Therapist did not adjust the end time. So my 1 hour massage was actually just 40 minutes. -It was hard to communicate with my therapist. It seems she knows no English at all. She parroted common phrases without understanding responses. During the massage, my attempts to communicate were useless. She just plowed through a rough and frantic massage. - She added a four dollar charge without telling me. When I questioned this she brought out a small sign about credit card processing charges. Why was this sign hidden? It should be displayed and brought up before the massage. -Lots of drama about wanting a bigger tip. Why was she so upset? Do these people not know that a bad massage means a low tip or no tip at all? - There was a car parked in front of the door RIGHT ON THE SIDEWALK. Is this legal? Another woman said she would do Shiatsu but she only did two passes with her feet using the overhead bars - not much Shiatsu, just regular Asian massage with a lot of kneading which I don't like. No stretching my back which I've also had with Shiatsu. The woman who did my massage was in and out a couple of times tending to the door. Not sure it was the full 60 minutes. The worst part is that they have a sign suggesting you tip 25 - 30%. I got daggers after only tipping 20% after they mislead me on my appt, availability of Sherri and what I expect for Shiatsu. We were completely wrong. We walked in and were immediately ushered into our separate rooms. It was incredibly dark and there was no real greeting or conversation about what any focus areas should be. Then I I noticed that on the bed was all but a small towel that was to be used to cover myself while the massage was going on. Did I mention it was also dirty and stained? The masseuse comes in and just starts the session. He does a lot of pressing while the dry towel is on me but no actual massaging. Eventually, he draws back the towel, adds an excessive amount of oil and hardly massages. It honestly felt more like a back rub. I could go on, but ultimately it was a terrible waste of $70 ($60 + $10 tip) and 60 minutes. All it gave me were additional knots and funny stories to share with my boyfriend who was in the next room having a similar experience.
