Most places in Boulder think they can charge $40 to $45 for a simple pedicure and not even work hard at it. I am staying in N Boulder right now so I thought OMG I really need a pedicure. So I just walked in and they took me in a half hour. I had a lovely lady named Holly She was nice and sweet and did a great job. All that and only $27.00 which allowed me to have the $ to give her a great tip that she deserved. I did not put up 5 stars only because there was no leg massage or real feet cleaning up of the hard areas but next time I will just ask her to do that. There will be a next time because this place is nice/CLEAN and a great price. See you all again and no other nail salons anymore. read more

The salon itself is clean, comfortable, and doesn't reek of nail polish remover like some other salons, they also have an awesome selection of colors in regular polish and gel polish. The main reason I continue to come here though is that it is close to my house and the estheticians know me and are super friendly when I come in. I have been going to Iris Nails for about a year now. Sadly, I must report that the quality of service has been steadily declining. My last service, which was a Gel Manicure and a Polish Change for my toes, was so rushed that it was not only poor quality, but an overall uncomfortable experience. I have since taken my business to a place a friend recommended to me, Tiffany Nails. There is no comparison between the professionalism and quality of service. I will not be heading back to Iris Nails anytime soon. read more

I could not disagree more with the other reviews. Iris nails is my go-to pedicure place. They do a good job and the facilities are clean and relaxing. Every time I've been there, they have soap operas on, but that's nothing I haven't experienced at every other nail salon I've visited, and they keep the volume reasonable so it's not a distraction. I have gone there multiple times over the past year or two, and have never been dissatisfied with my experience. read more

Price is right, but the service left a lot to be desired. I was there just under two hours. For a regular pedicure and a gel mani. This service would normally take an hour or less in other salons. I waited for a while for the woman to arrive to start, and then she wasn't very quick. The part that really turned me off is when she answered a personal call while doing my nails and continued to have a very personal and what should have been private conversation for the rest of my long appointment. It took longer because she was sidetracked. If you want to talk on the phone, please do that while you don't have a customer. It was incredibly unprofessional, and mostly, just rude. My toes are a bit messy but the gel is ok. She wanted to file the tips at the end because she didn't do it the right way, and so several ends are scuffed. Very frustrating. I always had a good experience with Iris Nails - until today. I will never go back again. I had a 10:15 pedi appt for my 96-year old mother. We got there at 10:16 and a young girl showed her to her chair and then continued to sort through towels and whatever chores she was doing. It wasn't until 10:30 and I had asked who was doing her nails that she started working on my mother. Not only was she very rude and impersonal she was very rough with my mother even though I told her to be gentle. The other woman there was just as off-hand. I have tried this place numerous times, but their general incompetency astounds me. 1. After warning the lady doing my pedicure about my toe blister, she banged it THREE times while filing because she was busy watching TV. 2. Same lady couldn't polish a whitish/pink color and had to try three times. Finally the owner did it. I was there over 2 hours. 3. Its not very relaxing to have a the owner's toddler grab your wrist for your attention while you're trying to have a pedicure because her parents neglect her all day at the shop. 4. Tried to make an appointment with the owner, but husband who took the appointment neglected to tell her. I walked in, owner was busy with another customer. They didn't seem sorry. 5. The girl I had was quick yet thorough for my pedi and shellac mani. Everyone in the establishment was polite and spoke English to each other for the most part as well. If I ever visit Boulder again I will make a point to go back. Most importantly my busted ass hands and feet feel pretty again and I did not receive an infection. The end product AKA my painted toenails were great. But for me, a spa pedicure is about the journey, not the destination. I went with a good friend. We began at the same time and her experience lasted 30 minutes longer. Mine was quick, rushed, and included a terrible massage. I won't be returning here. I went in on a recommendation from a friend today. I made an appointment last week because they were booked up until Tuesday which, I thought was a good sign. However I was not prepared for the rushed and painful treatment I experienced today. Kathy was abrasive both in mannerism and in her treatment with my rebase. I did not feel like she valued my business. Also the smell of chemicals were quite strong. I will not be returning. read more

Made an appointment for me and two girlfriends over a month ago. I received a phone call one hour before my appointment letting me know it had been moved back 30 minutes because they had made another appointment which wouldn't be done until then. When I said I couldn't move it back, the girl on the phone was rude to me. So I told her I had to cancel it then, because it didn't work. She was even more rude because I was cancelling last minute, after my reservation time was changed! I won't be visiting there anymore. read more

They do a great manicure & pedicure. The gel manicure lasts at least 2 1/2 weeks on me. However the experience is not very great. They hurry you in and out - there is no relaxation or pampering at all - even when they aren't busy. I was in there recently and I was the ONLY customer in the place and I was in and out in less than an hour. Which maybe some people like, but getting a mani and pedi for me should be relaxing and I like to feel a little pampered so I prob won't return. If they are empty, they should give some more personalized attention. read more

I love this place! A friend brought me here about 2 years ago and I was impressed by the staff, the environment and the quality of service as well as the selection. The massage chairs are new and actually give me a great, relaxing massage. I go in for a pedicure and gel manicure every few weeks. It took me awhile to find the perfect person for me (Holly) but once I did, I always request her. I'm not sure why Blair S. didn't like her but she gives me the_best_leg/foot massage I've ever had and she's painstaking about every step in the process. I feel like she cares about the job she's doing - I never feel like she's rushing. The only problem I ever have is choosing what color to pick from because there are so many to choose from! They take walk-ins but I usually call ahead and I never have to wait. read more

Kathy, the owner, was awesome about what happened but the guy who gave me my pedicure was horrible, he clipped my cuticles, causing injury to my toes. I would also have to mention the trashy TV shows were unacceptable, my child was with me and I had to ask to have the TV station changed only when they changed it the next show wasn't any better. read more
