The whole salon felt dirty, nothing was wiped down, the cuticle cutter used on me had somebody's else's old cuticles STILL IN IT. It was loud and way too busy in there and everything was so rushed. Made an appointment early in the morning for a 2:30pm mani and pedi. I walked in at 2:35 pm and the man at the front was incredibly rude and laughed at me when I said my appointment was at 2:30. I'm in from out of town and went here because the reviews were decent. The place was not clean at all and the staff was incredibly rude. When I saw the state of the place I decided to just get a polish change instead of a full manicure. One of my nails bumped against the gel setting light and my technician literally yelled at me, then started whispering things under her breath. To top it all off I came in with a picture, she told me she could the exact color in the picture and my nails looked nothing like what I wanted. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

A family owned and operated salon that changed ownership about 5 months ago, everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The most basic spa pedicure was very through and they did a great job on the manicures as well. Prices seemed reasonable - $85 pre tip for two regular spa pedicures ($25 each), one gel manicure ($25) and a regular manicure ($10). Would return next time we're in the area! read more

I would highly recommend and their prices aren't too bad either. All in all, a win win for the customer. Mediocre gel nails here. After they cut and filed my nails, I noticed the nails on my left hand were much shorter than the nails on my right. I pointed it out and asked them her to cut and refile the right side to make them even. The length was then more even but she didn't do a good job filing so my nails were jagged in places. They also went too heavy with the top coat so it actually glued the side of my nail to my finger. Price is cheap and I like the color but would not return. read more

Very disappointed. The tips of my nails were left uneven. I specially asked that proper and good nail prep be done. That's a basic thing that should always occur with a manicure of any kind. This is the first place where I've had that problem. Came home and had to file my nails even, which is not okay right after just having a fresh manicure. Great services. This place was so busy when I visited and I probably had to wait for 10 or 15 minutes, but it was so quick and efficient once they started their work. I forgot to ask her name, but she was very friendly and good at what she did. $35 (before tips) for basic manicure AND pedicure, which I thought was a great deal. They even give you a little massage on your lower legs and arms. If you get a pedicure, you get to use the massage chair the whole time which is another plus. I will definitely come back. read more

I do not recommend this salon. My daughter ended up with a cuticle infection within hours of leaving there. She needed to get antibiotics and may need to have it drained . The man doing her nails ripped the cuticle. No hot water for pedicure but I guess it was a busy day. Would never go here again. read more

They're the absolute best nail salon in boulder. Tony and howie are extremely personable and welcoming. Before I went to lotus nails, I hated having acrylics because I always had nails falling off but no more with lotus nails. They put effort into each appointment and ensure that the nails are done correctly. Since I've been going to louts nails I have never had a nail fall off - even when I'm busy have gone over the average time before a fill. They last forever because they're such good quality and the staff at lotus are extremely skilled. They also have a punch card so after so many visits you get 10$ off. I made an appointment and they kept me waiting more than 10 minutes. The facility was dirty, there was virtually no customer service, there were delivery boxes stacked up around the salon, there were pallets of water, but I was never offered any of the bottled water, no one even said hello until I had been there for 30 minutes and it was not my technician. I shared that I had an appointment at work and to her credit the technician did get me out in time. However, she never engaged in in any type of conversation. She did smile at me once or twice. The technician was disorganized with her equipment saying that she was not working at her station (someone had lingered at her station to pay) and she stopped working on my nails multiple times to speak with another employee. I felt the need to use the hand sanitizer before I left. Really disappointing. Can't understand the higher ratings, particularly because the technician burned my nail with the drill (got too hot because she stayed in one place too long) and I shared that my nails didn't feel smooth enough before she applied polish. In response, she tried to up sell me on adding a gel coat (much more expensive) for the third time even though I had been clear the two prior times that I was not interested. My friend and I have been coming here for a few months, we thought we were getting "Dip Powder" and every time we have gone either my nails would chip or hers would chip we never understood why they were chipping when dip powder was suppose to last longer . Our nails would not even last 2 weeks with no chips , we had to make several trips to get our chipped nails fixed . Come to find out we were getting charged for dip powder when in reality we were get dip powder with shellac over the powder we thought that was the right technique . We decided to try out a new nail salon when they then told us the whole time we were getting dip powder with shellac over it the whole purpose of the dip powder is that way you have no chemicals put on your nails with the UV light . We really liked the place until we decide to go else where do to the fact of chipping nails and no dislike the place because we didn't get the service we asked for ! read more

If I could give this place less than one star I would. This was the worst pedicure experience of my life. I went in with my mom. We were told that we should pick our color and sit down and they would be right with us. I sat down, got comfy, and turned on my massage chair. My mom, sitting next to me in her massage chair tried to turn it on. It was broken. Someone came and pulled my feet out of the water and hurriedly pushed back the cuticles on my right foot and then shoved my foot back into the water and then she went to finish a manicure on some other lady. I sat with my feet in the water and watched my mom start to get her pedicure. TWENTY MINUTES LATER...the lady comes back and rushes through the rest of my pedicure. No massage. No base coat. And then all of a sudden I was done. Maybe ten minuets later. As my mom is half way through her pedicure. Then they ask me to move. Mess up my polish and as they are putting my moms shoes on they mess hers up too. Not to mention they flooded the foot basin and my moms purse with it. I will never be going back.
