad that there's a wonderful breakfast/brunch place nearby. read more

I had no idea, but the lovely owner of Lov Ch Ch, Araceli, shared with me the cultural history of enjoying churros. I always thought of it as a dessert, never as a breakfast food. But if you think about it, it's kind of like a donut but in stick form.... Lov Ch Ch has been open a whole 3 weeks now, and it's a cute little cafe spot in the west end of Walnut. Their menu is pretty limited to churros, coffee drinks, and a few sandwiches and chilaquiles. I ordered the Churros Artisan and the iced coconut latte - Araceli asked if I wanted it topped with shredded coconut, because the traditional drink has it, and I said yes, please! The coconut latte was muy bueno!! I tried the churros with the chocolate and the dulce de leche dips. The churro is crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Sooo good! The dulce de leche tasted like condensed milk. I actually liked the churros with the chocolate dip more. This spot is located next to the Chevron gas station and neighbors a number of auto repair shops. Since it shares the lot with so many other shops, it is pretty difficult to find parking. There's a shaded side patio that customers can lounge and eat at. Such a friendly staff, it was our first time there and she immediately greeted us and went through the menu and served us samples. Cute little area, it has indoor and outdoor seating. I've been here before and had a good experience and revisiting didn't disappoint either. This time I ordered the Rise and Shine Bagel (w/ ham), churros ice cream bowl (strawberry ice cream), and their house brew coffee. Coffee was ok, nothing special. But their bagel sandwich...OMG...first of all, their food prep time usually takes a while, but I'm okay with that, since it's because they actually make the food with the order fresh and hot and is not pre-made/heated. Back to the bagel sandwich...the bagel bread itself is SO SOFT. I have NEVER had a bagel this soft, and it was so good even with the bread itself. But the inside fillings make it so much better--the cheese was melted really well, there was enough ham and egg, the red spread on the bread added a nice kick, and the cream cheese was also a REALLY nice kick. Would've been ok with more cream cheese. This comes with chips or fruits (your choice). And the churros too...OMG...last time I only tried their chilaquiles, which was also good, but I'm so glad I finally tried their churros, which I have been eyeing for months. The moment you take a bite it melts and tastes like heaven. Seriously. The long wait time is so worth because the churros are hot and so soft. The ice cream bowl comes with ice cream of your choice+4 looped churros+whipped cream+little bit of chocolate syrup+sprinkles. The strawberry ice cream didn't taste that good to be honest; it's not the strawberry flavor like haagen dazs, for example. But it was a good combo of hot churros+cold ice cream+dipped in whip cream. YUM. And the outside looks like a small local shop, but the inside is actually spacey and has a good amount of seating. Plus there's additional outside seating on the side, which they have heaters for. One of the reasons I also love this place is because it's so clean. The food presentation is neat and the inside is also super clean. And the staff are always very friendly. The only downside is their parking. They only have 2 spots reserved for Lov Ch Ch customers right in front. I parked in the 1hr spot near the gas station (just a few steps away). Please try them. You will never be disappointed. read more

Absolutely stellar experience at Lov Ch Ch in Walnut, CA! From the moment I stepped in this morning, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. I had only wanted a breakfast protein bagel, but the pictures of the chilaquiles on the menu caught my eyes. I was really happy with my decision. The protein bagel was stacked and filling, but not heavy. I ate 1/4 of it and will be saving the rest for lunch later. It was my first time trying chilaquiles and I know I will be back for sure. Small and quaint location, it's a perfect little breakfast cafe. I ordered a turkey ciabatta that was absolutely delicious, choose pickles as a side and came with banana peppers on the side as well. the portion was big enough to feed two. I've tried both the matcha frappe and vanilla iced latte, the coffee is strong and not overly sugary like other coffee locations, for those that like their coffee to have a bit of a kick. Hello good morning you guys! the experience was great it had a modern feel to it, Spanish decor was awesome. There is outdoor seating being that it's small inside. I did see a lot of takeout while there so that was a plus for me being a first timer. In Regards to the food, I ordered the Chilaquiles in Chile Verde with a combination of chorizo and all it's fresh toppings. Just thinking about it makes me wanna go get some right now. Hehe.... I strongly recommend them I know they also have a salsa Roja option if you have a Red sauce kinda preference but all in all it's very delicious. Today I had the Healthy Fit Salad, let me just say this, one of the absolute, most delicious salads I've ever had, and I consider myself to be a salad person. This salad was so fresh and so very tasty. The lettuce was fresh, fresh, fresh, the most beautiful Harvest Lettuce, with lots of chicken, cucumbers, baby tomatoes, yummy feta cheese, walnuts, cranberries and my favorite Beets (which is why I decided to try this salad), topped with a wonderful light white wine vinaigrette.
