This is a deceiving location for a nice wine bar, but I was pleasantly surprised about how nice it is inside. They have a wide selection of wines with knowledgeable staff. Has a full bar too and happy hour specials. I attended the free wine tasting on Wednesday evenings and a wonderful flight of 3 whites (one even from the Loire Valley in France) and 3 red wines. This place is awesome! I was a little skeptical of a bar in the same center where I buy my groceries and get my dry cleaning done, but I'm not a skeptic any longer! When you walk in you immediately forget that you're in a shopping center. Lounge is super cool, classy, comfortable, and upscale. There are a variety of seating options - high tops, barstools at the bar, as well as couches. Be prepared to be flexible about where you sit, because every time I've gone the place is pretty packed! They have games to play - I hadn't played Yahtzee for years! - a small food menu, and an extensive booze menu. We tried several of the food items and they were all great. The owner is a sommelier and can tell you about every wine on the list, and make recommendations based on your preferences. The wine list has a nice variety, full of wines I've never heard of (which I love!). Their recommendations have always been spot-on. I'm not a mixed drink girl usually, but my husband has ordered some of their specialty drinks and they are fun and unique. Bottom line - this is a great place! Maybe third times a charm. First time ok, second time = worst service I've probably ever had at a bar. My husbands whisky coke was mostly coke. My drink tasted like ears wax and grapefruit juice. We sat with empty glasses after, yes, enduring the drinks, for about 10 minutes until I had to ASK for the bill. I will not be recommending this bar to a friend and will not be returning myself. Well we happened on this place because we wanted an out-of-the-way place to get away from the congestion of Hot August Nights. This is a hidden gem that's in the Smiths plaza on South Meadows Parkway. When you walk in, the lights are dim and there are blue lights on the walls that set the scene for a nice chill place. There is a regular bar and then also a separate sitting area that's sofas and comfortable chairs. The music is perfect. Jazzy, easy listening music. Very classy. There is a wine room where you can go in and buy bottles of wine to take home or buy a bottle and stay and drink it. There is an extensive selection. There are small plates and appetizers to snack on and they are quality ! Very nice upscale bar with reasonable prices and we will definitely be back ! What a surprise. "Lounge" is pretty funny name and I'm a shopping center throws you off but it's friendly and comfortable and Josh (the bartender) is VERY knowledgeable and friendly. My wife said it's "cute" so hey if the girls like it and it serves great drinks, I'm a fan. read more

What a gem! I told Patty (the owner) that I felt like I was at a bar in San Francisco. Great vibe, terrific attention to detail and she and her staff know their stuff. Interesting craft cocktails and a wonderful selection of old world wines. You won't go wrong here - Patti is a sommelier and has done an admirable job selecting a variety of interesting wines I haven't seen anywhere else in Reno. She's got a great representation of varietals and wines at varying prices so you can afford to try something new. She's created a unique experience and is very helpful in selecting wines based on your particular palate. We tried the cheese and charcuterie (yum!), the pear/gorgonzola flatbread (to die for!) and the hummus. All tasty and well priced. They can also suggest wines to go with each of their menu items if you like to have fun pairing food and wine to bring out the best in each. Very excited about visiting this place for the first time during happy hour, so here goes: the good: quiet ambience, comfortable couches, helpful bar staff with drink selections. The not so good: very dark, unimpressive happy hour ($1 off beer, $2 off glass of wine, no food discounts at all), understaffed for Friday happy hour, we couldn't more than a couple of visits for refills. Expensive. They need to expand the happy hour menu, it's for two hours, silly to be so tight and the food dishes we received were quite small. I hope this place makes it, but there are SO many choices in South Reno for happy hour, we won't be back. Do not recommend. read more

I honestly wanted to love this place because of the convenient location and ambience. But after the 3rd horrible experience, I will never go back. The owner and bartender are rude and condescending to the patrons. The service is terrible and the drinks are over priced. The owner actually had the nerve to tell a group of my friends, who are business owners and executives, that she was trying to cater to a higher clientele than us, and we were referred to as white trash. We tried this place last night even though it is across town. Boy, it was worth the drive! The decor is awesome! Once inside, you cannot even tell you are in a strip mall but more feels like a high-end bar in Vegas. The drinks were great. I had the blackberry daiquiri and it had all fresh ingredients. I could have drank a pitcher of it! The barteneder was very friendly and was attentive. Another lady who maybe was the manager or owner was walking around to check on people. I had really hoped for a nice friendly cocktail lounge when I moved here a little over a year ago. Josh the Bartender is very skilled and mixology but has virtually no personality. Sally, the owner treats customers like she is doing them a favor. I'm disappointed and will have to look elsewhere for a friendly bar. My last visit here Sally poked her head out of the back and said "How you doing" and then closed the door. I was the only customer in the bar. If they can afford to turn away people like that I wish them well. read more

Went here for the Wednesday night wine tasting. Was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming decor with tables nicely spaced. There is even a nice open area with sofas and chairs conducive to friendly conversation with friends. We tried the wines which were all delicious with the choice to purchase to take home. The artichoke dip was one of the best l have had in the area. This is the perfect spot to wind down and relax with friends after work. Will definitely be going back here again. read more

You know shockingly we have looked at this place before on Nextdoor and weren't too impressed last week we decided to pop in late at night about 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock I do believe the sign on the door said they would close I think was 11 o'clock but the open sign is it open so we went in and asked if they were open and the bartender said yes or we have a few people in here so I'm gonna stay open for a bit place is absolutely lovely very nice design inside and the wine cellar is absolutely beautiful a lot of Italian wines read more

My husband and I love this place. It is one of our go to spots in the evening for a glass of bubbles or a well-made cocktail. Josh is a master at crafting cocktails - always delicious and fun to watch him do his thing. They have really yummy snacks too- good portions at great prices! The interior is NOTHING like the exterior which is a good thing. It really is quite incredible on the inside. The outside is a non-descript part of a strip mall, nothing that makes this location stand out. After hearing about this place for a little while we decided to check it out. I arrived first and took a seat in the comfortable seats. I was stared at by the bartender and waitress but it took forever for someone to ask me if I wanted something to drink. I ordered a draft beer while I watied for the other half of my party. She arrived and ordered a glass of wine. It took some time for it to arrive. We decided we wanted to grab something to eat but weren't given menus, offered menus, asked about food, anything. I went to the bar and asked for and received a menu. After about 10 minutes and nobody coming by, I went to the bar and ordered some food. It arrived later and was mediocre at best. After that it was crickets. My empty glass sat there and nobody came by to ask if I wanted another. An hour and a half, one drink for me, one for my wife, food that we had to search for, and then I had to go ask for my check. I've never experienced such inadequate service. I might give it another shot but not terribly excited to do so. read more
