Candelas is off the beaten track, so my visit there on a Saturday afternoon was nice and quiet compared to the high traffic of other locations. The nail artist did a pretty good job with my pedicure. The results have lasted a week, whereas at other places their handiwork tends to chip within a few days. (I suspect some salons water down their nail polishes.) Will not return. There is nothing worse than going with pictures and not getting what you want. It took 2 1/2 hours for mani/pedi. I guess if we want to be fair, the shape of nails is what was asked for and toes are fine but so disappointed with the paint job on hands. Of course it is what everyone sees. I have been long looking for somewhere in the area that does quality nails and have had miss after miss. Chelsea at Candelas Nails did such a fantastic job I had to share. I think I most people in the area think that this place hasn't opened yet and I was shocked that they weren't busy yesterday. They do outstanding work and are in line price wise with others in the area. They also have a punch card system which gives you a discount if you are a returning customer. I stoped by about 6 months ago and the owner was very nice and still is. The manicurist did a really good job. I retuned a few more times and it was as good as the first Unfortunately the last couple times the manicurists were new and the original ones were not their. The new employees over the last 2 times were horrible. My toes are in pain this time and close to bleeding. She dug deep with some tool to lift my toe nail the used the pointed cutter to rip the side of my nail out. Great location for me and disappointed that the quality is currently lacking. I hope they get some better manicurist so I don't have to go elsewhere read more

I have been here at least 10 times, including bringing my young daughter. I do dip nails, sometimes need tips after camping tripe, and my daughter and I do pedis. It is beautiful in there. Initially booked pedi appointment but asked about additional service for full pink and white set. I casually mentioned my allergy to acrylic from years ago and Michelle very attentive to this situation and immediately offered alternative option and IF ANY problems or reactions to contact her immediately and she would take care of it . I have tried this salon three times and each time, my shellac manicure lasts for maybe a week before it starts chipping. Other places I have been can last four to six weeks. It's a pretty salon and everyone I've met there has been very nice but I won't be going back. read more

The quality is half effort at best. Every time I go I just get a dip manicure on my natural nail (no tip) and they don't pay any attention to the shaping, it starts lifting up as soon as it grows out, and it chips after 2 weeks. Please learn how to do a quality manicure. read more

This is one of THE best salons I've been to. It's clean it's quiet and the ladies that work there are so kind and there's a beautiful view of the mountains. I've had manicures & pedicures here a half dozen time since the spring. They have been fine. Yesterday, I had a regular pedicure and a regular French manicure. The staff encouraged me to get a gel manicure because it would last longer. I declined because I just st don't like gel and so thought the regular would be fine for a beach vacation. Here I am 24 hours post manicure and three finger nails have chips. Very disappointing! read more

Love the technicians and the amount of care they take to ensure my mani and pedi are perfect! Not wild about the products they use for dip manicures, though. If I could give no stars I would. As you can clearly see from the photos it was the worst job I have ever seen. And when asked to fix the shape or the white she said " I already put it away." Then wanted $50. I have been getting my nails done, acrylics or manicures for 20 years+. I have even been to this nail salon, and even had this same woman. Who would have never tried getting by with this horrid of a job, on me. The white clearly too thick. The shape is not what she asked for either. I don't know that I have ever had acrylics done in 30 minutes. I would guess if I did they would have looked something like this. It took longer to take them off then it did to put them on. This woman clearly took advantage of a young girl I am outraged yet again at the way people treat each other. When I went in with her later to tell them they were refunding and taking them off, the woman sat quietly threatening my daughter that she would have refused service if she knew she was going to do this. Ha! We wish you would have. What a waste of time. My daughter called me over because of that and the woman didn't speak a word for the rest of the removal. Go anywhere else. read more
