Lounge at South Meadows. A classy place for friends to enjoy a drink and delicious lounge food! Loved it! Julie A

What a hidden treasure in South Meadows. An upscale Lounge Bar with great food and drinks. Thank you to Josh and Bri for Five Star Customer Service. This is a fantastic place for friends to hang out. The music is so healing and it makes you want to stay for hours. Check out all the great lounge seating and the Wine Wall with seating for 10. This is my new favorite bar/lounge. Small and quaint and you can just hangout and enjoy the atmosphere. My new favorite place. Patty is the Owner and the Chef. What a fabulous place. .Julie A

I hadn't been here in awhile, reason being I wasn't impressed with the service. However, I have a complete change of heart. We had a friend's birthday party and we didn't call them to let them know we had 20 people coming for the celebration. The owners welcomed us with smiles and were happy to make our visit memorable. We ordered food, cocktails and excellent wine ( btw we took some home) thankful for choice selection of Italian wines. The service was excellent and we will visit more often. Thank you!

Well it's been a year since I have visited family in Reno. I was very excited to return to the Lounge for drinks and appetizers. If you read my first review I started off with Josh the bartender being a bit standoffish. But eventually Warmed up to us, same with the owner Patti on the harsh side but then mellowed out. First review I was kind to staff there were several groups in at the time but we were being ignored so I showed them some grace and eventually our experience went smooth. But it definitely was not welcoming I had to work for it but all worked out in the end and we had good conversation, food and drinks. Not so much this time. Today my sister in law and I walked in. There was one table of maybe 5 people and a few singles. Not busy at all. We sat at the bar and had to wait a bit. I thought I recognized the owner and as she walked by me I said hi are you the owner and she replied in a harsh tone YES And continued on her way. The bartender finally came to us and we ordered. I told him we had been here one year ago and that he had made me a particular type of drink. It was Clear He had no interest in having a conversation or Connection with me. The feeling we both got was that we were not appreciated as patrons at all. The bartender even sat next to another customer at the end of the bar because it was so slow and I had to ask him for another drink as opposed to him seeing we needed one. We were the only four at the bar. So here is the deal. There are countless cocktail lounges in Reno. If you are an establishment that does not care if I'm there or not then I will go somewhere else. I'm not asking you to kiss my but I don't want the atmosphere to be tense and feel like I'm a bother. The owner Pattie did not even take the time to check In With us especially after I Asked if she was the owner. Not even a hey lady I'm Busy and don't have time for you. Check my reviews and you will see I Am very fair. We won't be returning to the Lounge. A very disappointing experience today. I gave Two stars because the cocktails were good. Edit: Pattie, the owner, reached out to me via DM. I understand Hospitality is a demanding and difficult business. Mishaps and misunderstandings are going to happen, it's the nature of the beast, but it's how you respond to those matters that will tell the tale. If you read my reviews you will see that I do revisit and review accordingly based on responses I have received from owners and management. I appreciate Patti reaching out to me and I look forward to giving it another go my next visit to Reno.

I am not even sure how this place has a 4 stars. My husband and I stopped here on our way home from our anniversary night since it was close to home, and man, was this place entertaining. When we first walked in, I was punched in the face with very strong-smelling essential oils... interesting but fine, better than musty or dirty smell, but definitely overkill. We didn't notice a sign on a set of seats that said it was reserved, and a gentleman at the bar turned around and said it was reserved for his family... ok fine, no big deal. We moved, and after an hour and a half, no family showed up, and there was only 30 min left before closing.... The bartender was friendly but had to deliver a bottle of champagne to a couple that were on a date per the request of the same gentleman at the bar. Pretty sure it was made for just the lady since she came back into the bar by herself after leaving with her date. Awkward but entertaining to watch. The decor seems very "spa" like but the music is loud and there are sports on all the TVs. It just feels like they don't really know what they want to be so they are covering it all. Its for sure unique and if there is literally nowhere else to have a drink in south reno you are fine.

" That was amazing , everything I had hoped for for my birthday " Yep that's what my wife told me after we had a small get together at the lounge.. Josh had the drinks coming as fast as we needed them, He was on his game.. Patty had the food coming out just right. Her suggestions with the menu were perfect. My wife wanted a get together at our house and I said no, this was so so much better. The decor and the neighborhood lounge feel was just perfect. No problems with parking or clean up. EASY ... Truly, a hidden jewel ..

Wow! What a wonderful find in our area. Located over in the same plaza as Smith's in the corner. From the outside you'd think it might be a dive bar, but you would be sorely mistaken. They have some high top table areas, seating area for 10 in a wine room, a bunch of couch seating areas, and lots of seats at the bar. Open the door and get ready to enjoy drinks and food. They have a fantastic menu of appetizers plus flatbreads and sandwiches. The drink menu is just as impressive with mixed drinks, beer, and a fantastic wine menu. Bonus, they have two in-house sommeliers that will not steer you wrong. I will definitely go back to this place many times. I'm looking forward to bringing others here to enjoy this great gem.

I had amazing time here at lounge. I love the atmosphere very cozy and warm. It is not really crazily noisy and packed. Everything was really nice. I definitely go back to this place for drinks!!

Visited Lounge on Wed evening for their wine special of free tasting of two wines which were quite good and well presented by the bar keeper ( whose name I failed to get). As usual, staff is always friendly and knowledgeable on wines etc. last night we had a great time sipping wine, playing a board game and nibbling on the delicious deviled eggs they make. I haven't been in there for awhile snd it was nice to see w/Covid they had a good turnout and well spaced! Great job, and hope to return soon!

The lighting fixtures were fun and unique. There were tvs everywhere. Of course one was tuned to atmosphere and some bar trivia was playing. We started off dinner with some fried wontons. They were flavorful and cooked well. We ordered the French onion soup and the chef's burger with fries. The soup said on the menu it came with homemade croutons but instead it came with generic saltine crackers. Also it was made with red onion instead of yellow onion which was a ... choice. The burger, however, was perfect. The flavors were good, it was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. Our waitress was great. We absolutely loved her. Even though she was the only waitress there she was on her game. She was honest and professional and really had a great personality. Food came out in a timely fashion. The cocktails were delicious. The restaurant was clean and well taken care of. Overall we enjoyed our time here and if we happen to be passing through again we would stop here.

So, after dinner he wanted to take me to this fancy Fireside Lounge for drinks after dinner. It was hella hard to find, but we did finally. It's near the Italian place called Romanza. It's supposed to be like the old school fireplace lounges the Peppermill restaurants used to have. I don't think there's any Peppermill restaurants around anymore, just this casino. My friend told me all locals get 20% off at any of the restaurants, so that's kinds cool. Inside this lounge, it's really on the dark side and there's lots of soft puffy couches and love seats. If you wanted a dark booth to make out in, this is the place! There's nice seating around the gas fireplace if you want, but those seats go fast on busy nights. I thought the music was kinda loud, but that might just be me. I don't think there's much food served in here, just fancy drinks before the making out starts! The decor, the entertainment, the products all struck a chord with me. On one side - a super cute pour over/loose leaf tea shop with some records for sale. On the other - a cute bar and lounge area equipped with a vinyl player (Bring one in on a Monday for them to play). You have some house pants, checkered floors, and cool vinyl covers all over the walls that make for some great & hip atmosphere and vibes. Their restrooms, though small, and clean and cool. Their pour overs are so flavorful, strong, and made with beans grounded on your visit. I love that they're flavored and sweetened in a way that allows the coffee to shine. If you're into sweeter drinks, ask for a bit more sweetner or add in a brown raw sugar packet yourself from the straw station. I hear their chocolate pour over is a hit. Matchas - prepared in a similar fashion. Slightly sweetned with subtle flavorings. I tried their carrot cake matcha today and really enjoyed the housemade syrup they used to flavor it with. I also love that they offer loose leaf teas. Their chai was nice, fragrant and great with a little sweetner and milk. Shelby over at the bar area was sooo patient with explaining their menu and suggested a isla bonita pineapple shrub drink for a non alcoholic option. Similar to their other drinks on the coffee side, it was tamed in sugar yet still fun and flavorful. I really enjoyed the tang from the apple cider and the spice from the tajin chili powder as a contrasting flavor. Double check their website for bar and coffee shop hours as they differ from one another. And follow them on Instagram for updates on seasonal specials & themed gatherings. A lot of cool local DJs spin here for special events and parties during the holidays. Tip: sit next to the pour over station next to the menu. It's so entertaining, especially with Sydney working the station (thanks so much for the chat and entertainment. Honestly one of the friendliest baristas I've ever met in Reno). Both bars are set up in a way that allows for meeting others and socializing. Check it out. It's a good time. Notes *Catch live jazz music on Wednesdays here for free. *free street & neighborhood parking *bagels & cream cheese available at the coffee shop *they have fun with their seasonal drink specials.
