This nail salon does an incredible manicure and pedicure. My nails are in the best condition they have ever been. The technicians move swiftly but do a fantastic job. Give yourself a gift and go get a mani/pedi. I always get a Hawaiian and a mini massage is included. It is a little slice of heaven. read more

So dissapointed, and a little creeped out. I have been heren a few times, and never loved the nails but its most convienent. This last set I got was cute, but the chrome I added which was an extra $15, and peeled off the next day. The main reason I wanted to write a review though is because the lady who did my nails, after I paid and even left a tip, came out of the store while I was pulling out to leave and took a photo of my license plate. Last time I went I paid $81 dollars for a Dip mani and pedi. This time they charged me $104, quoting me $75. When I brought it up to the lady she proceeded to yell at me saying they don't overcharge and continue to yell at me which I feel was very rude and uncalled for. Came here to have my nails fixed from a different place. Sweetest ladies!!! My nails are so much better. The gal took her time to fix every flaw and make sure the paint job was top notch. I went into to Starlight a few weeks ago to get acrylics done. It was my first time visiting, and I had experienced bad luck with other nail salons. I had high hopes. I was in love with my nails right after I got them done, but within two days my nails started to chip (it was cured gel - which isn't supposed to chip and that is why I got it). I read on their website that you can go in within two weeks and get the nails fixed if they chip. I went back in, and all they did was paint over the chipped spots, so there was dips in the polish and it wasn't smooth. I was okay with the job, and I just figured it was a free fix and it would be okay. Then my nails started to chip again, and the polish began to turn black. Almost all of the polish on one of my nails has peeled off, and the nail broke and chipped as well. Needless to say, I will not be returning this salon. read more

I agree with Nicole B., even though her review was left 18 months ago. I dropped over $150 here and will not come here again. There are better places. My daughter's 'shellac' started to chip in one week. The color polish they used on me was not the actual color of the name on the bottle (I own a bottle myself and it's my favorite color. Whatever color they were refilling the bottle with was not the color it is supposed to be). I got (the wrong) color on my toes and a french manicure on my hands. My manicure starting chipping after 2 days. Manicures I do myself last at least 4-5 days. Also the service was bad bad bad. One woman was exceptionally rude. She snapped at us like a snapping turtle to sit down for our pedicures while we were picking out nail polish colors. I should've walked out at that point but we were on a tight timeline. My (HUGE) mistake. We sat down and snapping-turtle-lady proceeded to speak loudly and laugh and point at our feet. I don't care about her opinion about our feet but what a jerk!. I saw my daughters' faces fall when they realized they were being made fun of. It was super awkward and rude and I should have left but they had a hold of our feet. The snapping-turtle-lady was weird in general. We got mediocre manis and pedis; quality of the products was below average and the service, well... enough said. I felt bad for my kids. And she screwed up my daughter's toes and justified it to her when I was out of earshot which I found out later and really pissed me off. I love coming to Starlight Nails for my mani/pedi treatments! It's so relaxing and the new massage chairs are amazing! I have been a customer for 10years! Jessica and her staff do a phenomenal job. She greets every client with a warm hello and takes walk ins with in 5 minutes or communicates what the wait time will be. From regular manicures and pedicures to shellac and dips these treatments last! They are very focused on cleanliness and client safety. She and her staff are well skilled! I travel frequently and have tried other salons across the country in nail emergencies. Nothing compares to coming to Starlight Nails. I have been going to starlight nails for 13+ years. They are affordable, caring and have high quality services. My current favorites are the acrylic sets and rebases and the deluxe pedicures. The ladies at starlight really get to know you and care about each of their customers. They're professional, clean and friendly. I love this place! I have sent friends here and they love it. I have been going here for over 15 years. I am not sure about the negative reviews or who they saw but never once have I been disappointed nor has my family. I have seen almost everyone there at least once but Jessica is my regular lady. I have problem nails due to health reasons and they always accommodate me. If I break a nail or chip one they fix it fast for me. They are always friendly-remembering 90% of their client's names. They have always been professional-I have never seen staff on phones while working with clients. I never feel rushed. This is the worst place to go!!! I went in and got a rebase. They were too short, shaping was inconsistent and crocked. I told the nail tech right away it was too short and she said oh I will fix it. I showed her they were crooked, she made them even shorter trying to correct them. I called and spoke with the owner and told her my concerns and I wanted them redone. We made an appointment. When I show up for my appointment, the owner says the tech told her my nails were already too short. They refused to back their product. This is horrible customer service. Apart from the fact that they avoided contact with me during the initial visit. No eye contact, no thank you no welcome. Stay away. I ended up at Empress Nails and had a new set put on and they are beautiful!! May I recommend Victoria there. read more

Four words: do not go here. The only reason I gave this place 2 starts instead of 1 is because the lady that did my pedicure did an okay job. I made an appointment for 6:15 and they insisted on doing my nails and toes at the same time, which is totally fine but when four more customers walked in without appointments at 6:30, the lady doing my manicure began to rush. When I picked a lighter color for my shellac on my nails, I began to worry when she would BARELY put any polish on the brush whatsoever. I asked her to do three coats. Well she did and they still look terrible. Needless to say, I ended up with terrible, see through, uneven polished nails. WORST manicure I have ever had. I leave for a vacation tomorrow and don't even time to have somewhere else re do them. Will never ever go back here. I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

This is a great place for a quick (1.5 hr) deluxe mani and pedi. I have been going for over a year. I love all the girls. Everyone does there best to remember me each time. I feel compelled to write a review this time because they suggested a gel nail polish rather than traditional as they know how much we wash our hands this time of year. Let me tell you girls, it was well worth th extra $18 dollars. It has been over a week since my last visit and my polish looks like it's from this morning, not a single chip! I really like this quick salon for a no-appointments necessary man or pedi. It was clean, the girls that worked there were sweet, and I was in an out in just enough time to get a good manicure. On top of that, even though it was my first time there the technician gave me a free cuticle oil and emery board for christmas! Only reason I am not giving this place five stars is the ambiance it not sophistcated or fancy but it was comfortable. Plus a mani is only $12! Considering there are a dozen nail salons in a one mile radius, I'm sure you could find a better place to spend your money. I went in a with a friend to get a mani/pedi but as soon as the pedi was done we decided to forgo the manis and booked it out of there instead. During our pedicure the two ladies doing them gabbed the entire time, distracting themselves from our pedi because apparently their conversation was so enthralling. So here I am sitting there while her hands are simply resting on my legs while she finishes her story. So annoying...do your job!!! I have places to be too. Unfortunately, we only speak English and a tad of Spanish so we couldn't understand what they were saying about my friend...which they were clearly talking about her because they kept pausing their convo, looking at her, and then continuing. We could care less what they were saying but we just thought it was rude and it's not a very comfortable feeling to be frequenting a business that has no consideration for their customers. I like this place! it isn't anything fancy (no free mimosas or super calming atmosphere), but they gave my friend and I great gel manicures. we went in on the weekend without appointments and they were able to fit us in right away. later I did hear a few people turned away because they didn't have room, so appointments still might be a good idea. either way, I'd go back when I'm just wanting simple nails done. read more
