Today I had a little extra time and stopped in wellness massage. I was able to immediately get setup for a massage with Judy. I've had lots of massages over the years in different settings and this was hands down the best & most healing one yet. Judy listened to where I was needing relief and I was able to walk out 45 minutes later with noticeably improved range of motion and less tightness and pain in my shoulders and neck. I was visiting for a few days and this location was walking distance from my hotel. I was helped right away when walking in. I got a 30 min foot massage and 30 minute back massage for $45. This is a double up review because me and my husband both went to get a massage. Mine was good-- more like four stars. His was mediocre at best-- maybe 2 stars. So this rating is somewhere in the middle. The biggest challenge for this place is that they dont speak English. The menu to order services is laminated so that you can select your service. But if you want to specify anything beyond that, best to Google translate and show them. Even then though, it is a crap shoot. My massage was a good combo of deep tissue and pressure points. Only wish she had spent less time on my butt and more time on my feet. The high point was the scalp massage. My husband on the other hand didnt really fit on the table-- so tall guys beware. This meant he was uncomfortable to begin with-- plus the massage therapist didnt focus on his neck which is what he asked for-- probably due to the language barrier. read more

I tried out this massage spot as I read some great reviews here on Yelp. I went for lunch as I had a crick in my neck and really wanted some relieve. I did the $35 combo back and feet and it was terrific. The place was very clean and not seedy and my massage was really top notch. I have been getting massage for past 20 years and it was comparable to the top asian massage places I have been too. The price was unbeatable as I have had much worse massages for 3X the price. So my sister and mom and I went there for a quick massage. My sister and mom had great things to say about their masseuses, saying that their massages were amazing. Mine was the worst I have ever had: he had no idea what was doing and was rubbing his groin back and forth on my arm. I've had plenty of massages and usually I understand when you have to touch and where, but that was extremely disturbing and he kept rubbing my neck down so I couldn't lift my head. Was in Boulder, Colorado and long overdue for what I call Chinese massage. It's a combo of reflexology & shiatsu massage. The place was clean and the staff nice. 30 minutes is spent on the feet and the front part of the body. The other 30 minutes you are taken to a room to get on a table for the back massage. Note: If you're looking for a pamper day spa, this place isn't for you. This is a true Chinese foot massage place meaning pressure is pretty intense and then work on a lot of pressure points. The space is not private and typically you're separated by a curtain from other guests. With that being said, it was one of the best Chinese massage places I've been to. Biggest waste of time. I actually had the person stop In the middle of the massage so I could tell them I didn't want the full 60 minutes. I could only take about 20 more minutes. Had I done exactly what I wanted I would've asked the lady to stop touching me immediately. I was annoyed and in genuine pain that I needed someone to help me with. I'm a big fan of foot/body massages! Originally, I frequented these popular places while living in Los Angeles for over 10 years. The owner, Jana, runs a similar shop in Littleton which I frequented a lot when I lived there; and since moving to Boulder, I encouraged her to open one here and she just opened it last week! She is very friendly, knowledgeable and cares about her clients. Most of the therapists are from China where this kind of therapy is regularly practiced; Jana does speak English where as another competitor here does not which makes is challenging to communicate what you want. Not here! The main room is situated with reclining comfortable chairs; where you first sit, feet in a large wooden bowl filled with hot water as the therapist massages your head, neck, and arms. Next, comes a glorious foot massage. Afterwards, you are moved to a semi-private room where, you lie on your stomach on a long massage table. All of the massage is done with your clothes on; it is more of a pressure point, deep tissue/shiatsu type of massage. If you prefer more of a full body massage with oil, there are many options listed to cultivate a massage that works best for you. It is super reasonable; the basic 30 min foot/30 min body is $35.
