I love this place. If you know me, I am a critic when it comes to nails. I will definitely let a place know if they've messed up. This place has done a perfect job every time. I originally went to this place because I desperately needed my nails to be fixed from a terrible job by VIP Nails that I had gone back not once, but twice to try and get fixed and they failed to fix both times. Holly and Jenna are perfection. Jenna is one of the most talented nail technicians I've ever had. She never rushes and you can tell she is a perfectionist when it comes to her career. Holly is no different! She does my acrylics amazing every time. I usually have to go home and fix little things with my own file, but I've not had to since I've started coming here. The shape and length is always what I ask for the first time. Their pricing is very reasonable too, they don't charge outrageous prices even when you want specific designs either which is always a plus. The shop is also always very clean and is not over powered by an acetone smell like some places. There's nothing, but great things I can say about this place and I try to recommend it to anyone I can! Also love Kylie, she's adorable. read more

Since they have been in business for so many years, their salon feels like a fun part of the neighbourhood/community. I really love the atmosphere of this place. Holly is great and truly works her butt off. Her family are all amazing. Detailed and will get you exactly what you want. Kylie the pup is always so well behaved but definitely wants to great everyone which I LOVE!! HOWEVER and this is a big one and the reason they only get two stars. Even though I love them so much! Holly ALWAYS over books appointments and always welcomes walk ins which makes it hard to actually sit anywhere near your appointment time or be taken care of and get out in a timely manner. On numerous occasions (more often than not) this turns into a 3-4 hour event for shellac nails. Because she does not properly manage the appointment times. I truly enjoy this place and the ladies here but if you don't have time to dedicate your entire evening to sitting here pick a different place. read more

A really pleasant nail salon with reasonable prices. I dropped in on a Tuesday after work for a mani/pedi. They were able to take me right away. They have a huge selection of nail polish colors. I got a quality Manicure & Pedicure for $32. It's a comfortable salon and nicely appointed. They will take credit cards, but there are lots of little signs all over the place saying that they really would prefer that you pay in cash so they can avoid card fees and keep the prices low. They stay open until 8pm during the week, which is fantastic. But, I am glad that I came in when I did (about 5:15pm) because there was a group that came in around 6pm and there would have been a significant wait at that time. read more

We made an appointment for 4 for my daughter's birthday, thinking we would all get our nails done at the same time and grab lunch. Instead, we waited 20 minutes, before even the first person of our group went. Then they would stop working on her nails and move to someone else in the salon. It took so long, we decided only my daughter and her friend would get nails done because we were starving. We had been there 90 minutes with only one person complete. But the owner told us it would be just a few more minutes and another technician would be free to help so I agreed and let her start my nails. But the technician didnt free up. She stopped my nails and started my friends. They also started helping people who walked in after us. We are now, three of four, half finished manicures. 2.5 With appointments! We finally get out of there, arrive to snooze for our planned lunch and it is closed. Very frustrating. They don't understand appointments. They did a great job but not worth their complete lack of respect for our time. read more

I still think these ladies do a great job, but it is too difficult to get an appointment here, I called one day and made an appointment and when I got there I sat for 35 min while literally watching her do another woman's nails right in front of me...she kept apologizing to me but hey if I make an appointment I expect you to take me within 5-10 min of my arrival...sitting for 35 min is unacceptable...I had to actually get up and leave because she wasn't going to be finished for at least 20 min more. It looked to me like she had just started on this client 5 min before I got there...why did she schedule me an appointment if she was already booked? the communication on her part was obviously lacking on this particular day. you don't ever double book yourself in the spa/salon service industry because it makes you look really unprofessional :( read more

I went in yesterday for my first time for a full set and the service was amazing. I went in kind of late but they were so good to me. I think her name was Kayla, she was very sweet and made sure I knew exactly what I wanted before even starting. We talked a lot about everything which I really appreciated. She took her time and made sure all my nails looked identical. I loved how detailed she was with everything she did. It's a small shop so I think people need to have realistic expectations. Only 4 or 5 people work there and they're constantly working so for my service to be so great after them working so hard all day was great! At the end of the job I smudged my pinky and she was so good about fixing it she didn't give me any sass even though it added about 20 minutes to the manicure. I will definitely be coming back! I have been a customer here for ~3 years and have seen a marked decline in their service this summer. They do have a nice atmosphere - not as bland as a lot of places. But, their massage chairs are WAY past their prime and don't even work. They do have the best prices around which is the last remaining reason I go there. They are quick to ask you what you need when you come in, but pick and choose who they help first based on "regular" customers. Apparently, once every 6 - 8 weeks for 3 years does not make me a regular! I have been there prior to several other walk ins, but helped after them on several occasions. I finally tried to make appointments, but they don't bother to write them down so you still wait (and wait and wait). The color options are very limited, so I usually bring my own. They also do reuse the nail separators, so I bring my own as well on those (and have to fight to not have them removed when I leave!) This year the owners teenage daughter (presumably) has been there helping out. She is HORRIBLE. She 'starts' your mani or pedi until someone else can take over. She has massacred my nails and cuticles every time and I declined her 'help' on my last visit. If you get the owner she is great, but the rest of the staff is pretty mediocre. They were a great find three years ago, but my own sheer laziness has kept me going back this year. Definitely time to move on. read more

The nail shop is quaint, clean and simple and is your typical nail shop. I started going to this shop as it was close to home, affordable and they did a slightly above average job on full sets and manicures. Unfortunately, as the business grew the service began to slump. From observation the woman who I assume was an owner was the preferred nail tech for about 90% of the customers. This nail tech saw this and began to overbook herself where she would start on one client and as her regulars started to come in for appointment she would pass off the current client to the other nail tech. She would sometimes go back and forth when she had more than one regular in at the same time. Clients who had called for an appointment usually had to wait 20-40 mins to get their requested nail tech, usually her. The deal breaker was when my husband and I came in early evening during the week me for a mani/pedi and him for a pedi, (he likes his feet to look clean when wearing sandals). We were barely greeted and was not asked to check in, the woman asked from across the store as she worked on client what services we needed, which I proceed to let her know. We waited about 15 mins which was ok since we were walk-ins. I was asked to come back first and as my service began two more women came in and was taken back for their service while my husband was ignored. When the issue was brought up my husband was so put off that he passed the service and just waited for me to finish. The woman apologized as she did not realize that he was waiting for a service as well and offered that he be serviced first next time we come in. At this point it was too little to late and we had no plans on coming back. read more

Reading the other reviews makes me think, if the prices went up recently or that pedicures are crazy expensive in this neck of the woods, because lots of reviewers had said they were affordable. Call me old fashioned, but $23 for a pedicure is expensive. The first time I came here they charged me $17, which I thought, okay not bad. Then when I asked about that price the next time I came they didn't know what I was talking about. The nail stylist said, no, it's $23. Kinda strange I think. They do a nice job, take their time and are friendly. But I'm gonna keep searching around for something more affordable. I'm from LA, where a fancy spa pedicure can run you $15. At first, I thought this place was going to be not so much of a primary spot to get your nails done because I was afraid of getting horrible service and everything but turns out this place off of Church Ranch Blvd can make a total difference in how you outlook on nails. I actually got a nail removal at this location, and I believe Dianne the owner is absolutely friendly and tries and tries to make the best out of assisting every customer. She is so chill and connects with literally everyone. I thought it was humorous that she laughed and kept on saying "Oh My God!!" To everything it was pretty amusing and entertaining. First time and last time!! Called in an appointment for a shellac manicure the day of. I waited 20 minutes to be sat, which I would have been fine with but, they proceeded to leave my nails wrapped for 50 minutes to soak off my previous shellac manicure. At that point, after having been there for over an hour for a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT I asked her to just scrape it off and shape them because I didn't have another hour to waste. Super disappointing. Love this place. My go to for acrylics and a pedicure. They take a while, yes, but they do a phenomenal job and it is WELL worth the wait. I am a chronic nail biter and normally crack off and pick off even acrylics, but have never done that from here because they are so well done. I am new to Yelp. The first thing I did after joining was read reviews of places I frequent. I hadn't planned on commenting until I read another review and felt I should speak up. I've been a regular customer (more than every 8 weeks) and have always had excellent service. The staff WORKS in this salon. They are busy at times but that is the way it is in the service industry. I never feel neglected and never leave dissatisfied. I'll keep going to this nail salon. I've told Holly to raise her prices but she insists on keeping the prices lower than industry standard. Very friendly staff. Nail Avenue is very peaceful and beautiful, the decor is so pretty, peaceful greens, bamboo plants, pretty bronze wall accessories/clocks, cozy couches. My pedicure was amazing and very relaxing, I had a request for a certain design and Jenna got it to the tee! I convinced my husband to get his first pedicure with me and it was nice to see him relax. I know he enjoyed himself. Holly and Jenna were so considerate, accommodating and friendly. It was a really great experience.
