This is one of the cutest places I have been. Although I have not used any of their facial services, everyone at this location is very courteous and professional. From making appointments to checking out, it has all been very easy. I come here strictly to get Botox from Rachel. She works at both the Boulder and Denver locations. While I can not comment about their services , I wanted to pass on my experience. First, no parking. I was sent a confusing text regarding parking in another retail center. Second, I made my appointment, their staff changed the time and I missed it. We rescheduled for 9am the next morning. I drove all the way in from Loveland and when I arrived I saw a text that my appointment was AGAIN changed to 2:15. I have been to many spas across the world and have never been treated so poorly. Recently stopped by this location while staying at the Hilton and was pleasantly surprised. This type of stop in spa does not exist where I live and I thought it was a fun idea to try out and also to treat my daughter to her first facial as a nice way to relax during a stressful time and being busy with school. The woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful and fit us in together the same day despite it being a tight squeeze. I liked the half spa type thing they have going on, change your top but keep your pants on. The facial I received, the signature, wasn't as lux as other facials I've had but for the price I thought it was great. My only real issue was the lighting, when you're laying there trying to relax having a bright light overhead for the entire experience makes it difficult; at one point I had this lovely heavy mask on which finally darkened my eyes and was very literally in pain when it was removed due to the brightness of the lights on my eyes which had adjusted to darkness and my eyes started tearing due to the pain. Please, DIM THE LIGHTS! More spa like music would be nice too but I didn't really mind the Hozieresque music they had on. My daughter has dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and we went with the clear skin facial which is only 45 minutes but she didn't have much to say about it after other than "it was nice" so I'm not sure we got the impression and relaxation I was hoping for, she did also mention the pain of the bright lights in her face while laying on the table. Over all I really enjoyed my experience, it's a great option when you don't want to dedicate half your day to the spa, my tech Mo was very kind and skilled and I really enjoyed the time she spent working on my tight jaw muscles. I went there about a couple of months ago and honestly I normally have a better experience. I would highly recommend if you are going to get a treatment to state the name of the person you want doing the treatment. They have this "alchemy lash lift apprenticeship person for a discount" thing. I normally go to one professional woman, but I did NOT ask for the apprenticeship. The apprenticeship ruined my lashes for these two months (some lashes even fell out) and for the normal 70 dollars, they charged me 65. Ouch. I've been coming to Alchemy for Botox for years and I went for my regular appointment last Thursday. I woke up on Saturday morning with blurry vision and pain in my right eye, alchemy did basically nothing to calm my nerves and said this is a side affect of the Botox, I will never get Botox again because of this experience and will definitely not come to alchemy. I had to go to the optometrist this morning in order for my vision to go back to 20/20. I also now have one eyebrow that raises more than the other. Went once, here's my take: The front desk snooty. They acted as if you didn't just walk in with five of them standing there talking. We interrupted their convo --Not warm. Very cold check out with a passive aggressive remark. Clinician was way too talkative and mentioned her time in the business at least four times with an almost chip on her shoulder as to why she's not somewhere better. It has value, it's a little less expensive -however do you really want to be in a bullpen having a facial? Not worth the savings. To start, I knew that I would not make it in time and called ahead to make sure they could accommodate me. I ended up being 7 mins late due to a tree being downed by a freak windstorm that happened within the past hour today. When I arrived, the esthetician rushed me back (understandable but a bit dramatic ). She was being a bit rude a rough. I get that she was running a little bit behind b/c I was late, but she could have rescheduled me. She put cleanser on my brows that filled my eye area and stung. I mentioned that it was getting in my eye as I wiped it away and she said nothing, but continued. So I realized that this woman was not paying attention and I did not feel safe continuing and I told her I needed to get up. I shared with the front desk that I did not feel comfortable continuing and I was met with, well you still have to pay. I did not receive a service. I got up b/c I was feeling unsafe by how the esthetician was acting. I will definitely not be returning. read more

Had an amazing Basic facial + Microderm with Morgan. She spoke in a soft and relaxing voice the moment she greeted me--which is key because the facial setting is pretty open. You will be like 4 feet away from another station, but they keep it so quiet and play soothing music. I changed into a towel and Morgan placed a warm blanket over me and asked if I wanted steam. She asked if I had any questions and whether I understood what microderm was. She took the time to walk me through the process, and even show me the instrument to soothe any concerns I had. I generally have pretty oily skin, with some dry areas. Other than some dark spots, I didn't have any major skin concerns, so I just wanted a refresher. My face was glowing afterwards, and I could notice details that I hadn't before. A few days later, my skin still looks good and my dark spots are still lighter. I think this is a wonderful place but I had a bad experience and I want others to avoid my mistake. I went to Alchemy for my first time getting waxed. I use topical acne medication daily that I would later find out would make my skin not suitable for waxing (even though I obviously do not apply the products under my eyebrows). Before my appointment, I signed the waiver and filled out the standard forms that are required. On these forms, I clearly indicated the medications I use. IF ONLY someone had actually looked at the form before I got waxed, maybe I wouldn't be in this position. I also wish I would have done more research. I'm really disappointed. I had a great experience but now I look ridiculous, and this could have been easily avoided. I learned my lesson, but better communication and attention to detail is needed on Alchemy's part. read more

***note I never leave reviews, but this situation was particularly irritating. I've come here once and didn't experience this. Went in for a full set of lashes. My esthetician Sarah was quite sweet and mentioned experiencing difficulty with attaching lashes due to the previous lash perm. (Booked preciously at the Boulder Alchemy Face Bar location) Noted that I should have been told to wait for the lashes to straighten naturally before booking the appointment. Offered to rectify the situation by charging a 1/2 set. Guess the front desk manager Bethany didn't agree so got discounted 15% instead. I wasn't thrilled walking out with lashes that weren't filled as much as I've received from other salons. I appreciate Sarah's candor + willingness to touch up, but I only have 48 hrs to see. Which I thought was short given that the lashes should last 3-4 weeks so if I saw them fall out with a week... feels like that would be enough to come back and get fixed. What was uncomfortable was getting a call immediately after my appointment from Bethany insisting that it wasn't the salon's fault for the unsatisfactory service. It felt so uncomfortable to receive an unprompted call to deflect blame onto a customer. read more

This place is heavenly. For so many reasons. Let me start with the ambiance... beautiful, natural sunlight and a friendly, professional staff. The aestheticians are well-trained and receive monthly education on services and products (I know. I asked). The music being played (yes- I'm picky about this as well) was relaxing and not too loud. This may sound silly, but there's nothing worse than getting a spa treatment and the music in the room is loud and you can't relax. Everything was perfect here at this spa. Spahhhh! I got the skin on my face dermaplaned today ($70) and my lashes curled and tinted (unsure of the cost). My aesthetician was Franny - so sweet, knowledgeable, and sincerely engaged with my skin goals. I will re-book with Franny in a few weeks for more dermaplaning and extractions. There was a fun bridal party going on during my appointment ... everyone was having a blast while they got their hair styled and make up applied. The bride was stunning, and they made her hair and make up (as well as her bridesmaids') like something out of a bridal magazine. As far as parking and location go... tons of parking. Easy to find. Coffee shop right next door. Just a few blocks away from the Pearl Street Mall. I will be scheduling more treatments in the near future at Alchemy Face Bar. Go see Morgan Higgins! I've seen a few staff members at Alchemy by booking whoever was available - had a good experience with them all and don't think you can go wrong - but Morgan has been my favorite! She is delightful, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Extractions are always not fun, but she was as gentle and sweet as possible. She also was very detailed and communicative when she gave me a lash and brow tint. I highly, highly recommend Morgan! Overall I love Alchemy. I love how my skin has improved since I started going in for facials and got advice. The cost isn't low, but I feel it is a good value, knowledgeable staff, and an investment in better skin. The online booking process is so easy. I don't love the single open room and it was a surprise to me when I first went. It makes sense for a more cost-effective space and the services do not require privacy, but I feel like I am disturbing others when I ask questions. FIRST TIMERS: I think it is good to know you'll be in a larger room with (I think) six other stations. For a facial you'll be asked to remove your shirt, pull down your bra straps, and put on a towel smock that wraps around under your arms. This is fine! But I first went in a dress and tights. I felt very uncomfortable in just my tights and the wrap around towel and wish I had known this advance, which is why I'm including this information in the review. Now I wear high waisted leggings in the winter, and a jumpsuit or sundress with easy movable straps in the summer, so that I feel more comfortable. I had a wonderful facial with Annie. When I went to change into my facial robe, they had written on chalk 'welcome to your facial Helen' so cute! As soon as I walked in, I felt relaxed and was greeted by the manager. Offered tea and water. I am in love with the Eminence product line that they use. I had heard about them from a friend, and Annie did a wonderful cocktail of ingredients. My skin felt amazing after, and she did a large amount of well needed extractions. I had the Clear Skin facial - though it included light extractions, she did way more, and didn't charge extra! I added the chemical peel and Ultrasonic. Words can not describe the amazing experience my mother and I had at Alchemy, but I'm going to try. I am a student at CU Boulder and there is no greater headache than move-in week. Between running back and forth from Target and Home Goods to the dorms (not to mention the traffic), my mom and I were in desperate need of some chill time. My go-to place for facial care and lashes. I've been coming her monthly since January and am always blown away by the service. EVERY person is so welcoming, nice and knowledgeable about skincare, lashes, and overall beauty treatment. I have to shoutout Kimberly and Anya as they are my regular girls - they are amazing!!! Pros: tea when you arrive, nice lighting, great music, eminence facial, nice esthetician, ok facial, cute jewelry, nice people Cons: you're in an open room for your facial with everyone else so there's no privacy (getting on a table with an oversized wrap makes it also hard to hide your lady bits), you hear everyone's conversations the whole time so you can't relax, booking online is confusing, they don't put sheets on the table so you're sticking to the plastic table, she didn't move the pillow so it was under my knees, she didn't put any products on my neck/chest like you're supposed to, I was surprised by lack of face massage. read more

I've always gone to the Alchemy face bar in Denver which is always a pleasant experience. This time, I decided to make an appointment online for the Boulder shop. I went in at my appointment time and then they changed the price on me once I got there (said they couldn't do the 20% off deal even though the website said it was going to be valid for two more days. Receptionist was pretty short as well. The physical ambience of the spa itself is nice and the lash artist did a good job, but this experience gives me a reason to not want to go back again. read more

I come here for Botox from Heather. She is a dream. So patient, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I'm new to Botox and am really enjoying it as a preventative measure against forming wrinkles (I'm 25), and have noticed that my fine lines are healing a little bit from the reduced creasing that comes as a result of Botox. I've been twice now and the first time, we were very conservative with my dosing and only used 16 units. It was wonderful while it lasted, which was only about a month and a half. The second time I went for 25, and I'm going on a month and a half again but much stronger. It may take a try or two to determine how much you need for results and longevity, but I've been really impressed and will continue to trust Heather with needles in my face. They currently charge $12/unit and help you create an Allē account which gives you discounts every time you come. I will say that I wish the price was maybe closer to $10/unit, but I think you do get what you pay for as the product doesn't seem diluted and you pay for expertise since you aren't really supposed to tip on medical services. read more
