Jace was great! Sweet, professional, explained every step. My face felt super smooth and I was very refreshed at the end. The face massage was heavenly! read more

A total rip off! I purchased a signature facial AND the advertised 'virgin' 30 minute facial. After the discount, I paid $90 and expected that I would get more service but all I got was a 30 minute promotional facial. A full price regular 60 minute facial at most salons cost $100-$120. I even asked the person at the front desk and she said that I had received what I had paid for. Never again!! read more

I might have just had a weird experience where one of the girls actually scrubbed my face off. I felt like for the low price it is what it is, but the ingredients concerned me after getting the facial and had to repair barrier after. read more

This is a beautiful, clean, well-appointed place. The products smelled lovely and left my skin feeling really nice. My appointment was with Rachael. She was pleasant and skilled - I couldn't ask for better service. There's an underground Boulder city parking garage just a short distance away or you can swing by while out for a walk on the mall. This place is just a really nice way to treat yourself and I highly recommend it! read more

Love this place! Went in today for a facial and it was such a relaxing and pampering experience. The cleansers, toner and post treatment lotions/SPF were selected specifically for me. If you've been a client for several years (like me) you'll notice a few changes in decor. While there is new ownership the staff and service are still top notch! Parking is no trouble either - there's garage parking just across Broadway and free 2-3 hour street parking just a few blocks into the neighboring neighborhoods. read more

CYDF is a great place for quick facials! I have seen several wonderful people here & have never had a bad facial. The best by far has been Morgan! Will definitely be going back to see her again. Treat yourself & go clean your dirty face!! read more

I had a great 30 minute facial here as part of a Yelp event. I hadn't heard of them prior, but learned this location has been here for 5+ years and rebranded to CYDF. The check-in process was pretty quick. There's a form to fill out asking about your skin-care needs and skin-type (dry, oily, acne prone, etc) to ensure you get the care & products that are right for your skin-type. There are ad-ons for a fee and I decided to do the Aqua Collagen Eye Pads for $10 which I'm glad I did. The place itself isn't very big, but it's bright, open, and felt very clean. I didn't have to wait long and it seems they get a good amount of foot traffic so you're in and out without much waiting around. The chairs are set up in one room like a hair salon, but not crowded. I mention this because if you're looking for more of a relaxing, meditative setting this isn't that. It's a fun vibe with great music and upbeat energy. Your head is back and your eyes are closed so it's still relaxing, just in a different setting. Lexy was awesome. She started with asking how my skin has been feeling and tailored the products she used to help with some inflammation and breakouts I've been having. She explained everything in detail with each step (there was about 5-6). She started with some steam and then it was a mix of cleaning, exfoliating, moisturizing, massage, warm towel wrap, oil, and SPF. The products are made with essential oils and I loved the aromatherapy aspect of the facial, especially the lemon scent. It was relaxing and felt longer than 30 mins. The ice roller was rejuvenating & offset the warm steam nicely. All in all, it was a great experience and my skin was vibrant and felt super refreshed. It's the perfect spot if you're looking to get a quick facial for a night out or just need that pick-me-up that won't break the bank. Prices are pretty reasonable and they offer deals and packages. As for the area, there's parking along Broadway for a fee and an easy walk from Pearl St. read more

I've been here now twice ~3 weeks. I came here first for a Yelp Elite event, and had some hypopigmentation from using a strong retinol and had been breaking out. I bought their Savasana toner and Dancer face oil after their Hey Handsome special facial. I came back after experiencing some breakouts again. Above and beyond service: I was late for my first appointment and they were patient with me and recommended that I come back to get the full experience. My make up appointment I was super early and they accommodated me. My "skin boss" got sick for my second appointment and they quickly found someone to step in. I added the virgin bundle. Amazing results: My skin has been SO much happier. My hypopigmentation is nearly all gone and my breakouts are more under control. I am grateful to Lexy and Rachel for getting my skin back together! read more

I highly recommend getting a facial! Lindsey was wonderful and explained every step along the way. I was so relaxed. She gave me advice about my skin concerns. Great location right in downtown Boulder. The staff was very nice and helpful. Currently you can check into Yelp for a discount on your first facial! read more

The person that did my facial did a good job but I was most disappointed that a facial with two add ons was over in 30 min.

I've been scared to get a facial after a traumatic experience a few years ago but CYDF allayed any fear that I had. Lexy is awesome, highly intelligent, skilled, thorough and communicative. My skin feels and looks fantastic. I bought the unlimited package after two months of returning regularly... Haleigh will help you find the right package and apply all of the appropriate discounts possible to make this not only wonderful but affordable. Already booked an appointment for my sister, my mom and my husband! Check it out-- highly recommend. read more

After my appointment I had here today, I really can't recommend this place enough! I had my appointment with "Lexy," and she was AWESOME! Just the nicest person, and so knowledgeable as well. When I booked an appointment for just 30 minutes I was skeptical that would be enough time for me to actually relax, but I walked out of my appointment feeling totally refreshed! I'll definitely be coming back here read more

Amazing! I have had quite a few facials and had been regularly going to a spa in Denver until I found this place! I don't get to go into Boulder very often, so I was a little intimidated about the whole finding parking situation, but the location of this place has made it so easy. They are located on a corner and have a bright hot pink sign out front so you literally cannot miss it. There is ample parking in front of their building and about a block down as well. It's park-n-pay, but since the facials here are 30 minutes, you don't have to pay very much. The best thing about this store is they are open on Sundays! Not only that, but parking is free on Sundays :) When you first walk in, you are greeted right away. The waiting area is very bright, clean, and well organized. Since the decor is primarily white, your eyes are immediately drawn to the large display of retail products for sale. The products are all encased in fun colorful boxes. The esthetician greets you and brings you around the corner where there are 2 white plush dental-type chairs. She asks about your skin, skincare routine, products you are using, etc. She then assesses your skin to determine which products to use that day. Next is where the pure bliss happens! So far, I've been twice and they are hands down the best facials I've ever had! So incredibly relaxing and wonderful. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy when it comes to products or add-on services. They offer really nice packages as well. I signed up for the monthly unlimited package, which gives you 1 facial every week. It's $110 a month and you can cancel any time. You also get discounts on any upgrades as well as products for being a member. read more

Update: was offered a redo with Lexy and she was amazing. She explained everything she used as she did it. She seemed to care a bit more than the other tech. It was a fast, efficient way to get your facial done. The store has a casual but professional vibe, super cute store front that is modern and cheeky. The facial itself is good for the price. They clean your fast after the steamer, and tailor the remaining process to your skin's needs. I have sensitive, acne skin and Sophia did a good job at gently exfoliating and hydrating it thoroughly. It was an enjoyable experience. I like the products they used, they didn't break me out or give me rashes. I took 1 star off however.... It felt a little rushed before and after my appointment because they are pretty packed up. But otherwise, a good place to get a quick, affordable facial done. read more

Had an amazing facial here as part of a yelp opportunity! I am not very high maintenance so I am not an expert on these but it was sooooo relaxing. I have extremely sensitive skin so I don't use many products on my face. I mentioned my concern to my esthetician and I'm happy to report I had zero problems. Check in process was a breeze. I opted to add on an oxygen treatment and a tech neck massage. My esthetician was super knowledgeable and answered any questions I had on top of explaining every part of the process. I left glowing and relaxed! Thanks so much! read more

Great place and so cute. We had a mom/daughter event there and we both were treated to facials after an eventful weekend in Boulder. The owner brought in an extra set up to accommodate all the girls going in and everyone was so kind and helpful. Products were nice and smelled amazing. I bought my daughter an affordable monthly subscription so she can get a facial on the regular. read more

I found MudbuM on Groupon. It was newer, so I decided to do some research online. Although I did not buy the Groupon, they were offering a discounted facial online for new customers so I decided to give it a try. It was easy to book online, but it wasn't very convenient. At the time, they were only open late afternoons and had one person doing facials so the time slots were rare. I hate paying to park. It's one of those personal things, that really had no effect on my review. But it's on the Pearl Street Mall and parking was not easy. I mention this only for the reason that most of the time when I'm booking services I search on Yelp and see if a private parking lot is noted. Again, personal preference. But worth noting. The facial was a quick 30 minutes. My aesthetician did a great job. But it was QUICK. Everything is an add on and an additional expense. I felt like I could wash my face myself? I get facials for all the add ins and here anything additional is just that... additional money. Was it worth the discounted price? Yes. Is it worth full price? No. I am easily persuaded into buying merchandise and did buy a green detox mask for $40+ which I use often as recommended and do not see many results. read more

I just visited for a facial on Friday, and had a great experience. The studio was very clean and organized, all the products are natural, and they have a fun atmosphere. It's a totally different vibe then the typical spa facial, and a great place for people looking for the simplicity in improving their skin. The had fun music playing, and they make it an easy in-and-out process for those who don't want to spend half a day getting their treatment done. The prices seemed fair, and the facial massage was worth every penny. The staff chatted me through each and every product, it's benefits, and were very honest with me and my skin. Definitely recommend for those looking for help improving their skin without the complexity of a full spa treatment! read more

I liked their products and felt they were of good quality without a bunch of unnecessary ingredients and fillers. However, customer service was poor as I witnessed the heavy set lady who may be the owner or manager yelling at a customer and acting rude and inappropriately. Also, the "add-ons" aren't really that since they take the place of some steps in the regular facial in order to stay within their time frame so for such a short appointment I felt they were over priced read more

I came here with the "$40 for $50 Deal at Mud Facial Bar" listed here on this Yelp page to try out the infamous breast milk facial, and that was a mistake. I'm guessing they got it figured out now that I've spoken to the owner, but when we walked in with these deals it was like we had walked into a Michelin-starred restaurant trying to pay with food stamps. The college aged (but obviously not even kindergarten educated) girl at the front desk was asking us "what do I do with this?" and "how do I enter this in the system?"...I don't know lady...I don't work here. She was also just super rude and rolling her eyes the whole time. Worst case, I would have rather her politely declined to even accept my offer and make us pay the full price (and we could have argued with Yelp later to get a refund) than behave the way she did. The owner did take responsibility for the girl not knowing about the Yelp deal, but she should have staff that can be able to handle any situation...it really stressed us out and took away from our experience. After the initial fiasco, we were probably hypersensitive to the whole experience, but there was other odd things like having me put my keys/phone in a planter...which the owner explained to me they used as a cubby for things...weird, but ok. My other issue was the music they were playing had full-on use of the N word, F word, MF word...LOL. I'm not super sensitive to this stuff, but my mom would have ran out of the place! The facial itself was great...the cooling globes are amazing! Because my facial was so good, I was kind of relaxed toward the end of it. But here's where it gets WEIRD...when I go up to pay, not only am I asked out loud how much I want to tip, but after 5 minutes of fiddling with the computer, this gal is trying to charge me full price again. I was like "what about the Yelp deal?" and she looked at us as if we had lost our mind! At this point we had to laugh, because how could she forget the whole Yelp deal ordeal from 30 minutes ago - it was like I was in Finding Dory, but it wasn't cute. Can someone with good business sense open one of these in Denver? read more

Clean Your Dirty Face - Is it just me, or is this tacky in such an otherwise adorable place?! - Estheticians Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

My absolute FAVORITE way to treat myself and relax! Lexy does an awesome job with recommending the right enhancements for your facial experience and gives great attention to detail with your skin goals - short term and long term! Awful customer service, lack of transparency about pricing. It's a shame because the facial itself was good and the esthetician was kind.

My only complaint is that there is no 90 minute option... because it was amazing. The massage with the cold glass thingies felt great and absolutely worked to close all the good stuff in my pores. I love CYDF! So glad my mom and I found this super fun, clean, beautiful facial bar. I joined as a member after my first visit, and couldn't recommend more highly. Coming in every week or so for a refreshing and cleansing facial has been amazing for my skin. It feels like such a wonderful self-care treat, and has given me great insights into skin care and a good routine for my skin type. The employees are fabulous, all so caring, attentive, helpful and kind. I've had facials with Sammy, Bella, and Mollie and all of them are incredible. The front desk staff has always been welcoming and accommodating, and the owner Valerie is also super sweet! Not to mention, you can't beat the pricing whether you go for membership or facial packages. If you're looking for a facial, you have got to check this spot out. Location is awesome right near free 2 and 3 hour parking or paid street parking right out front. I always leave feeling refreshed and way better than when I walked in. I cannot live without my monthly breastmilk facial! I also cannot believe the backlash this place is constantly getting for advertising that they offer a breastmilk facial (breaking their glass window where the sign was... really?) Stop jumping to conclusions and maybe ask where they get it from! If you do not understand all the amazing benefits breastmilk has for your skin, maybe you should educate yourself before being so nasty or actually being destructive to someones property. AND if you're that repulsed by the idea of breastmilk on your face, you know what you could do, NOT get the breastmilk facial, or just not do business here! That sucks for all the people that are too closed minded to try something new that they maybe don't understand. Keep using your Cetaphil facial products and be sad. I HIGHLY recommend at least trying the breastmilk facial. You would never know there was breastmilk in the soothing lavender-scented masque until they told you :) read more

This place is legit. Facials last 30 minutes and I showed up 9 minutes late (after 10 they reschedule you, so plan extra time for parking!), and somehow she made it feel not rushed and I got a ton of treatments. She worked with what my skin needed, and it was dry and I had a breakout. She also found a way to massage my face the whole time so it was totally relaxing. I'm a huge fan of CYDF! Love everything about their facials - how easy it is to book online, options to add on masks or a neck and shoulder massage (ahhh!), the great location right off Pearl Street Mall next to Boulderado Hotel, and I have enjoyed every member of the team that I've met. They are talented, friendly, and every facial I've had has left me refreshed and with perfectly clean, toned skin. I've also had the chance to meet Valerie, the owner, who is so kind and committed to ensuring all of her guests enjoy their experience. Sammy and the staff at MudbuM are phenomenal. I was looking for some pampering while vacationing in Boulder. Being a guy, I was nervous about getting my facial as it was only my 2nd time getting one. I was amazed at the knowledge that Sammy shared with me regarding skin care and products that would be benefit me. I didn't know there was so much to learn. The personalized service I received went above and beyond what I'm used to. Can't thank Sammy enough for helping me feel like a brand new person. Facials will now be a regular part of my self care!!!
