I had Jordon do a shampoo and blowout for me, and Devony cut a good 2 inches off my daughter's curly hair. Both Jordon and Devony were lovely and skilled. Wish I could write a review on actual services I had done - however, when I arrived for my appt. today, the stylist I was scheduled to see for a FULL highlight, trim and wax informed me she only had me down for a partial highlight and wouldn't have time for a full. She looked at the schedule and the soonest they could get me in is in almost two weeks. I have multiple events going on in the next week I wanted to have fresh hair for - and instead my roots are gross and very obvious. Dawn is AMAZING!! This lady is the total package as far as hairstylists go! She is so sweet and genuinely cares about providing a fantastic experience. I've only been here a few times, one of which was to get my nails done, which was an amazing experience. Recently I came in to get a balayage, done by Karol, and she did a phenomenal job. I was expecting to leave with somewhat crispy hair, just due to bleach, but my hair feels healthy and strong. The salon was very clean, and very organized. My appointment for May was cancelled because my stylist left without any warning I am guessing. I finally called today to schedule an appointment as I have been swamped with other appointments and the woman on the phone was so rude. I have been coming to this salon for at least a couple of years and when she answered the phone, I gave her my name. She then asked what all I needed to get done and I started listing everything and then I said don't you have my information there or did the stylist who left take it all with her. She got very snotty and said she couldn't look up my information without my name and I told her that was the first thing I did was give her my name when I called. She also told me it would be about 3 weeks to get my hair needs taken care of. Then every person I said I would like to see (I wanted a senior stylist), the person was going on vacation, etc. and would not be available to assist me. I am done and won't be returning at all. The girls at the front desk who used to answer the phones were so polite and responsive...this woman was horrible and rude! It appears this place is doing a major overhaul and not in a good way! read more

Came in today for the first time and was welcomed right away! They are also taking all the right measures to make sure they are following Covid rules. Upon signing in I received a welcome bag filled with some cute goodies and Aveda travel products! Karol did an amazing job with my balayage and got my hair to the exact color I wanted! I wish I could review the haircut but my son never even got one. We had an appointment, show up and we're told that our appointment was at a different time, 2 hours later. Not super pleased, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to a misunderstanding. We go home and come back at the time told only to again be told they had another scheduling mistake and our appointment was indeed at the earlier time and they couldn't get us in that evening at all. After 2 trips with an appointment, that we had shown up for, they didn't even offer to make it work or figure something out. They did offer to make us an appointment the next day. Customer Service is quite lacking at this salon. I booked my appointment a month ago, for today. I got a phone call at 1:45 PM today - 3 hours and 15 minutes before my appointment - and was told that my stylist no longer worked there. There was no offer to rebook me with someone else; I had to ask. When I expressed my frustration with being called at the last minute, I was told that they had tried to call me several times and had left messages. This was an outright fabrication. (I checked my phone afterwards, as well.) When I strongly denied being called back (and let's be honest - was not using any foul language, etc.) I was basically told that they did not want my business. Okay... I love Aveda products and am a loyal Pur Privilege member over many years in many cities. This is my second visit to this salon and have spent about $500 over those two visits. Today, I had a $75 loyalty certificate to spend on services only. I booked a haircut and treatment which totaled $55 without tip. The stylist and salon booker were told that a $75 very would be used before I arrived and again when I arrived. The salon would not give the difference of my certificate for a service another time or to use toward a tip on service. "We don't do that," I was told. So, basically I lost $20 by using that salon- because they wouldn't/couldn't think of anything else I might've spent it on, which is ironically the salon where I spent $500 to earn the certificate. What they should have done was upsell me on an additional Hair service today that would get me to the $75 Level or above. Instead I left feeling robbed by a retailer who charges too much for their products anyway. If you're going to see a premium product you should provide premium service. read more

I have been a loyal customer at this salon for years, but no more! The customer service has been declining, the interior is beginning to look shabby and they are losing stylists on a steady basis. When the person I went to was out for leave, I saw two other people who did a horrible job. One, for instance, did not read the full formula for color and even after I prompted her, she decided independently to change the color because she thought it would look better. Now, the owners have informed me that starting in January 2020, the rate for the same service I have been getting on a monthly basis is going up 50%! The rate has been going up steadily every six months already and now they expect me to pay 150% of what I was paying. Deceased service and significantly increased pricing....not a good scenario. All these things indicate poor management and extreme greed by the owners. They also own salons in Lakewood, Tiffany Plaza and Lonetree. Look out consumers! read more

Really unfortunate that the 'spa' can't seem to get it together. I've been here before and they did a pretty good job on my hair. This time I decided to try it out for an eyelash tint. easy enough I thought. I usually go to either Waxing the City or Urban Escapes Day Spa for my eyelash tint. However, I happened to be in Arvada and decided to do it here. A few things: 1. The front desk people were totally confused in general. When I called they informed me that they offer the color blue-black for tint... not the case. They also didn't seem to know who I was when I got there, and kept calling me a different name even after I corrected them. Then they pointed to the general direction of where the 'spa' was and I wandered until I found it. How hard is it to walk me back there? Especially when there are 3 girls standing up front. 2. My appointment was 15 minutes late because the front desk miscommunicated to the spa lady who I was and what appointment I had. 3. The lady was nice, but seemed to rush through putting the color on my lashes (probably because now her time was late). Then she actually made me sit up, open my eyes and go back to the waiting area while I had globs of tint on my lashes. She sent me off with a Q-tip and a paper towel and told me where the bathroom was to wash my own lashes. I'm not paying 'spa' prices to do all the work. 4. I wanted to wait at least 15 minutes, but then (after she did another appointment) she came back and hustled me back into her room and told me to wash off the color in the sink while she stood next to me. Let me tell you, that is NOT the way to wash that stuff off. It stings like crazy if you just add water to the globs because it seeps into your eyes. So my eyes were stinging and she took the paper towel away. Then made me sit down and poked my eyes with a q-tip with vitamin e to get off the residue. So all of that would have been fine (I suppose) if the end product was worth it. But here's the thing. When I looked in the mirror, I saw that I hardly had any color on my lashes AT ALL. Very faint, even though the color is 'deep black.' She was nice enough to give me 15% off for the wait, and honestly I don't blame the lady who did my lashes. They clearly don't train them how to do this properly. It was just a terrible experience and I didn't even get dark gorgeous lashes out of it. Which, by the way it what I'm used to when I go to the previous places I mentioned above. Maybe this is a one-time experience, but it seemed to me that this is the drill for the eyelash tint. Sigh... won't be coming back here. read more

I really love this place. Most of the receptionists there are friendly, welcoming and warm. Of course they have amazing products because, well, they are Aveda. The salon is clean, quiet, comfortable. They have a spa there too, but have not visited it yet. Alicia (hairstylist) is amazing. She is really kind and thoughtful. She does a fantastic job on my hair and she really knows hair and products. So, if you have questions or concerns, she is your girl. This is my go to place. read more

I had never treated myself to a non-cheapie haircut, so when I decided to splurge and treat myself, I knew I would head to Aveda. I made an appt for the same-day. The salon is just one, big, open room with a high table and chairs while you're waiting. They offer water or tea while you're waiting, which is a nice touch. I am not a "fancy" person and was expecting to feel out of place in this salon, but my girl (Allie) was GREAT. She was very chill and amazing. I told her to just do whatever she thought would look good, and she did. She cut my hair using only a razor. It took over an hour, and it looked FABULOUS. It was very flattering to my face. I could not stop touching it for days. Even my husband liked it-- which is saying something, since he's not a huge one for change. Her price was $40, but considering it took her over an hour to do it, I paid that gladly. I haven't gone back yet, but I certainly will. read more

Upon noticing my disheveled look, Tracy gave me her card and told me to come by. I'm glad I did. I'm not a picky guy in general so the attention to detail felt like down right pampering, in addition to the normal pampering. Tracy gave me a wonderful coif and I can't remember having a better conversation with a hairstylist in my entire life. Plus, it's decently priced. You definitely get more than what you payed for. I would highly recommend this place to any guy who is looking for something more than a boring buzz cut. read more

Horrible. Do yourself a favor--skip it. Bought a coupon off their website for a cut and all over color, came in, and waited for 30 minutes while they did everything they could to charge me more than the coupon price. The manager condescendingly told me I needed to "tell them about the coupon when I scheduled" (I had), to "read the fine print" (I did), and to "bring in a print voucher" (it says right on the voucher that a phone display is fine). First they said the color only included root touch ups ("all over color"...right) then they amended that to say it was all over color but my hair was too long, so they needed to charge extra (I asked them what they defined as "extremely long hair"--anything below the chin. Seriously?) so instead of paying $100 for what should have been $60, I asked for a refund. Which it "was not it her power to give." So now I am disputing the charge with my bank. Both the stylist and the manager were extremely unsympathetic, unhelpful, and unfriendly. I ignored the bad reviews before I went. Don't make that mistake. They don't deserve your business. read more

I've been getting my hair cut and colored at Centre Salon & Spa for about 4 months now and I couldn't be happier. When I lived in Chicago, I swore by an Aveda salon there and since I left (in 2006!) have yet to find another place that made me as happy. I've spent the past 7 years bouncing around from salon to salon - never feeling quite satisfied with what I was getting for the money I've been paying. Then I found Heidi @ Centre - and I can tell you I won't go anywhere else. She listens to what I want - which isn't always an easy thing to do. I can be a bit finicky when it comes to whether I want more layers, just a trim, just let it grow etc. She also does an amazing job with my color - I have way more grey hairs than I used to! I've also tried the eyebrow threading. She also did a great job, I've just come to the realization that I'm a wimp and threading really freaking hurts - I'll just stick to the plain old waxing because I'm a wimp. The staff at the front desk is courteous and helpful. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place. read more

I have been coming to this salon for 11 years. I have received countless massages, facials, eyebrow threading, hair cuts&color, and have easily bought thousands worth of product. That being said the 1 star rating is because the customer service is terrible. Right before my last pre-booked appointment I was contacted by my usual stylist who said she recently left Centre but offered to keep my appointment at her new location. I agreed because she does an amazing job and was the reason I went to Centre for so long. After I met with her I realized that NO ONE even contacted me from Centre to let me know she had left or to offer another stylist's services. I would have shown up that day expecting to get my hair done and would have been without a stylist. I have yet to hear from them. They obviously don't care about my loyalty or the money I have paid to them over the past 11 years and it is apparent they do not wish to retain me as a customer. read more

I have been coming to this salon for 8 years (I rarely get my hair cut) and every time I stop by I'm greeted with a friendly face and a welcoming smile. I have gotten Hair cuts, highlights, and total dye jobs. The only time i had an issue with the ombré job i got done, they called me and asked to have me come back in so they could have a different stylist fix it up. The end results were smooth and the colors blended beautifully. I will happily come back because i love how my hair smells after a visit!! Unfortunately I come so randomly, I usually never have the same stylist. But everyone I've had has treated me with care. They are a little pricey but you'll get a better hair cut than a cheaper place! read more

I was able to get in as a last minute appointment and got Heidi as my stylist. Earlier that day I received a horrible haircut (not at that salon). Heidi was great at listening to what I thought was wrong and she came up with a great new outcome. I have long hair and lots of it! She was able to save most of the length and get my hair back in line. I came in with horrible layers making me look like I had dog ears and some really bad extensions (I don't really have extensions). I left looking and feeling much better! During the hair service we began talking about make-up. She proceeding to grab product and providing a mini lesson on how to do make-up and talked me through each step.
