They are great. Got what I wanted from Ivy . I would definitely recommend them. It's hard finding good nail techs that don't just rush.

My friend and I have been here a few times. Fawn was wonderful, but she's no longer there.. The last few times we have been have not been good at all! I came home today with bruises up my legs. I hadn't been to this salon in years due to my favorite nail tech leaving. I decided to give them another chance and it was a mistake. I had a re base done which was rushed and started lifting the same day. There was also a bunch of nails left super uneven and I was told it was because I got them done so short and something about my natural nails. I went in to have them fixed and ended up having to pay for a new set. I did get a discount but I don't think I'll be back to this location. read more

This more of a story than a review but it speaks volumes about the people of Contempo Nails. My cousin has been a client but due to Hospice care she can no longer visit the shop. That's Ok because the staff at Contempo visited her today and did her nails....in bed! This was so important to her and this incredible act of kindness has touched so many people. As the news of this spread today I cannot tell you how many people have been in disbelief or have said it restores their faith in humanity. Our family would have paid anything just to have our loved one pampered just a little and give her comfort. The family that owns this business covered the cost with no fanfare or recognition. I've only been here twice, but both times I was very impressed. I get acrylic nails so I went to Tanya both times (who I believe is the owner). One time I booked online, another time I called. The first time she was right on time, the second time she was 10 or so minutes late (not a big deal and expected). Tonya is always very welcoming, very accommodating, and is very easy to explain to when you have a more thorough nail request. Both times I got acrylic nails. The first time, I got stiletto-shaped nails in a solid nude color. She didn't have a nude gel, just shellac paint to go over the regular gel color. I prefer gel vs. shellac, I think shellac sometimes looks cheap. BUT the color ended up looking great, I wasn't a huge fan of the shape (it was my first time trying it) but she did it exactly like I showed her since it was a mix between stiletto and almond. The second time, I had her take my full set off and put on a new set and I got longer coffin nails, ombre pink & white. They look perfect and I'm so happy with them. Her attention to detail is wonderful and I'm very happy with Tonya's work. Both sets have lasted 3-4 weeks in between fills with no lifting or yellowing. The shop is bright & they always greet you when you come in. One negative is you can't tip on your credit card and I never carry cash. They also only have a few techs so the times I've gone in, they haven't been able to take walk-ins right away. That isn't a problem for me, I always make appointments. I've been to two other nail salons in Longmont and I've had acrylics on for 10+ years. I'm happy with Contempo and plan to keep going back to see Tonya. read more

The worst nail experience I have ever had! Booked mani-pedi's for my daughter and myself. Thinking we would be side by side. They took her to nail station, while I proceeded to get a pedicure. When it was her turn for a pedi she took one look at the MAYBE 15 year old boy who was setting up and was like "No Way!". In addition, my nail lady touched my toe nail to see if it was dry and totally screwed up my toe nail job, which I did not realize until we got home. I gave them a minimal tip (after they over charged me $5) for the poor service and they had the nerve to look at each other and talk Thai (which they did the entire visit)! I do not recommend and will NOT be going back. If I could give -Zero- stars I would. Sorry Contempo nails, do better. read more

I hate giving low reviews, I really do. Here's the thing though... I made an appointment on the phone. Waited over 20 minutes for them to start. It was so completely rushed. I had to tell the nail technician to fix/straighten my nails. She was on the phone while doing my nails. I'm not impressed with their service at all. They didn't even give me the usual hand massage. They should have told me there was going to be a wait when I called. If the technician had taken her time I think my nails would look amazing. Im trying to say this in the most positive way possible because they were all very nice but had too much going on. I do like that my nails aren't thick. They did a wonderful job with that. I was going to have my brows done but decided to go somewhere else. I don't want a distracted person waxing my brows. read more

First, this is the 3rd nail salon I have visited since the corona quarantine allowed businesses to reopen. This salon is by far the most clean and compliant with the COVID rules. Great price for a fantastic pedicure - massage chairs as well. I will be back to try a gel manicure for sure. read more

Very poor experience. I had an appointment at 2:30 and didn't attend me till 3:25. Which I wasn't very bothered about but once I got with the employee I asked the prices of two set of nails and they told me the prices and I told them I wanted exactly like the picture and length and she was completely fine with it and told me the price. The nail lady got mad at me because I didn't really like the design she did, you could've seen my real nail under the design. She did it very messy which I'm not bothered but before she went on I told her kindly and she just painted another coat of nail polish over it and all the nails even when I asked them I wanted powder acrylic nails and she already did white powder on the other nails. Once we got to the register she wanted to charge me for the design which I didn't even have on. Then the "manager" said it's that price because of the length of my nails but in reality she told me that length and single color would be certain amount. They were just making things up to over charge me. But I didn't want to argue anymore so I just payed what they wanted. I just please ask to please teach your employees what the prices are and to start making it feel comfortable to ask before how much would the nails be charged because they tend to change prices when they are doing your nails for unnecessary things that don't match up and tend to make a face. I am very disappointed with my experience. I never critique places but I needed to be heard out. read more

I made my appointment at 2pm, got there on time waited until 2:15, still no one seems close to be done,l. It looks like everyone just get started with their service and it'll be a long wait. No one checked with me within that 15 mins. Just a heads up if no one is available, then be honest with your customers and don't tell them to come at that time. It is in the middle of a working Tuesday, maybe we can both respect each other's time. read more

The absolute worst nail experience ever. The older woman doing my nails was rude, did not communicate with me, literally ripped the towel out from under my feet without even asking or gesturing to lift them. This same woman screamed at the other employees several times, got up and walked away from pedicure at least 10 times and refused to paint a second coat of a light purple polish on my toes... after I paid for the step up pedicure, not even the base ask. She would not use toe separators, when she was done threw her gloves in the basin and walked away. Someone else came over, out my shoes on and gestured me to pay... my nails are still wet. I asked of I could dry a second and she continued to gesture me to the register and out the door. This happened 5 minutes ago, my pedicure is still wet and now chipped as I write this from my car. Save yourself the money and avoid going to Contempo. read more

This is without question the worst nail salon I have ever been to. Not only was it much more expensive than most other nail salons, but I left the salon bleeding and in pain with incredibly short toenails and two ingrown. The paint job was sloppy, and two days later I am still in pain. I've been to this nail salon a couple of times, and every single time I do, I walk away disappointed. The pedicure I had today was very nice, but the acrylic rebase I had was the absolute worst. I've had the same lady do my rebase a couple of times, and every time she does it she cuts me with the tools. I left the establishment bleeding from two fingers near my cuticle area, a repeat of the time before. I would be surprised if I came back, simply because getting your nails done should not be painful. read more

I went with my mom and two sisters. My mom loves her nails and my younger sister loves hers, but upon closer examination, my older sister and me are not fans. First they used the wrong color on both the manicure and pedicure and nails were spotty on complete coverage for my sister. For me, they didn't clip my nails to the preferred length, they didn't buff my fingernails enough so they are bumpy, and again there is not complete coverage on my nails. Basically, it all depends on who you are working with. read more
