So, I had read most of the reviews and fully expected a good massage. I was not disappointed, I had a great massage! Frankie was my therapist for a 90 minute sports massage. A little background on me - I am 68, overweight but active and I probably get a deep tissue massage once every two weeks. It has been a stress relief, a proactive physical remedy and all around health benefit for 40 years. I have had massages in 20 different countries, most good, some really bad and a few really good. This massage, by Frankie was one of the best ever! She takes the time, off the clock, to ask the right questions. Then, when she starts the massage, she is so intuitive to know just the right things to do, adding stretching when needed. I felt like she worked on me for two hours. It was truly amazing! The spa itself is simple, very clean and comfortable with a state of the art massage table. You could tell Frankie wanted to make a difference in my life. She wasn't just going through the motions. After a couple of tough hikes the previous two days I had my 1st message in 20 years. Matt gave me a deep tissue message that loosened up many muscles. I'm 64 and run, bike and swim back in Chicago. My upper leg muscles have been tight for at least 6 months and hiking added soreness. Matt did an amazing job and allowed me to hike Mt. Evans with almost fresh legs the next day. Matt communicated beautifully to keep the pain levels acceptable. Matt will adjust his approach given your needs and willingness to have discomfort to get amazing results. I did not write this until returning to Chicago to run 3 miles on my "new" legs. They continue to feel loose. I will visit Matt next time I hike Colorado. Amazing! I had a 60 minute Swedish massage and wow, it was the best massage I've ever gotten! The whole spa had a very comfortable and peaceful vibe. When I entered, I was greeted with essential oils and aromatherapy was used throughout the massage. I selected "medium" pressure and it was perfect! I was nervous if I didn't pay for the additional "deep tissue", it wouldn't be firm enough to work out my knots & tight spots, but I was wrong about that! The pressure was awesome & certainly got deep enough to relieve a lot of tension! She was very intuitive throughout the massage and quickly noticed any knots or trouble areas. I had already said I could not reschedule those days. They also asked for my CC info. to hold the appt. Now they have my CC info which I should have known NOT to give. I need to own that mistake. The masseuses are great, do a great job and (since I'm a talker) have great conversation skills. When you arrive, you're given slippers and taken to a quiet place where you can put your feet up and relax. They've also got cold flavored water. I've seen lemon and cucumber on my visits. My massage therapist was Matt and he was super awesome!! He knew exactly where my body needed attention and provided me with his healing touch.
