I am not really much of a girly girl so when i decided to get my nails done my expectations were not high. This place was awful. Got a manicure, no polish or top coat, just went in to have my nails shaped and my cuticles trimmed. The lady trimmed my nails hastily, half the time not even looking at my hand, and it showed. I walked out of there disappointed because my nails looked like they had been hacked up, not only were they uneven but i was left with hang nails! I stopped by target on my way home and bought a nail buffer emery board thing that shines up your nails to fix my nails. read more

Please see my picture and read this before you come here!!! I have used this place regularly for almost a year and have been disappointed with everyone except "Tina" who is lovely. Most recently, I went and decided on a full set, Tina was out of the country so I went with another woman. She was on the phone 90% of the time she did my nails. I was displeased with the job but did not complain, honestly I was glad to not have to have to pay to hear this annoyed woman's conversation in a language I couldn't understand. A few days later my fingers started hurting (one in particular), the pain in most passed with in a day or two expect for the one finger that kept getting worse. I thought I had developed a bad ingrown nail so filed the nail which seem to alleviate a small amount of pain. However, after two weeks my nail was hurting terribly, throbbing 24 hours a day. I very painstakingly ripped the painful nail off and almost vomited from the large amount of green puss that oozed out. The infection I was given at Starlight ripped the nail from the bed leaving me with ugly painful nails. I am disgusted with this place and will never return. read more

Extremely thorough, friendly and clean! Great selection of colors. Atmosphere is nothing fancy. Everyone speaks English very well. The chair (middle chair) I sat in last time, gave a massage but could barely feel it. Other chairs I've sat in were the bomb at giving a deep massage! The $35 deluxe pedi is so worth the extra time and money!!! I usually call ahead and they can take me right away or within 20 min. I very rarely have to wait (even on weekends)! read more

Absolutely wonderful place!!! Today I went to get a manicure and I watched the owner Jessica put on socks and shoes on an elderly lady. They were joking back and forth. Their relationship was genuine and awesome to watch. I'm positive that the only relationship they have is Jessica being "her nail lady". But it was truly something special to witness. The first time I went they did a great job. Then I went with a friend a few weeks later to get a pedi. I had made an appointment that morning for her and I. Despite this, we waited over 35 minutes and finally left. I chalked it up to them just being super busy (despite the appointment). Then I went in for my fill and gel. I came to this nail salon because i am visiting from AZ and needed a mani-pedi asap before I left back home and it was the closest one. Save your time and go one about 1-2 miles away. The ladies there just talk to each other the WHOLE time. I am not much of a person who is bothered by it but when I have somewhere to be and they spend their time talking it gets quite annoying. I had also gotten a gel manicure and the color I got needed about two more coats but they stopped at just two coats! The blue is practically see through!! I had a great first experience w Ann. I had a shelac pedi w the best foot & leg massage from Ann. I also had a dip mani at the same time by another lovely lady. Both the mani & pedi were quality. I had read bad reviews on this local place. I just moved here & wanted a nail salon close to home. So I took a chance & paid close attention to make sure all went well. I am very pleased w this whole experience. It took only an hour for the mani & pedi at the same time. It was nice sitting in a massage chair too. read more

Had made 5 reservations to get mani and pedis for my daughters wedding to ensure they wouldn't be rushed to do our nails. My toes looked better before they polished them with week old polish that i had put on. They are not smooth and moist nails are not fully covered. This is horrible for $35. read more

I have been there several times for pedicures and pink/white nails. On my last visit, during my pedicure, they cut my foot when removing dead skin. I did not realize how big it was until returning home. It was painful bc of the location of the cut. I waited 5 days to call the salon and the owner's response was "put Vaseline on it". No apology (my foot was cut by the tool they use to remove dead skin). I will not be back. read more

I am so mad this place gave me a nail fungus along with my pedicure. I read a few reviews that said the same thing but i though I'm sure it will be fine. We'll i was very mistaken so unless you now also want to spend the rest of your summer and several $100 dollars getting rid of a nail fungus I recommend you go else ware. I now get the spend the next few months not only having unpainted toenails for the summer, as I have to put stuff on them twice a day, but they are yellow and brown and gross and I'm not positive this will even fix the situation. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE LISTEN TO THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY GOT A NAIL FUNGUS. I wish I did :0( read more

It's too bad we have to give a star rating. This place doesn't deserve even one star. The people there are rude, they rush you through, and if something doesn't suit you (...you, the paying customer), they're the last to offer a solution. For example, I didn't care for the nail color I had chosen once the woman started applying it to my nails. I asked if we could stop so I could choose a different color. The woman helping me gave me a big, heavy sigh of impatience. Further, after I asked for a change in color, it was very obvious that she was talking about me in her native language. This place literally made me feel so uncomfortable. At first everything was fine I asked for a matte black coat with a design. As they call me back I'm standing there while the other customer is getting up and getting her things. So I kinda stand there to see if someone is going to clean up the station before I sit down. But nope, she tells me to sit down. So now I'm feeling grossed out. She puts my hand in the bowl of water sitting there and the entire time my thought was please be clean water. So I finally build up the courage to say hey can you get a new towel. She asks me why and I say I feel like this one is dirty. And she stares at me for a second and tries to tell me how it's just stained and they are clean. Which I normally would get, if it wasn't the same exact colors of the nail polish sitting right there that she used on the other lady. She continue to use the towel and then tells me to wash my hands. K cool. Then I asked for a sunflower she tries several times which I totally get. It can be hard. But let me tell you, I have Spongebobs house on my nail. Big ol pineapple. The other nail looks semi okay. Definitely not a sunflower. Just tell me you can't do it and I'll pick something else. Anyways she gets just about done and looks down and says wait you wanted Matte? And I'm like yeah she she starts talking to the lady in the front, no idea what was said. But she basically tried to improvise her mistake and it came out looking ridiculous. I will NEVER ever go back to this place. I live about 2 mins away and would of made this a regular spot. But HECK NO, best believe I'll make the drive to make sure I have a better experience. This place should be ashamed. read more

Honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon and I've been getting my nails done for 20+ years. I came to this salon because I was short on time and it is close to my office, major mistake! I asked for my nails to be shortened "just a little bit" she took that as file them all the way down. I have acrylic nails and with as short as they are there is absolutely no point in having acrylic! And to top that off they are all different shapes and lengths. I wanted them rounded to almost a point, she didn't understand what I wanted and that was very clear. I asked and asked and asked for her to shape them the same, and explained what I wanted over and over, at one point I took the file and began filing my left hand myself, then asked her to file the right the same way. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Now both hands look totally different. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review EVER, that is how extremely unhappy I am. Oh and a simple rebase took 2 hours!!! read more

I would not recommend going here. Maybe it was just the person I got but she cut my toe and then tried to cover up the cut. The polish was coming off because she didn't get all the oils off from the cuticle oil and while I was drying my toes I noticed how bad they looked and that blood was pooling on my toe. When she came over she kind of tried to shoo me out and I stopped her to show my toes. I asked if I could see the manager, she didn't want to tell me who it was. It took me at least 5 min to get her to talk to the manager. I just wanted my toe cleaned properly so it wouldn't get infected. Finally the manager came over, I told her I just didn't want the same lady to work on my nails. The manager did clean my toe well, took off the polish and redid it and did not charge me so I appreciated that. At least she made everything right. However I'm not comfortable with the employee hiding and trying to cover things up. read more

This place does a decent job, but the prices are a little shocking, and not well listed..they did a pretty good job, however we feel like price wise it was kind of a rip off. We all wanted a mani/pedi with a shellac upgrade. We assumed, the shellac would just be an extra up charge from the normal $35 mani pedi, so logically 8-10$ more. This is our fault for not verifying, but after checking the website just went for it. Turns out it was $56 for a mani pedi with shellac for the mani....does anyone else think this is crazy?! I totally understand shellac is more, and we should have asked. I have had many a shellac manicure, and I'll admit $56 isn't that crazy HOWEVER the times I paid that much was at a spa for the best manicure I have ever gotten....this was good, but not great. But with their prices we assumed.... moral of the story is they did a pretty good job, but we broke the bank paying for them and just wish we would have known ahead of time. It's not that crazy if it was a really nice place with spa features but it's pretty basic with no frills. If you don't mind the price that's fine, but if you are frugal I recommend going somewhere a little cheaper! read more

This was one of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. We went in around 6 for a gel manicure and asked if they had time before close to do two seperate manicures. They said they did and got us sat down and started. However they obviously did not want us to be there and I've never had a manicure so bad. It's the morning after and three nails have already chipped. This is gel. It normally lasts quite a long time, but the lady was rushing and they didn't set right. I also asked for a design on my ring finger. Just four lines, nothing fancy. The lines are crooked, do not span the whole nail and the lines themselves are wobbly. Thank god this was one of the nails that has already peeled off. The last but not least complaint is I asked for my nails to be squared off, the manicurist used clippers and cut them crooked. One side is so short that it's almost to the quick. But my chief complaint is that it hurt! She cut my cuticle and was not at all gentle. I could go on and on it was truly an awful expierence and not worth the 40+ dollars spent! After reading the reviews and pricing sheet, the gel was only supposed to cost 18$. I have no clue how it is that I walked out spending 42$. Awful awful expierence!!!! read more
