When you walk in, I feel that you are pleasantly surprised with a lovely atmosphere, with tall tables, a private room, large bar, and then... A lounge. An open room with comfy couches, and coffee tables. Mood lighting, big tv's if you're into watching a game. They have a great wine menu, mixed drinks, and beers. And even serve up some snacks. This place is very inviting, and a chance to unwind after work. I've been in, when they have had a free wine tasting in the private room, which was a great addition to the evening. The location is basically in the heart of South Meadows so stopping in here and there is usually right along our travels. The gentleman at the bar always recommends great wines and the pricing is really reasonable. The decor and comfortable seating make for a pleasant sanctuary type experience. Went here on a Tuesday night about 5:30pm. Met some friends after work and they had already ordered some various food which all looked great. I went up to the bar to order my drink and it was brought out to me in a timely manner. The decor is nice and comfortable with various sitting areas as well as the bar and what I would describe as a wine room. Service was good but they could have checked on us more frequently and we would have likely ordered even more drinks. My only complaint is we were not asked about splitting the bill during the evening and when we were ready to leave the employee told us it was all on one bill. Then we had to proceed to divide it up accordingly. Cool atmosphere and a convenient location for South Reno. read more

Love this wine bar! Great service, and the staff has a well rounded knowledge of the wine they serve. I told our server what type of wine I was in the mood for and she immediately gave a suggestion and brought me a glass. It was perfect. Exactly what I wanted when I didn't even know what I wanted! Their food options are pretty decent, too. We ordered the pear, Gorgonzola, and walnut flatbread and were blown away by how tasty it was. It was the perfect complement to soak up some of the booze we drank. I'll echo some of the other Yelp reviews. The sign on the outside was a bit deceiving. I wanted a wine bar, but the sign made me think I was waking into a pool hall. I did not realize the caliber of this wine bar and I'm so glad I checked it out. This is such a fun place and in an unsuspecting location. Outside, I'm in a strip mall. Inside, I'm in a swanky spot with cool vibes and hand-crafted cocktails. I had a happy hour here with my ladies and the ambiance, drinks, and service were all top shelf. Be prepared to pay $12 per cocktail, but the attention to detail provided by the service and pride that is expressed through their beverages made that perfectly okay with me. Pleasantly surprised by the interior of this bar. It's very nice inside with plenty of couches to relax on. A fine tasting room, with a large high table in the middle. Large TV's playing sports. I appreciate the amount of seating there are and private corners for an intimate date. The choice of music on a Saturday night was 70s, 80s. I would have enjoyed newer music, but I understand they're catering to a slightly older generation. Although the bartender was very nice, I was not too impressed with the choice of cocktails. Prices were steep compared to the quality of cocktails you can get midtown. We tried four different drinks from the menu, but none of them inspired us enough to want another glass. They ranged from $9-$12/cocktail. I would really love to see more creative cocktails on the menu that are not citrus based. Almost all the drinks involved lime. read more

I did like do for everything Else in life and hopped on Yelp to see what the bottom line was with this place. Like almost every other time, my fellow helpers were pretty accurate. The pictures I saw on yelp made me have to go here. It had a chill laid back but still very current feel to it. We went on a Friday night with a large group and had a blast! Now THIS is my kind of neighborhood bar. It's clean. It's friendly. And it has a good selection of affordable wines to choose from without a crazy corkage fee! We have been in a few times and only once was it less than a great experience. That one time was at the very beginning of their existence so it doesn't really count. But the next two times have been great! The bartender remembered us, and did a great job making cocktails that didn't seem to be filled with garbage sugar. The first time I went in, I had a Hemingway Daiquiri. So good. Not cloyingly sweet and well balanced. The second time I went in, I wasn't feeling like drinking, so I had him mix me up a handful of ginger lemon and soda water. Hit the spot and was just what I needed. The space is beautiful and higher end. This isn't a sports bar where you go and sit and watch the game with your hat on backwards. It's a place where you can go and watch the game and enjoy some adult time. It feels like the total opposite of so many bars these days. It's classy and refined but nowhere near pretentious. I haven't had an opportunity to try the food offerings yet, but it's on the to do list. But for now, it's great to have a bar within walking distance that caters to adults wanting to act like adults in an adult setting. read more

Lounge opened in June 2017 and since it opened, I've been longing to try it out. My biggest mistake was waiting until October! As one of South Reno's only bars, it sets some high standards. Lounge offers a classy and relaxing vibe. There are comfortable couches, chairs, and tables for seating. It truly is a place to go get drinks and lounge with friends. They have a great selection of wines and cocktails. They also offer small plates to snack on while you drink. During my visit, my group tried a good selection of the cocktails and each was a pleasant surprise. The bartender did a great job mixing drinks and engaging in conversation. Each cocktail was unique to Lounge. My personal favorite mix drink from the night was an Aperol Spritz. The owner worked hard at creating a pleasant environment and an excellent menu, and she definitely succeeded! I'm a big fan of Lounge and I will definitely be back. read more

Really nice neighborhood bar. Unfortunately it is not in my neighborhood! I think this is one of those places that is worth the drive from Downtown to South Reno. It is very unassuming on the outside - tucked away in the corner of a strip mall on South Meadows Parkway. It would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it. When entering from the bright outside it is very dark. I really got an overwhelming rush of black and purple. Once my eyes adjusted, the fine attention to light and detail and decor was very evident. This is NOT a dive bar. It is sleek and sophisticated and is designed for meeting, and visiting and relaxing. A friend and I stopped in to check it out as a possible location for a future Girls Night Out event. We each had a drink (a craft Martini for my friend, a mocktail for me). The drinks were tasty, fresh and well made. The bartender is a craftsman and made me a lovely non-alcoholic drink from my "something fresh and light but not too sweet" request. We had the pleasure of meeting Patti, the owner, and discussed our upcoming event. She couldn't have been more helpful and had great suggestions for some possible events. They have wine tasting every Wednesday. They also have a generous Happy Hour with reduced cost on drinks and a small selection of appetizers. I am looking forward to a return visit. read more

This place is quite the gem! Don't let the outside fool you. It's an awesome interior with couches, a large wine selection. The prices are excellent and surprisingly affordable for excellent quality. We ordered a bottle of Austin hope cab rated 97 points and got it for under 60 bucks. They also do wine tasting Wednesdays that are complementary and you get to try some interesting wines. We needed some wine for a tasting and since we were at Lounge we decided to pick up a bottle there. We talked to the owner about some options and were convinced that one was best and so we purchased it. We were advised it was a "good" price. Since this was for a tasting we didn't have tons of time to research and had to go on trust. A few days later we saw the same bottle at Craft and it was 50% cheaper ! It wasn't on sale, just the regular price. At a restaurant it is customary for the bottles to be marked up by 50% but not a wine bar ..... c'mon that's not cool. I don't like getting taken advantage of and I am not coming back. I like to be relaxed and I can't be if I am skeptical. I am all for them making money but not 50% mark up! Cool vibe in this place, just and unbelievably kicked-back place to relax enjoy. Since the bartender, Josh, is a sommelier and they have a huge selection of both good quality wine and a good variety of liquor behind the bar, it has the feel of a trendier lounge like you might find in Vegas or LA, mashed up with a quality wine bar like you might find in San Francisco or Seattle (sorry folks, all my references are West Coast). I've been known to drop in and huddle in a corner with my laptop in the afternoon, nursing a draft beer, and I've also spent countless hours here with my wife trying amazing wine from all over the world, which has totally changed me about wine. Turns out, not all wine has to be from California. Who knew? There are a couple of good food options in the same shopping center with Pho La Mint and Great Full Gardens, but if you find yourself not wanting to leave, as I often do, the food options here are very good. I'm a big fan of both the artichoke dip and the reuben they make. Lastly, if wine isn't your jam, Josh mixes a crazy-good mixed drink and has encyclopedic knowledge of spirits, not to mention somehow landing the occasional, elusive bottle of high-end bourbon or Japanese whiskey -- I've tasted stuff even enthusiast friends of mine had never heard of, which I later tried to buy elsewhere and simply could not. I'll be very honest. I live about a mile from this place and I have been 3 times in the 3 years that I've lived in Reno. Every time I have been in the owner and the bartender have this really off vibe. They act like they don't really want people to come in and have a good time. It feels like they want people to order drinks and whisper to their friends the whole time. A "lounge" should be a place where people can cut loose after a long work day. This isn't the place! I wish the owner would take note that their attitude towards customers seems to be an issue. read more

I've been a regular here for awhile and previously left a good review. However, during this time of Covid 19 shutdown I was extremely disappointed with them. I am trying to support local businesses and order takeout. I work at the hospital and I know the dangers our community is facing. I called in my order Saturday night and the owner said she was kind of backed up and it would be about two hours. That was fine, and it would be ready at 6:15. I was very disappointed when I walked in and saw six people sitting at the bar, one with a full decanted bottle of wine in front of him, and no one was six feet apart or had masks on. There was an additional woman sitting on a couch and two people behind the bar. Needless to say I was shocked and unfortunately will no longer patron this local business. read more

Stopped in one night with hubby for tappas and wine and was completely blown away! Don't judge it from the outside. The inside is very cool! Love backlit blue walls. Comfortable seating, sports playing on the screens but not so loud As to ruin the atmosphere for those not into sports.The chartureteri (sp) tray that my husband and I shared was amazing! The bread was warm and the cheese selection was excellent! And the wine was pretty impressive. But it was also 11.50 glass for their house wine. But a nice pour as far as that goes. I wanted to love this place. Not too far from home and convenient to get to. We kept hearing about how posh yet inviting this place is. So, we gave it a try. We loved the decor and the ambiance. The Hubby and I are 'sit at the bar' folks - you know so that you can build a relationship with the bartenders. I always feel that if the bartender knows you, the better they will be to help you navigate the plethora of fine wines and spirits. I always start off with a Capt and Coke and the Hubby loves his Long Island Iced Tea, with tequila. At order time, the bartender in a not-so-nice way let us know they "don't make Long Islands at this bar". Really?? Yup, really. I asked if there was a mixed drink he could make with tequila, which he did, which the Hubby drank all the while longing for his Long Island...and I got my Capt and Coke. We got some chips, salsa, and guacamole. The guac was good and the salsa had a nice flavor. And after being put off with the Long Island snobbery, we left. read more

We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and the cheese and charcuterie plate. Often, when you order a cheese plate, the offerings are pretty skimpy. This wasn't the case at The Lounge. The portions were generous and the quality good.
