Staff- Sierra was great for the sound immersion We had to figure out the locker lock on our own no instructions in the room or from staff. We also educated 3 more women on how the locks worked. We used the call button on the salt room twice and no one started the therapy until I physically found someone to do it. Women's locker room has one toilet one shower and 2 sinks and one small bench no real changing area, women stood in line for use of facilities. Massage was really good. For the size of the facility too many people are allowed in It is clean and doesn't smell moldy. read more

This was my first time here. I came with my daughter and friend for a girl's spa day. We booked one of us in massage, the other two in the spa area and then switched. They have their own parking! That is a huge deal for me going to Boulder. We were welcomed in and given our robes, towels and slippers. All we had to bring was our swim suits. They went over the locker room, lockers, spa area and when each of us needed to be outside the massage room before our respective appointments. My daughter got deep tissue massage, my friend and I both got Swedish. Randy was my massage therapist. He was great! I would request him again. I felt like jell-o by the time I was done. The spa area had a rainforest shower, cold plunge pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub and salt room. I started with the rainforest shower. I had never been in a salt room, so that was a must try. There was a button to call a staff member to turn on the mechanism for the room. Not sure what it did, but I could taste the salt in the air when I entered. The light through the salt blocks was quite relaxing. After that my friend and I sat in the hot tub until it was time for us to have our massages. We all were quite relaxed when we were done. Salt room These services are in the large room that has a lot of traffic due to their monthly membership The massage I had was amazing Rachelle explained everything and was very good so that part was great The bad. Unorganized at the front. Didn't explain anything to us as far as locker use or times and recommendations for the services in the big room. The place is too small to have all of the services they have. They need more square footage No toilet paper in the bathroom and they were out of sandals. I had to wait which is fine for sandals but I had to ask again as they never brought them The whole experience seemed odd to me for a spa A good spa but if you want pampering this isn't the place for you For the prices they need to step up their game when it comes to servicing and pampering of their guests read more

When I booked my massage at Dragontree - I thought I was just going in for a massage and spa visit. A few days before my actually appointment - I strained by back (SI joint) while working out. I let Hanna, my assigned masseuse, know and she skillfully worked to help the natural healing process by massaging the area and the interconnected muscles. Beyond the pain relief the massage provided, Hanna shared the 'physiology' behind what she suspected was the source of my pain and explained to me ways that I could continue the healing after the session was over. I actually had not heard of a "SI Joint" before the session. She recommended reference materials I could consult and wrote them on a card that was waiting for me after I finished the spa visit. I really appreciate how she went above and beyond to ensure I continued to recover from my injury - it truly exceeded my expectations. I felt like the facilities and services were mediocre yet priced high. The foot soak was just a bowl of warm water, no massage, no detox. The couches to sit on for the head, neck, shoulder massage were dirty and not sanitary. I have no idea how many other heads have been on there. Before my appointment at the Dragon Tree, I hadn't had a massage in over a year. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage and an aromatherapy foot bath. The massage was amazing. The therapist checked in a couple of times regarding the pressure, which was great because I was able to give him feedback and that made the massage perfect. After my massage, I was led to the foot bath room. This room was so cozy with a lot of big chairs. The foot bath was pretty heavenly. I chose the milk foot bath. They fill the hot water as much as you'd like so you really get to control the temperature. It was a relaxing add on to my massage. The whole experience was exactly what I needed. read more

I first visited Dragontree Spa to attend a free lecture about the "Facets of Eating for Vibrant Health & Optimum Weight" led by the spa's co-owner Dr. Peter Borten. The lecture was captivating and the space was to die for. The couches/chairs were plush and the room was beautifully decorated and calming. This lecture was the 1st in a series of 4 (I definitely recommend visiting the spa's FB page for information regarding the upcoming lectures and of course the daily spa specials). As the spa was running a special last weekend for any service I decided to take a look at their Specialty Facials. Now a little background about me, I've had one facial (Groupon deal from before I was familiar with Yelp) and let me just say I left worse than when I arrived not to mention insulted by the aesthetician (Oops I'd been using my Clarisonic incorrectly - not a cardinal sin last I checked). I decided to give Dragontree a shot and the "No-Nonsense Men's Facial" looked the best for me (I'm not so much into the sitting in a dark room alone with my face covered and listening to calming music) so I booked. Let me just say I was a bit nervous going into my appointment. Not 10 minutes after I arrived I was checked in, donning a super soft robe, and relaxing with a foot bath, with a buckwheat wrap upon my shoulders (warm of course), and a cold IPA in my hand (did I mention the Men's facial comes with a complimentary local beer?!). Emily and Laina did an excellent job of making me feel pampered but not smothered. I was more than ready for my facial after my tootsies were pampered and my thirst had been sated (oh, yeah there was also tea & water ). The facial was luxurious (Lisa was so gentle and efficient - I had no idea extractions could be so pleasant!). After I had been thoroughly pampered I retreated to the restroom/locker room for a luxurious shower & blow dry (they even had a diffuser! and great hair products at my disposal) before taking my relaxed rejuvenated self out to the reception desk. When I arrived I found a nice note from Lisa with some samples of recommended products - so nice. Really an awesome experience! I can't wait to go back! On April 8th, I booked a couples massage appointment for my parent's 30th anniversary on May 4th, so I booked this appointment a month in advance. Nowhere on their website did they say they would be moving locations. On Friday, April 19th, they contacted me saying they were moving locations and that my parent's appointment had to be moved 15 minutes later since the online booking system was still for their Pearl St. location. I was okay with this because 15 minutes later isn't that big of a deal, plus my parents could enjoy the extra amenities. However, I tried to look up their new address, and it was nowhere to be found, not on Google or their main website. At this point, there was still no note about location changes. I thought it was okay though, because the receptionist was kind enough to text me the address of their new location. Then, they followed up on Sunday, April 21st, saying that the "couples massage" would NOT be in the same room, so it's two separate massages happening simultaneously. This was disappointing to hear, but I was also okay with it because as long as my parents could enjoy a massage simultaneously on their 30th anniversary, being in different rooms didn't matter. Now, on Thursday, April 25th, they're calling me and telling me they need to reschedule my parent's entire appointment because their new location's opening date has changed to May 8th. I decided to cancel their appointment. Overall, the receptionists who called me about all of these changes were pleasant. Despite all the changes, they tried their best to be positive and friendly. My issue is that when I initially booked this appointment as a present for my parent's 30th anniversary, there was no notification on the website as to the location change. I see they have just recently updated their website that they are moving locations, but I would have preferred a notice before or during the booking. I appreciate that they communicated with me after I booked the appointment, but the multiple changes make me feel like they are unreliable as a business. I understand location changes can be a long and tedious process, but as a customer, I continuously received bad news after bad news from The Dragontree Spa which is really disheartening. After so many changes and trying to be flexible, I don't want my parents to have to deal with this business until they have settled into their new location and become more reliable. read more

The service was great but it was extremely expensive for the limited amenities that are provided (only one single bathroom, super small changing room.... that's about it besides the small steam room which is located in the changing area). Upon arriving half the limited lockers were not prepared with a robe or slippers and so I was searching for one that was either unused or had the needed stuff, all the while having to say excuse me to 3 people tightly packed into a 5' x 5' space. A facial cost me, after tip, almost $200 which considering I could get a similar, if arguably a better facial with a spa that had more room, and able to spend more time (and an actual physical place) relaxing, etc. Ironically enough there was a sign at the counter that said they increased their prices 3 days before mine, regardless way too expensive to begin with. Also, the "snack" provided (mixed nuts) was empty, womp womp. The woman who did my facial was very nice and knowledgeable! Her name is Carolyn and I highly recommend her, however I will say that I had a noticeable white head on my chin that was not extracted... but! She was very nice :) The cost of purchasing face products is laughable, you'd get a similar product at half the cost at Sephora or Amazon so I'd avoid that trap if you decide to go. Don't forget it's on Pearl street so there is only paid street parking or paid garage parking, which was only $3 but it added to the annoyance factor. read more

The Dragontree Spa gives you an amazing spa experience. If you're a first timer, you'll need to fill out the forms on their iPad. I wished it was old fashion pen & paper. But I guess they didn't want to retype it into their database. My iPad didn't work so well; so it was frustrating to try to fill it out with the iPad. Then they lead you to the back room, where it's dark, quiet, and relaxing. They lead you to the men's or women's locker rooms. They also give you a robe to change into. The locker rooms are cool. They have a steam room, your own locker, a shower, and a toilet. The lockers are locked by programming your own key, like in a hotel. The steam room was small. Luckily, it seems like not many men go to this spa, at least on the day and time I was visiting. So I had the whole steam room to myself, which was nice. Sitting in there felt relaxing. I recommend hanging out in the steam room for a few minutes after your massage. I got the massage with the CBD oil. My massage therapist did a good job. I asked for firm pressure, and she did fine. I think she could've used more pressure, but it still felt good and relaxing. Once you're done, you get changed and come back out to the front to pay. When you pay, the massage therapists has special "gifts" to you. Well, they looked like gifts; instead, they were products they were trying to sell you. That was a little annoying. I think I even recall the therapist mentioning she has something out for me at the front. So it looked and sounded like a gift. Imagine my disappointment when I had to pay for them. Other than the small sales-job at the end, I liked my massage and the entire spa. I would recommend anyone who needs a good spa experience to visit Dragontree Spa. read more

I booked a couples CBD massage here while visiting family in Boulder for the holidays. My bill also included about $70 worth of retail product I picked up. The Good: Beautifully decorated space and their muscle melt liniment oil is great. The Bad: As for the experience - the steam that comes included in the massage wasn't even on. I was up-charged for deep tissue when I said I liked heavy pressure, which would have been fine had the massage actually been deep tissue. It was more an inconsistently firm Swedish, at best. The Worst: I had hoped to cover a part of my nearly $400 tab with an amex gift card. The girl at the front desk ran the amex gift card, told me the available balance, but said that "it didn't work" so she'd need to charge the full amount to my Mastercard. Not a problem. I get back to Austin, Texas and try to use my amex gift card - come to find out Dragontree DID charge the amex for it's remaining balance of $71.66, AND charged my Mastercard the full amount. Emails with Becky, the manager, we not fruitful in getting refunded the portion they double-charged me. She initially apologized for their error, then back-tracked a couple emails later saying they actually didn't have record of charging my giftcard, only that they swiped it and it declined -even though I attached the balance sheet from Amex showing $71.66 was deducted from Dragontree. I'd avoid this place for it's mediocre service, poorly trained desk staff, and despicable business practices. read more
