This was my go to place for gel manis and pedis so I've been here 5/6 times. I've had a few different people do my nails and they've all been wonderful--they are super nice and make your nails look great. My last two visits however made me move on. I did a gel mani and the manicure starting peeling not even a week in. I thought, maybe it was due to the humidity in the area I was visiting, because I hadn't experienced this with my gel nails done at Polish before. Then I went back to Polish for a dip mani, after doing a dip elsewhere. The process took 2 hours (not sure if this is normal, but it could be due to my original set being down elsewhere). My nails came out gorgeous and I loved them. The tech had followed the design perfectly. Unfortunately, they chipped less than two weeks in. The dip nails that I had gotten elsewhere didn't chip at all during the 4 weeks I kept them on. They do beautiful nails here, but it seems you'll need to find the right go to person for a consistently lasting mani. Update in response to Anthony: My brown French tips nails were done by the owner, Anthony, in April '22, and my gorgeous pink nails were done by Haley in Aug '22. I've never been to another Polish salon outside of a Boulder :) read more

Just in town for the day, with my mom, hubs, and three girls. Got 3 pedis, one mani, and two nail polish for the youngest girls. Called ahead and made appointments and so happy i did, while we were there, they were having to turn people away for walk-ins since they were so busy. My nail tech had such cute little starburst designs and i asked if she could do some on mine. One of my daughters also wanted it on hers, so she did the cute little designs. So fun, and beautiful!!! If I'm in town again, I'd definitely stop here again! read more

I love polish, they always do such a nice job. I think they are far and away the best salon in Boulder, and I've been to many. They are SO kind and they really take their time with your nails, which I appreciate because I always leave loving my nails. This is a good salon and the workers are quick and efficient. That said, my dips don't seem to last very long before the tops of my nails start to chip. I think they need to get a better technique for sealing the tops of the nails. read more

We decided to stop into Polish during a vacation in the area and it was the perfect spot. Everyone that works there is friendly and professional. They were even worried about separating my friend and I even though she was getting a pedicure and I was getting a manicure. They're super sweet! Plus our nails look great for the trip now! One note - we did call about 10:30 to make an afternoon appt on a Friday and it was no problem but when people tried to come in with no appt while we were there around 4:30, they had to wait a while, so I'd suggest calling in advance. read more

I don't think I've ever been to a nail salon with such sweet staff! The woman who tends to answer the phone calls everyone "honey" and it's so lovely! I would love to have gorgeous long nails, however, I rock climb, so they need to be very short. This is the first salon where they don't seem irritated at me for this preference and don't try and convince me otherwise. Their gel manicures have treated me very well. If you go here, please, please tip them well and be kind. That's what they deserve! read more

This was my first pedicure in about two years and I was very pleased with the service i received at Polish Nails & Spa, along with their prices. Highly recommend you check them out. I had scheduled an appointment for the afternoon and when I arrived they were very prompt in getting me set up. I picked out my polish color and was then directed to a chair in the back room past the manicure stations. Each chair has a plexi divider hanging between them and the soaking basins are lined with plastic wrap for easy sanitation. My technician was Angel and she was very kind and attentive. After soaking, filing, and cuticle and callus removal, she proceeded to massage my feet and legs. Then onto polish! She was quick but took her time to remove any excess on my skin or at the base of the nail. I had a very enjoyable time here and will plan on stopping by the next time I'm in the area. Plus it only cost $32! I appreciated their precautions for Covid, which included employees and customers who were unvaccinated wearing masks and sanitizing the chairs in-between clients. read more

Even though they told me when I made the reservation that they do dip powder French, and again told me they do it when I arrived, they do NOT - they painted a white crescent over the dip set which chipped over very quickly. So look elsewhere for this special mani. However the pedicure was great. read more

the WORST pedicure I have ever had. they didn't listen to anything I said, cut my nails to the skin, they were jagged and crooked, and when they painted my nails some managed to get it all over my cuticles and skin. DO NOT GO HERE read more

This nail salon is absolutely amazing, will keep coming back anytime I do my nails now. The staff is so kind and welcoming. Going in, I wasn't sure if I could ask for the design that I wanted but after just showing the nail tech the picture she did a perfect job doing exactly what I was looking for. I went to Polish last night for my first mani-pedi since covid. I felt very comfortable and had a great experience! I went for the deluxe pedi and it was amazing! SO relaxing! Everyone working there seemed joyful and it was a really great atmosphere. My nails came out PERFECTLY. Hailey did mine and she was amazing. I have had wonderful luck getting "SandS" 'dip nails' done by Angel I like this salon because they are CO19 careful, and very professional. I myself have travelled worked and lived in other countries speak a few languages; so, this is not meant as a xenophobic slight to other places, but rather a critique. But) I also value that everyone is pleased to communicate fluidly about the service options in English. Just like the very best Maitre'd, somehow Angel will remember your name after just one visit! Hands down the best manicure I have ever gotten. I saw Haley, and she was super friendly. I told her that I was pregnant and really concerned about infections, so we just pushed cuticles back instead of trimming them. I loved that she listened to my specific concerns. She even used an organic lotion for my massage instead of one of the lotions containing retinol (not supposed to use retinol during pregnancy). This is definitely my new nail spot in Boulder. After getting a few decent pedicures here, I decided to let them do a dip powder mani on me. I live close and was trying to find a place closer to me that does as good of a job as the salon I was driving out to Lafayette for. Dip powder manicures last for a month on me and I am a teacher who works with her hands a lot! After 1 day a nail popped clean off when I was opening a cabinet. No big deal. I've had these randomly come off before so I just figured it was a one-off and went and got it fixed. Not TWO HOURS after I got that one fixed did another pop clean off like the first...almost like a step was skipped that bonds the powder to your nail? It didn't crack or break, just fell off. I was mad after that and realized it was more about poor craftsmanship than anything I did. I went and got a whole new set at my normal salon and will not be back to Polish. Guess I'll keep driving out to Luxe which has NEVER given me less than a perfect dip mani. read more

This is such a great place! I came in for a gel pedicure and gel acrylics. I forgot that they can't work on my nails while I'm getting a pedicure since I was doing acrylics And didn't have enough time to do both separately. The guy who was at the front desk, I think he's the manager, brought the stuff over to start working on my nails so that I would be able to leave on time. They were all very kind and helpful. They had some neat colors that I had never seen before and I absolutely love the glitter gel I got this time. read more

Brazil on the Hill received some pretty good reviews and it was close by, so I put my faith in them to rip out my hair. Getting an appointment was super easy, but when I got there, I was left waiting for around 10 minutes after my appointment time. I filled out the sheet saying specifically that I have sensitive skin. Once Katie came to take me to one of the back rooms, I explained to her that it was my first time ever getting waxed anywhere except my eyebrows. She told me we would do just a regular bikini at first instead of a full brazilian which sounded good to me. There was no consultation other than her telling me to keep my dress on and take off my panties and put them on the chair. Katie came back in and without letting me explain what I wanted, she started putting hot wax on my upper bikini line. And I commented, "ow, the wax is hot" and she didn't say anything about it. She proceeded to use a strip to rip my poor little hairs out. I've read a lot online on how you should always use hard wax on the bikini line, especially for sensitive skin, because it doesn't remove a layer of skin. There was no mention of what kind of wax used here on the website, waiver, or in person. The heat made me very uncomfortable and my skin is very irritated. When the first strip was pulled, I vocalized my pain, and Katie told me to be quiet because they "have other customers". In between strips, I tried to tell Katie what I wanted, and she told me that with my length of hair, what I wanted would look weird. I felt very uncomfortable by her saying that, because it seemed very judgmental, and people online say that esthetician should not be judgmental is because it is their job to look at people's private parts. I should not have felt embarrassed about my body when someone is doing something very personal for my body. The wax continued to feel very hot on my sensitive skin. Katie went back over places multiple times with more wax strips which is dangerous because it removes a layer of skin every time. Hard wax can be used over spots multiple times but not soft wax (which again, was not advertised). When she was done with the regular bikini, she asked me to sit up and look at what I have to see if I wanted to continue with a brazilian or an extended bikini. My skin was sticking to itself because it still had wax residue on it, which was painful on my red, bleeding, sensitive skin. When I said I was done, Katie (very aggressively) rubbed oil into my freshly waxed skin and I vocalized "that hurts" and she did not respond. Once she was done, she just walked out. No words on aftercare, or if I was even ready to go and put on my panties again on my bleeding, oily skin. I would have loved to hear about aftercare from a professional to avoid ingrown hairs because I'm susceptible to them, but I didn't get any assistance. For a first timer, it was not the best way to end an appointment. Luckily I did get the 50% discount for being a new customer, but even the $18 I spent was not worth all the pain and discomfort (both physically and emotionally) I went through for a gift for myself on my birthday. EDIT I got a call earlier today from Katie herself apologizing for the service I received and she offered a full refund. I still didn't get the service I wanted or expected, but I added a star for the attempt to fix it.

Prior to booking, we called to ask specifically about using a SpaFinder gift card and were advised that it would be accepted. Upon arrival, I also confirmed this directly with the front desk staff before our service, and I was again assured it would not be an issue. However, after our service concluded, I was informed that the gift card was not accepted after all. Had I been given accurate information, I would not have proceeded with the service that day. During this interaction, a young blonde-haired employee approached the front desk, stated "of course we don't take it," rolled her eyes, and walked away. This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that the confusion stemmed from misinformation provided by staff. Additionally, the men's locker room shower did not have hot water, which further detracted from the overall experience.

I poked my head into this salon that I didn't even know was there yesterday to see if they could do a walk-in. It was the end of the day and everyone looked to be wrapping it up for the night. But one stylist said she could take me, so I gave her a shot. Her name was Wendy, she was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. I think we both had a good time while she was doing her thing. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and knew what she was doing by techniques that I hadn't seen in years, such as using a straight razor on areas of my hair, etc. Before I knew it I was thinking to myself that this is gonna be a great cut, and it was. Most definitely one of the best cuts I have received in a long time. She explained why she did this & that to control my type of hair and gave me really good tips to take with me. I will be back for more of the same in the future. This is the first review I've wrote on Yelp, it's just something that I'm not into. But during our conversation I was telling her that although our businesses are totally different, they are similar as far as clients and word of mouth are considered. So when I was telling her what a great job she did and that I didn't want to forget to grab her card so that I could return one day, she politely mentioned that if I really liked my hair that she would appreciate a review. And now that I am almost done, I'm glad I took five minutes to say thanks and I hope it helps her with her business. It's not easy to be out there working for yourself, I know how hard it can be. Sometimes a little support goes a long way. And if your looking to try someone new, give her a shot, you won't be sorry. Wendy, thank you for a great job, I'm really happy with it :) -Brian

At first, I wasn't sure why they kept doing this to mee and they confirmed, they do not want to do my nails, due to my disability. I purchased pedicure "Lavender upgrade" for extra $65, noticeably, running thru my quality time, barely placing, my feet into hot paraffin wax, not mere moment's pleasures and loosening up, part of extra(s) paid amenities. The owner felt, it's ok, skip some of actual amenities, like pushing back +cutting cuticles (should be been done earlier) prior to coloring nails, adequately entire coverage, lasting impression. Also, they can fully either push me +/or rid of me, quickly, skipping massage, so they can tend, to all person(s), continues to "walk-in(s) without any appointment(s). There's 2 reason(s), I make appointment(s), prefer not to waste day; and, my request(s) for certain nail tech, knows my preference(s). And, repeatedly, making requests "cuticles" blaze work of my nails; going to nail salon is like "treat" supposed to endure relaxation and for some respite. Last, my "cuticles" I've repeated, multiple times and throughout. Prior to payment, finally cut cuticles and it's strange, they didn't push them back, either. They clip cuticles in less than couple minutes and gets your CC and says, that'll be extra $10. second,I'm 2nd generation Asian American, my husband, also Asian and friendly candor and worst uses all of it, take advantage(s), due my ethnicity want to taken care of within time frame. Yes, I'm Asian, disabled and wear oxygen. However walk-ins without appointments, continues to come in and owner, accepts them, tells them to pick color, drops me, like hot potato. Then, she would ask another person unaware my preferences plus, she's unable to understand/speak English, why make an appointment? I should come in, as walk-in since they do not seem to turn people away.

I have practically no natural nail but i wanted a manicure and they got the job done!!!

Huge mistake sending my girlfriend here!! I thought I was doing a good thing giving her a gift certificate for this place. This 'great idea' ended up in head lice for both of us!!! What a nightmare!! The place is a little dirty and dated, but I never thought it would end up being a hazard to our health. We actually both got lice from sitting in this place for an hour. I thought I was being romantic, but I should have investigated into what kind of place it was. We are ok now, but do not put yourself through the risk of being in this establishment. I have been to many nail places in Boulder and I think Polish is definately the best! They do a great pink and white, a great pedicure and they even have great tanning beds. I love getting pink and whites there, they use quality materials, my nails never yellow. The tanning is very reasonably priced for high quality beds. The atmosphere is always friendly, not cluttered with a bunch of junk and very clean. read more

I asked for a squiggly design and he said he could do it. After telling me it would be $70 (for a fill) he couldn't do the design at all so I ended up with regular French tips which I didn't want. The technique was sloppy and nails were extremely thick and lumpy. I told them it didn't look good and asked to only pay $40 instead of $60 since it was obviously bad and they finally let me pay $50. I understand things happen but the customer service was not there at all. The offered to redo it but after an hour and 45 minutes I needed to go home, they should have compensated me up front instead of me negotiating for 5 minutes. There are no prices posted anywhere, they make their own prices as they go and take advantage of nice people and charge them more. Definitely don't go here if you don't want a $70 lumpy fill that takes an hour and 45 minutes.

I love the atmosphere, the cleanliness and the way they buff the polish off my nails, which is GENTLE and even. My dip manicure is dry (they do not soak your nails in water, which is better for your nails.). Plus their work is very consistent - I am always happy. If you get acrylics, you will want to see Linda and you will probably need an appointment. If you are a last-minute scheduling or a walk-in (which they welcome!), you might have a couple different professionals working on your nails and you may have to move chairs a few times. If I don't schedule in advance with a specific person, I'm used to bopping around as different people come in for set appointments and I need to move. If you don't like that, tell them in advance! For the dip manicure (which stands up to hot water much much much better than gel!) it regularly lasts me 3 weeks. I always get the brand that starts with a Z. They carry the unicorn brand of iridescent powders to go over any polish as well, which is fun. They have a French dip manicure available as a dip, but if you want a French dip manicure with tips other than white, it is a combination of a dip base and a gel tip. They have three books of little nail stickers from baby cats, hearts, gold designs.. the options are endless, which my daughter loves. They are always busy, especially in the evenings with a constant stream of customers and all ages from CU students to the residents of Frasier Meadows retirement community. Men come here too. It is quite a diverse spot (for Boulder)! Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings can be super busy and it is best to have an appointment. Mornings are definitely the least busy time. They are open seven days a week and on many holidays. I really appreciate that the TVs are muted and one has views of beautiful places to travel and the other is a cake-making channel.
