I was so dissapointed. I got a regular mani-pedi. ALL of the nail polish came off in less then 24 hours. Never mind the horrible service. Not being helped from manicure station to pedicure chair, treated like a nuisance and being told that my natural nails looked awful. Listening to all the techs talk crap about the customers was gross It should be called "No Star Nails" read more

My 90 year old mother was given two gift certificates (no expiration date) here in Oct 2024, for a $60 pedicure & $25 manicure. She was sick at the time, then my father passed away & time got away from her. However, she was wanting to take herself,, her granddaughter and me to get pedicures this weekend, knowing that she would be spending at least $140 over the gift cards, and of course tips. We were told that they changed ownership in 11/24 & that they were only good for 1 year (false, as when they were purchased the expiration date was marked through - see pics, none were written). She refused to honor the certificates as "they didn't make any money on them." In fact, she hung up on me. Yes, I fully admit I was frustrated, but she wanted NOTHING to do with this and to talking this through. She told me I could call the old owner, lol...not sure why. I asked to speak to the manager/owner & it was her. I have grown up in customer service & am a 2nd generation retail store family and no matter what, you do not hang up on customers or fail to offer any type of compensation. She could have easily made two customers but chose not to. Very disappointing. And by the way, when we purchased the gift certificates I did so because not only was their name 5 Star Nails, but they also had 5 stars! Unfortunately, doesn't look like that has continued. I wish them well, but I really hope they can learn from this interaction/review as how to treat customers & grow their business. I never write negative reviews, as I understand dealing with the public. But this just went above & beyond. read more

Editing my review due to an issue thats happening year and a half later - I still have not been in that salon since 2024 due to Grace's inability to remain professional. Last night, (4/23/26) i got a notification that the OWNER of this salon edited their comment to this review. I called this morning (4/24/26) to speak with the new owner because I knew Paul was no longer the owner. Another man answered and said he co-owed the shop with (SHOCKER) Grace. So, Im assuming Grace edited the review to say I was lying about what happened. However, Grace, unbenownced to you, I have video of what happened, and I have pictures from 2024. :) not only that, but the man who answered the phone today admitted that Grace would have had to be the one to change the comment on this review and he admitted neither he nor Graced owned the shop is 2024 when I originally reviewed. The conversation was recorded, I will be posting pictures, videos and the recording on social media and reporting the changed comment to Google. Dont go here. Theyre terrible and will lie. Original review from 2024 - I've been going here for a year now. I won't be back!! I don't recommend this salon. Grace over charged me for my pedicure. She left out service that were included in my deluxe pedicure. She cut me and made my toes bleed. When she did my fill, she said I couldn't have acrylic powder and I can only do gel because it would look bad, it would be too thick, it would take too much time. My nails are not smooth. They're bumpy and uneven. I left there with acrylic and polish all over my skin. My nails have already started lifting in the back. I cried sitting in the salon and she did nothing to correct her mistakes. Absolutely disappointed. This was my birthday set for my 30th birthday and I hate them. I will NEVER come back. read more

They got me in quickly, and did an amazing job on my nails. The girl who did my nails was super nice and welcoming! The salon was very clean and I would definitely go again! read more

I have been to this salon about 5 times. The last service with Lan was the best. She took her time and was very meticulous. I do dip on my nails and what I really like about the way she did it is that it isn't too thick. They look very natural. I will be sure to request her from now on. read more

Not only are they professional, cleanly, and kind but you will leave here with the best nails you've had. My mom and I only go here now and truly suggest you stop by! read more

I went here to get acrylic tips. The technician was rude and condescending, they are crooked and messy. it's only been four days and they are coming off. I woke up this morning and one of them had cracked and broken off in my sleep. That has never happened to me before. I would not recommend this at all read more

My first time here, and I had a five star experience! Jennifer did an amazing pedicure and Paul was awesome doing my fill for my acrylics! Highly recommend! They were very kind and interactive, which was very nice. I will definitely be going back read more

They are the best. I've tried so many of the nail salon's around Longmont. This family run business really cares about great customer service. Also, when you have an appointment, it actually means something. I've almost never had to wait more than 5 minutes when I've had an appointment scheduled. Their staff are talented and lovely. They have great pride in their work and there hasn't been a style of nails that they haven't been able to do. Highly recommend! read more

Five star nails is the best nail place I've ever been to! I always see John. He is incredible. I absolutely love what he does with my nails and he does exactly what I ask and he makes them look even better than I could have imagined . I used to drive from Longmont all the way down to Lakewood, because that was the best nail place but one weekend when I couldn't go down there, I gave five star nails a shot, and I've been with them ever since. If you ever want fantastic nails at a great price and terrific service and a fun environment, I recommend Five Star Nails. I always go to John to do my nails! read more

Paul is awesome, my wife and I have been coming here for almost 3 years and absolutely love it. They are always accommodating and very professional. Every time we go In ,we get personal service that you are not going to find anywhere else. I highly recommend giving this place a try. You will not be disappointed. You also get personal service with a greeting my name at the door and always a smile. read more

They might have great services but I wouldn't know. They seem to treat appointments like you are a walk-in anyway. So I wouldn't bother reserving. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time. I had a special occasion otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I got to the point where I could wait no longer and left. Please don't take appointments if you don't intend to honor them. Just tell people it's first come, first serve. Really disappointing. read more

Major communication issues. I went with my sister for a relaxing mani-pedi spa day. It ended up, being anything but relaxing. Despite my trying to tell the one and only person who understood English that I believed my tech (who did not speak English) had selected the wrong nail polish color, I was assured she had. I believed him, as I am new to gel polishes. I figured there must be a chemical reaction with the UV light which changed colors. After the second coat, I realized the polish was not the color I had selected. The color was appalling in a disco ball-type way...With great difficulty, I was able to show the sheer polish albeit with sparkles, I had originally selected. It was applied as a topcoat. Despite my dissatisfaction, no attempts were made to make things right and I was charged the full $70. Additionally, I have concerns about possible nail damage since several times during the manicure, I had to jerk my hand away due to the pain and intense heat of the dremmel. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

I think I have found my NEW NAIL SALON! I just moved here from NJ and was so worried about finding a great place for nails. I'm sad to say that this was one of the worst nail experiences I've had. I was excited because I stopped in on an afternoon, and they weren't overly busy but fairly steady. I was greeted right away and asked what services I wanted. They immediately got me in a chair and started working on getting my last dip manicure off. After sitting for a little bit, the owner brought me over to his station and started getting to work. He was very friendly and was talking to me and it felt like he wanted to get to know me. But before I knew it he had already started the dip process. He didn't ask if I wanted to replace my tips or anything and just dove in with the color I wanted. He moved quickly which I wasn't concerned about, when I looked at my nails afterward they were horrible. They're so bubbly and it doesn't look at all natural, and he went completely off of my nail! I have hard, cured dip all over my fingers and my nails are almost uncomfortable. My husband told me I should go back and have them fix it, but if this is the work of the owner of the salon, I'm not sure that I want to see the work of his employees. Overall, I'm very disappointed and I'll be looking for a different place to go in the very near future to try to get these fixed. read more

After reading on NextDoor about the opening of 5 Star Nails on North Main in Longmont, I decided to give it a try. Paul, the owner, and his wife, Lan, were very welcoming and really did give me 5-star treatment! They are very kind and accommodating, have all new equipment and supplies, and are very careful about complying with covid guidelines so everything is very clean. They provided great service and did a beautiful job for me! Paul and Lan are very courageous to start a new business in the middle of a pandemic. I was happy to support them and would urge anyone to give them a try as well! read more

shitiest place I have ever been to hands down!! took my 2 daughters there to get the nails painted ( ages 3 and 11) it was my 3 year old daughters first time and she was being so big and perfect they were not welcoming at all they didn't even try to communicate with anyone just hand jesters which it stupid how is a 3 year old supposed to know what to do with that? the painting on her came out decent for her tiny nails but my 11 year olds were crrraaaapppp she wanted this easy panda design which was white nails and 5 easy dots (two ear 2 eyes and 1 nose) sooooo easy and he said she was done it was 4 dots that were scattered looking NOTHING like the picture I asked Nicely if he could redue it more like a panda like she wanted he did it again and did the SAME 4 scattered dots so I nicely asked if someone else can try, a girl rudely took over and it again showed ZERO effort looked nothing like the picture and cut her while fileing and DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE!! so I said okay can you just do something different like pretty flowers then?? so again rudely redid it and even the flowers looked like crap so I just went to pay unhappy with everything there and they wanted $45 for that!! I was like what?? everywhere charges no more than 10 for just kid paint and this isn't even good?? I talked to the main guy ( he heard all my concerns ) didn't care and never apologized nor try to fix the issue. so mad 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! not sure how they are open when they can't even do the basics! read more
