I desperately needed a manicure and my gal recommended Gellee so it's just removed with a file and not so damaging to the nails. It cost $50 (plus tip) for the 'polish' but there was no shaping, soaking or trimming of cuticles. no lotion or massage applied. The jagged edges I went in with were what l left out the door with. the color was pretty and last about 6 days before it chipped. I won't be going back. Went over to Q Nails and for $37 got the same product and the FULL SERVICE! read more

I went in for a pedicures, having been here many times before. My teen daughter was here a few weeks ago, and they were extremely rude to her when we were there. Today, while getting a pedi, the [older lady (short hair)], was cutting my nails, pulling "gunk" in between them. When on the pinkie toe, she pulled the ENTIRE TOENAIL OFF! She acted very naunchalant, saying "Oh, your nail came off". Needless to say, I was shocked! Then she went to paint polish on top! I pulled my foot away. Stupidly, I letter finish painting the others. I tried to get up and she wouldn't let me. I argued, saying I was leaving and my toe was burning, the she put a plastic bag on it. I told her I was not paying and she said I had to, then saying if I was unhappy I didn't have to. She kept saying over and over that it wasn't her fault and my nail just "fell" off. I was about to leave and her boss came over saying to give her at least $20. I was so pissed, my toe still burning, and just wanting to leave, I threw a $20 bill on the counter, wearing only one shoe and a plastic bag and sock on the other. Previous reviews don't do this place justice! This salon is so CLEAN and gorgeous! Excellent location and safe parking. I was a walk-in today and they immediately greeted me so sweetly. They showed me the colors available (which is by far the easiest display to choose from) and were able to have me in and out in an hour and fifteen mins after a full gel pedi and dip/gel mani. I have been searching high and low all over Longmont for a great salon and THIS IS IT! The pricing is reasonable: full manicure with dip and gel - $50 exfoliating pedicure with gel polish - $55 I have had many manicures at different salons over the last 20 years....This is by far the best manicure I have had EVER. My nail tech was meticulous and careful with my sore cuticles and I am so pleased with their techniques. She recommended the most beautiful combination for my nail color with sparkles and I KID YOU NOT its exactly what I had in mind that other nail salons couldn't recreate from pictures. I was greeted kindly and cordially when I entered and the lady, Julie, who greeted me checked to make sure if there was availability for my walk-in request of a gel mani/pedi. Thankfully there was! When I struggled to find the right color she helped me by checking some colors out on my nails. She did chat with me initially but I was not very chatty today (introvert things) so she let me be and did a fantastic job. I requested extra work to soften my feet and callouses which was a slight up charge that she explained clearly and the price was very reasonable. My grandma step daughter and I went in all for nails. it was almost $200 for 3 simple gel full sets. My nails are all kinds of weird shapes, then they ended up charging my grandma twice for $192. My entire bridal party went here for manicures and pedicures the day before my wedding. It's a typical nail place in the "if we speak English at all it's heavily accented" fashion. There area few girls here though that do AMAZING jobs. I hate artificial nails...they're always too thick or too long or too ...ick. But with several recently broken nails the girls (bridesmaids) talked me into getting tips. I'm thoroughly glad I did. Not only were they super thin, they were light enough that I didn't suddenly feel like I couldn't function (write, type, open a can of soda, etc). When I have to get fake nails...this is the only place I'll go. On the pedicure side of things: A-...just because the nail art chipped off quick (I think the lines were too thick/heavy). But the nails? Lasted well past my honeymoon...which included scuba diving, beach combing, swimming with dolphins, hiking mayan ruins...I feel it's pretty safe to say they'd stand up well in "normal" life, too! read more

Recently moved here and was looking for a new nail place. The pedicure was probably the worst I've ever had - I think it lasted all of maybe 10-15 minutes and was basically a lukewarm water bath and polish. I also didn't like that they didn't have the disposable insert in the tub. I got a gel manicure and was happy to see that the woman took her time and did a great job. My only complaint is that right at a week I already had 2 chips, and I'm used to getting a full 2-3 weeks without any chipping. Unsure whether I would return for a manicure, but would definitely not recommend a pedicure. read more

I went in for a shellac manicure on a Friday. By Saturday morning the clear coat had peeled off one of my nails. I went in and they fixed it for me and were fairly nice about it. By Sunday the clear coat had peeled off another four nails. Since they were closed, I went in Monday and let them know (nicely) and they begrudgingly fixed it for me (all the while, speaking in their native language to each other and giving me some "looks"). Its been one week and the polish is chipping off (a shellac should last at least two weeks!) Anyway.... I will not be going back to this nail salon. read more

This is a salon I have visited on and off for a very long time. Maybe even 10 years? When I first started going I was a 16 year old girl looking for some pretty colored acrylic nails. Since then I have gotten mani pedis, gel polish, nail take offs ect. Basically I have gotten a ton done here. Today I went in for dip powder nails. Literally 20 minutes before I went in I broke my natural nail. I was mortified because I really like my nails to all be pretty close in length. I taped it not really knowing what they would be able to do. The tech who took care of me did such a good job. She cut my broken nail to make it even and put a tip on under the dip powder to make them all look the same length until my real nail grows back out. I am so stinking happy with these nails! I have been trying to grow my nails out for months and I think this will finally be the product that makes it happen. read more

1st time here! The good: They are nice, the place is clean, they have lots of GEL colors available that look new. They are super attentive, gentle, and really shave down your heel to get it as smooth as possible. NO CUTS OR NICKS, Woot Woot! They even use this small like sander machine to get that heel smooth, it burned for a second but goes away super fast and now my heel is smoother than ever before. They also massage you a bit, and finish off with a hot towel. The NOT so good: coming from Florida where salons are ever corner and they have up-scale salons for the same price here. This place does not use liners for their feet soakers. They do not open new tools. And their regular nail polish is horrible. No essie nail polish brands, or not that many top brands like OPI. If you're not getting shellac or gel, your choices are the old looking polishes they have left. I opened some and they were sticky and need to be thrown out. FINAL THOUGHTS: Even though I wasn't completely satisfied with the regular polish color selections, and not a fan of tools they use on multiple people. I will probably come back for GEL ONLY, and to try maybe they're deluxe pedis. read more

the women who work here do good work, especially manicures, but they are not very friendly on the phone or in person. they don't acknowledge you when you walk in and aren't pleasant to talk to during your service. they also don't take appointments for eyebrows, which is really frustrating. they also seem to be more expensive than anyone else in town and their prices aren't consistent. read more

By far the most uncomfortable experience I've had in a while I usually go to another technician but found it more convenient going to someone closer to my neighborhood the lady kept on cutting into my cuticle and nail groove saw that I was bleeding in 6 of my fingers cleaned it off with alcohol and kept going didn't bother asking if I was okay and kept talking to her coworkers and laughing I asked if she could stop using the nail drill and completely ignored my request I've never had sore fingernails and they have never been red swollen or bloody.. the shape of the nail and color process were overall decent but I don't recommend fossil nails for anyone looking for a pain free experience read more

I have been going here for 5 to 6 years, off and on. I don't tend to go super regularly, but I go in between 6 and 12 times a year, I don't get artificial nails very often (maybe once a year), mostly I get Spa Pedicures and Shellac/ Gel Manicures. I have had my nails done by just about every single person that works there. I recommend making an appointment if you need to be in and out at a certain time, but as a walk-in, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. I have always walked out with nice looking nails! Has every experience been perfect? No, but everyone there is always nice to me and does their best. Some of the ladies are more experienced than others & I have occasionally walked out, with a manicure with a little bubble or a flower on my toenail (that wasn't exactly what I had imagined in my head), but if I have ever been unhappy they have always offered to fix it and have never had any attitude about it. This place is close to my house, clean, convenient, reasonably priced, and everyone who has done my pedicures and manicures has been very nice and efficient! I don't have any complaints and would recommend Fossil Nails to anyone! read more

Long review: overall had a terrible new set of acrylics, went back to fix it and the owner was horrid. If I could give this salon 0 stars I would. I went in to get pink and white acrylics done, the girl doing them needed constant reminding of what I wanted. After I left I had a good look at them and they were terrible. they had bumps all over them, you could see through the pink powder which looked terrible and they were completely flat and on one of my hands, all of the nails were shorter than the other side. I went back the next day to ask if they could just redo the shaping, the owner scoffed at me and said that's what they are supposed to look like and if "I insist" I could come back another time to get them done because she "will not see me right now". I did not go back, instead I went to Allure in Longmont who did a beautiful job, when I sat down she even looked at me and asked if I had done them myself they looked so bad! read more

Alright... I always hate writing a bad review but I really am disappointed in my nails. I got a gel mani and the woman who did my nails was great, and very attentive, but unfortunately, my manicure wasn't the best. I did notice some messy spots the day I got my nails done, but I didn't say anything because overall, the job was okay. Well... my nails literally started chipping three days after I got them done and this picture is them after just one week. It's really disappointing paying for something that doesn't even last a week. Also, as a side note, I came in with my boyfriend and he was also upset about his pedicure that he got. I've been to places for a pedi before and at every place, my toenails are either filed or clipped. His lady did not ask him any of that - and as this was his first pedi - he didn't really know what to expect. End result? His toenails were not cut and so he went home and did it himself. Wow I was blown away by how this made my entire week! I got shellac delux Mani and a delux pedi! There are about 7 different types of pedicures, I have never had OPTIONS!! I suggest champagne and roses pedi!! She took her time on me (which is the whole purpose for relaxing) my nail art was super cute and my French tips were beyond perfection!! 2.5 hours of a time to never forget! Massage chairs actually felt awesome and she never worked on another customer in between me. She did everything I asked such as making my water warmer and kept up with my changing mind with a smile on her face! I was so pampered she earned herself a 25% tip! I was here for a gel manicure. The first tech working on me was very nice. The only thing is that she cut one of my cuticles so it bled and was painful. It continued to bleed and the woman that came over to paint my nails acted as if she were annoyed by the fact that it was still bleeding and sprayed alcohol on it, then glued it closed. Not exactly what I was expecting. She was very unfriendly and got mad when I asked her to alter the shape a bit. The finished product was not great, especially for $25. I could have done without the attitude and rudeness when asking for simple things like removing the paint on the skin around my nails. I wont go back. read more

*Long Review* OVERALL: Never was helped and bad customer service! I work in DTC and just moved to Longmont. I found this place near my home and saw they closed at 7. I was able to leave work early so I can get to the salon before 6 (didn't want to be that jerk that shows up at the last minute and asks for a difficult rebase). I was spoken to exactly TWO times in the 45 minutes I sat there. The first time was when I walked in and she asked what I needed. I told her that I needed my nails to be dipped. I signed in, picked my color, and sat down. There was one gal in the lobby when I came in and 4 people came in after me (with the latest walking in at 6:30). All 5 people were helped... except for me. After about 15 minutes of waiting, the main gal, who spoke rudely to everyone in the salon including her own employees, said "you need to soak nails?". I told her they were previously dipped, so yes. She said nothing else to me the rest of the time. Once the 5th person was brought back, I put my color back and walked out of the salon. I was there from 5:50 pm - 6:35 pm and was never helped or told the typical "wait is only 5 more minutes, etc." After a bit of waiting, the thought crossed my mind that maybe it was by appointment only. I glanced at their front door, and in big, bold letters it says "WALK IN'S WELCOME", so there's that... I suppose if you do have an appointment, you'll have no issue. But I still wouldn't expect to be treated nicely. read more
