My experience was physically and mentally horrific. I had Ellacor. Prior to this, I had Ellacor…read morewith a competent and skilled dermatologist, I was hardly phased by it and healed very quickly (had of of the same areas done on the body). In a sense, I naively thought that the technology had a built in safety profile. I developed flu like symptoms from all the areas that Holly did initially. I was left with a fine-mesh for skin. The pain was incredible. I quickly developed oozing, infected ulcerations in many of the hundreds of local anesthetic sites. I had lengthy back and forth emails with both Holly and the medical director who both seem to reflexively absolve themselves, and immediately and aggressively blamed me for not rinsing my skin enough, citing that I didn't follow pre procedure instructions or saying I wasn't doing post procedure skin care, or I took something. Obviously this was very disconcerting, leaving me feeling panicked and alone. All I was doing was skin care. My days were filled with skincare. My skin wouldn't hold moisture because the barrier was so damaged. I sent a picture to Holly which she pointed out the dressing saying THAT was a problem because it was an adherent, absorbent dressing. I immediately corrected her pointing out the sheen and shape and reminding her that in fact this is a specifically non adherent and non absorbent Telfa dressing, which she should be very familiar with. There was a lot of focus on me being the cause for my infection. I am a young and healthy person. Prior to this, I have only ever had mostly professional interactions with any type of medical or medical adjacent provider. I was not met with curiosity, but condemnation. The medical director, whom I have never met, suggested I see a professional in my area whether it be a skin doctor (his words) or psychiatrist. I did in fact go see a local dermatologist who happens to also be a virtuous person. He crossed his arms as he examined me, and was simultaneously horrified and dumbfounded. I told him that they blamed me for this and on what grounds (because I started believing I must have done something and I wanted his honest medical opinion) and he immediately rejected that accusation stating there there is nothing I did to cause this. I told him that Holly had told me that I must laser the area and she mailed me needles and serums, and he implored me not to do any of that. He told me to just let it heal. He treated me with antibiotics and follow up care which I'm still getting 9 months later. I'm so glad that I went to him and got his help. I also saw another dermatologist for his opinion during the immediate period. This particular dermatologist has extensive training during his residency in burns and scars and founded burn and scar center. He said to me on a phone consultation in a very dismissive tone that I did nothing to cause this and to never go back to this person again. He said he has seen this before and it looks like a type of burn potentially from an injected substance, but of course he can't say with complete certainty. Dr. Iannotti nor Holly recognized that I needed medical care urgently. The only recommendation I got from Holly was to immediately laser the area micro-needle along with poking the ulcerated wound beds with individual needles to induce wound healing. They sent very admonishing emails. My opinion is that Holly knows how to deliver the intervention which involves inducing injury in the form of tens of thousands of hollow cores of the skin, but does not have the proper medical training to manage the consequences, should they arise. Had I listened to her, my wounds would have festered. I challenged her with this, and she responded by saying that she attended medical school for 2.5 years before discontinuing and went on to say, she is "featured nationally and internationally. My team and I attend the International Master Congress on Aging Science in Paris each year. I've been recognized as a top provider in the state and the multi-state region for Ellacor." She did not have a proper consultation with me. I am out of state and she was unreachable even for a phone call, only texts. I made a mistake here. After this experience I googled the medical director to get his contact information. Many medical spas, reviews, and a mugshot came up. I couldn't find any contact information, so I contacted Holly for his information. Even with my oozing ulcers, she asked to handle it herself. My dermatologist told me that Ellacor should only be in the hands a very skilled physician. I trust him. He really rescued me from this nightmare.
