Nothing but great things to say about Tina at Station 336. I recently moved to Longmont and needed…read moreto find a great salon somewhere in the county. I'm a bit picky, as most of the other stylists I've tried in Colorado have turned my dishwater blonde hair orange.(Ack!!) I read the reviews of Station 336 and gave them a call - Tina was my stylist. She listened to my concerns and got my hair color and cut absolutely perfect on the first try. Bright and light blonde without a hint of orange! And at a better price than what I had last paid at a posh salon in Boulder (that had turned my hair orange). I'll definitely be a repeat customer here!

ACTIVE SHOOTER IN BOULDER, ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM THE SALON AND THEY CHARGE A 50% CANCELATION POLICY…read more Who does that? Should I risk my life to respect the salon appointment? Seems pretty ridiculous Went to the salon once in December for an overpriced and very poor work with Keratin treatment. NOT WORTH IT. Then went back for a bang trim because I liked the haircut, the staff was nice, hairdressers were nice and skilled. Products and Values are deficient, very disappointed by greed. Needless to say, I will never go back.

The first photo is what I wanted and the others are what I got. I asked for a mushroom brown…read morebalayage, key word BROWN. The photos I showed the stylist are of natural-looking neutral/ashy brown hair but I ended up with streaky silver highlights that look totally unnatural. There were also a couple orangey unblended pieces. This was my first color at Kantor and it is also the first time I've been unhappy with my balayage results. I've always gotten ashy/neutral browns at other salons, so I don't understand why this took twice as long (5 hours) and why I ended up with super light highlights when the prompt was brown. When it was clear there were issues, there was no time to fix it. I had also scheduled a haircut that somehow wasn't entered into the system, and there was no time for that either (although the price I paid included the cut). The stylist offered to fix it two days later and I initially accepted, but cancelled after feeling anxious about entrusting the same person who created the problem with fixing the problem. When I called to cancel and told the receptionist I was unhappy with my color that I was too anxious to go back she said "alrighty then, have a nice day" and that was that. Would have been nice to get the cut I never got refunded, but that at least affirmed my decision to go with my gut and never go back. I am so annoyed that I wasted so much money at Kantor on a color I hated and a cut I never got, but I have learned a valuable lesson. I will never again get my hair done without a prior consultation to make sure we are on the same page, and I will thoroughly research the stylist and salon before putting my hair and money in their hands.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and the first time I left my hair was 6 or 7 inches shorter…read moreeven when I asked for only three inches off. Keep in mind my hair was pretty long before this and I asked to keep it long. I even showed my stylist what I thought three inches looked like on my hair. As for color, I asked to become a more summery brunette with some caramel highlights, lowlights, and subtle money pieces. I showed multiple inspiration pictures of my own hair that I had previously had done, and all I needed was to basically fix my roots and add more dimension. I expressly told her that I did not want to be blonde in the slightest. I don't know how I could have been clearer with what I wanted, but the first time I left, I was basically an ashy blonde with bright, almost white money pieces. Basically she did whatever she wanted to and did not listen to a single one of my wishes. I went back to get it fixed, aka to just get the bright blonde pieces toned down to a more golden and warmer color, and left a dark brunette with hair shorter than I have ever had in my life. The stylist kept telling me that she did not think I needed to get anything fixed and that everyone thought what she had done was beautiful. She seemed reluctant to fix it in the way I asked, and I had to reiterate multiple times that I previously told her I never wanted to be blonde and that is what she had done. The stylist did do the fixing for free, but the original service was $300. I would expect better results for the price point especially after still being unhappy with the end result. I usually never leave poor reviews but I have also never been in this much shock and genuine despair after a hair appointment. Safe to say I never want to come back!
