Disappointing. Curt service, impolite, dirty nail carts, and my manicure was done while my toes were drying and while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I went to check out the new store front in wheat ridge on a Sunday afternoon. Apparently a wedding party was there which was fun. There was a DJ and champagne and the music was thumping. The decor and the setup was hip and organized. I was greeted immediately and I requested a mani/pedi. Good so far. I picked out my polish and sat in the chair. The pedicure was quick and efficient. My attendant was neat and he had strong hands for the massage. I asked that my ingrown nails be taken care of and he clipped down the side of my toe and cut them! I'm used to my other nail salon coaxing then out and filing down the side and removing and skin impacting the ingrown. I'll have to see how much it will hurt when they grow back. The cart was dirty so that left the cleanliness of the tools suspect. After my toes were dug into I didn't see the used tools get disinfected or cleaned or anything. My manicure was done in the chair. I had scooted my butt forward and the chair pad dislodged from the chair base. After that the massage no longer worked. My tech went to work on another party and I was left in the chair for 20 minutes with no check backs after my tech put banana slippers on my feet. I finally just went up to the front desk to pay. I waited. Waited. Finally my guy came up and I paid. No thank you, no good bye. Not the pampering I'm used to having. I tip very well for good service because I'm appreciative. Too bad. read more

Super unimpressed. Went in for a pedicure ( 1st time here) the guy performed the service so quickly. It was far from thorough. The under side of my nails were never cleaned and my feet were never massaged only the calves- half heartedly. From the time I walked into the door to out of it was probably 30 minutes. Very disappointing, will definitely not be returning. For reference I did the sexy leg pedicure + shellac, definitely not the cheapest one. This is the cleanest salon I have been to in memory. Even though they are new there are clearly no 'new jitters' and they are extremely professional and good at what they do (I just got a manicure and am looking forward to trying pedicure services next time). Worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received. I came in from out of town for a wedding and needed to get my nails done beforehand. My shellac manicure is lumpy, patchy and all around my finger nails. My pedicure still has my old blue toenail polish showing through. I accidentally tripped on my way out to my car and I came in to get my nails fixed. The technician did not take off my original nail polish and instead just filled it in. I now have a giant dip in my big toe. Worst of all I have no time to get them fixed and the owner won't reimburse me. Buyer beware. Unfortunately this salon has gone very downhill. The last few services I had were less than ideal. Recently, the nail tech completely forgot to file one of my hands and didn't put on a top coat of shellac so my nails looked different on each hand. However, the worst experience was when I went in last week to have my shellac removed. I told the greeter that I was willing to wait since I was a walk in and that I was in no rush. He insisted that I have my service done by one of the techs even though her next appointment was in 5 minutes. She was so rushed that she didn't let my nails soak and drilled them all down, ruining my nails and not even getting all the polish off. Now my nails are completely brittle and broken. I brought my elderly dad in this afternoon for a manicure pedicure. The tech that took care of him never ran the water (?) She finished the entire appt in 30 minutes. Needless to say - $57.00 for two procedures that she spent less than 30 minutes on is a disappointment. I didn't want to get into it with my dad standing there. He's not able to communicate due to a stroke four years ago and if I seemed unhappy it would have spoiled the experience for him. In Florida I took him every month for an hour long appointment for mani pedi that was $40.00 with a $10.00 tip. It was $50.00 well spent. I came for a pedicure and eyebrow wax, I have been here many times without issue but today the waxer blew on the wax- in my face! - to cool it down. She did not wear a mask and seemed oblivious to why this was upsetting. The guy doing my pedicure is sniffling and wiping his nose, did not have sanitized nail equipment all of his tools were on top of his cart in bins not the sanitized packages they usually use and then he began filing the top of my toe nail (which I have never seen or had done and I asked him to stop) then he cut my toe while clipping dead skin. I walked out without having my pedicure completed and told who I assume to be the manager what happened and no apology or recognition. If I could post less than one star I would. The little scum bag manager gives the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I called to see when to come in because I know Sunday's are busy and his words are " you can come in any time after 11:45 I'm pretty busy this morning." Never took my info or got me booked, so I was under the impression he could take me this afternoon. I'm a new mom and cleared my whole afternoon and got a baby sitter, to show up at 12:30 and be told "you must have called another location I didn't say that I have a 1:15 now" he argued with me in front of another customer behind me and he turned us both away. Leaving after a waste of my time and I hit redial on my phone and whata ya know, it's the same exact place that just turned me away. I advised the manager of that and hung up. He then called me back to Harass me saying "oh now I remember I remembered your call when you left did you just call and hang up on me". I didn't leave you basically shoved away my business and if I ended our call that's my business. Don't you dare call me back to argue with me further. My husband thankfully took his return call and told him how disgusting and unprofessional that was as a business owner. I would never give my business to someone who treats there customers like this, especially since the work is lack luster and the place is not clean. Went in to get a dip manicure. Within 4 days 3 nails came completely off. I went back in and explained how 3 nails came off and that I could see the other ones were beginning to come off also. Had them redo all of them which I could tell they were annoyed with. Within 4-5 days again 2 more chipped and came off. Got a gel manicure (even though I just wanted a gel polish change) and 5 of my nails chipped within 3 days. Called and told them the situation, they told me to come in, when I arrived I was told they just usually fix the damaged nails, which they did. 1 day later one of my original nails that didn't chip previously has chipped. Gel polish seems very thin/flimsy, and kind of annoyed that it obviously seems like an issue with the color or possibly the brand of gel polish in general and now in 3-4 more days my nails will likely chip again. I think this place is great. It is clean, large, and the price is right. Techs - it really depends who you get, but I've been there twice and have been very happy each time. I get a basic ped and shellac mani, it lasted for 4+ weeks! So products are quality. They also lay out their color wall with the matching non-shellac color so your toes can match your nails! Blue Sky is a spacious, stunning space with gorgeous floors, artsy accent walls and a ton of brand-new chairs. Secondly, they have a massive selection of polish and dip powder, so I won't be bored anytime soon. Thirdly (that's a word?), their technicians are both talented artists and friendly conversationalists. This salon is new and huge and beautiful, and my nail tech couldn't have been nicer. I got the Blue Sky Deluxe (hot stone) pedicure with a manicure. The service was relatively quick and routine. Manicure was done while I sat in the pedicure chair, and both hands were done from the left side (I held my arm across my body to get my right hand done). This salon is out of my way, so I don't know that I'll go back, but if I do, I hope for a more relaxing and pampering experience. The place definitely has potential. read more
