I just had an amazing pedicure here. I really appreciate that there aren't any screens playing random videos. It's so peaceful and there are pretty succulents and fish. Instrumental piano music playing. I got a deluxe pedicure and it was truly lavish. Lots of extras and steps that elevated the experience like a heated neck pillow. I live right around the corner and haven't tried this place before bc of the reviews. I think the owner is quite direct and blunt but she was still professional to customers and to her employees while I was there. It was quick, unplanned and I came in, for long and overdue, mani and pedi; my goodness, it has been more than two decades+ I used to do nails and back-in-day, no skimming, no extra charges & cost(s) have come long way! My personal preference(s) are to have my cuticles, softened, pushed back, trimmed/cut and done; prior to applying polish & finishing up. Nowadays, they say, "no we do it later, we take care of it" meaning that they will do my 1st do dip and lastly, will push cuticles Feel, back in day, standard(s) of manicure, begins by placing one hand(s) at a time, in a bowl of warm water; applying cuticle softener and pushed cuticles back, cut them and then, begin to cut nails, file and shape; in general, it is part of details, all inclusive in doing manicure, without paying additional fees. of course, it wasn't until it was all done and ready to pay, I was told they needed to charge an extra $10! I've noticed, if more customers come in, chaos occurs and minor steps are missed/ignored. Plus, I was treated differently, after learning my ethnicity. Even after making the request(s), accepting their additional $$ add on(s), some -- "...beating dead horse?" Service was great and I loved my nails. I only rated with 3 stars because the owner was the most unfriendly person I ever met. The way she treated her employees was "Disturbing"...the way she looked at the employee was really scary! She yelled to her in front of me and even pushed her hand away (almost became like physical abuse, because for real it was emotional abuse). I have been three times and the service is very good. One of my gel nails chipped and I went in and the fixed it for free. I have never made an appt and they always get me in right away. They will help pick out colors and be creative. I went to get nails done for a friend's wedding and showed them my dress and they did an amazing job! ** I wrote this review and then decided to add to it a month later when my nails NEVER chipped. The worst nail salon that I have ever been too. I found this place from google because I am out of the state. First the nail lady made 4 of my fingers bleed even when I told her she was being too rough. Secondly, she was rushing throughout the whole process. First I will start off by saying that I'd pretty much stopped coming to this nail salon about 4-5 months ago. I only came in tonight as I couldn't get in for a nail appointment with my new nail tech at another salon tonight. I used to come here regularly last fall. Well, it's 6:30 pm and she is currently working on two ladies ahead of me. I've been waiting for 20 minutes and they just had me sit in a pedicure chair to soak my feet to start my pedicure. This is beyond irritating. Why Kim tells me she'll take me at 6:30 pm for my gel manicure, yet brushes me off and then has me sit and soak my feet just to buy more time, with no explanation or apology is not good customer service. It's unacceptable. This is her 3rd strike. This nail salon is OUT! Strike one - Earlier in January, she booked me for an appointment at 11 am on a Sunday, (before the salon opens). Well, I showed up a bit before 11 am and waited. Then at 11 am, I proceeded to wait. Kim didn't arrive until 11:40 am. She admitted she forgot she'd scheduled me, and then she took a client before me. Strike two - about three months ago, I booked an appointment with Kim in the evening after work. Again, (like today) she brushed me off and had someone else give me a pedicure at my scheduled manicure time. When my pedicure was done, she removed my gel nail polish, then advised me someone else would be doing my gel manicure while she took another client. The reasons I initially came here were: a) Kim - she does a fast and pretty good gel manicure. Probably the fastest I've ever had. b) Cost of gel manicure and regular pedicure is pretty inexpensive compared to other places. c) It's a quiet little nail salon. No television. Soft contemporary music in the background. The nail technicians don't carry a conversation and/or ask personal questions. Kim is actually very impersonal and lacks social graces. Pretty much to a great fault. Go elsewhere if you expect common courtesy and excellent customer service. read more

I love this place! Their prices are super affordable, and they do a fantastic job. I always get a shellac manicure, and I've never had anyone do better. I've paid three times as much in nicer salons but haven't received better service. The staff are friendly but not pushy. When I get my pedicure, I like to read my book in peace, and they don't bother me. The only thing I don't like about this place is that the massage chairs only vibrate. Most importantly, it's a very clean store and tools and tables appear to clean and sterilized. I went in for a acrylic rebase and gel paint. My manicurist, a very young lady, just graduated high school, did a nice and detailed job. With more experience she will be great. So I'm very disappointed, I am new to the area and this salon is really close to me house, so I thought I would try it. However the environment is very cold and uninviting. The young lady I had was not very nice. She rushed through my appointment like she had somewhere else to be and she was extremely ROUGH. This nail salon has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE i have ever experienced. I walked in with my little girls to get our toes painted. The lady told me $5 each. As i was checking out she says it will be $20, i asked why? She told me adult Polish was $10 :0 This is crazy! I had no polish on my toes, all she did was PAINT! No rub, nothing else! I liked that she focused on cleaning and filing my nails to make them pretty and clean instead of spending her time kneading me with lotion as some places do. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. When I walked in I had the worst feeling. The color selection is horrible; and, they put my hands in heating pads..??? While getting my nails cleaned up the lady cut two of my nails, and all of my fingers were throbbing and stinging. I don't even want to know what chemicals they were using. The tools weren't new and sterile - just used ones sitting in a solution... the nail clippers literally had rust on them. And last but not least, they definitely water down their nail polish. I waited for 40min while my friend was getting her pedicure. The owner kept saying "everything ok?" in an intimidating tone. I don't dare say anything I thought. Forty long minutes later my feet were like raisins from sitting in hot water for all that time. I get the new girl. She snipped and cut my cuticles, took a buffer, the same one she used on my friend, and put it to my heels and burned me. Waiting for my polish the owner, In her commanding voice told me to get up and sit at her chair! "What no flip flop ?" As I made my way across the sea of dead skin, snipped nails, and drilled nail fragments. I was disgusted! I asked for something to put my feet on. She blurted "it's fine." I watched the shuffling of people from one nail tech to another just amazed at the mismanagement of this salon, and unsanitary conditions. The entire time the owner barked at her employees like they were her slaves. You could see the disappointment in each employee face. If I could give this disgusting business 0 stars, I WOULD. This was a TERRIBLE experience. I walked in to get a mani/pedi/lip wax, and left with a "pedi", and half of a mani. My "pedi" took 65minutes, and that was not because of a luxurious massage or special treatment. It was because the woman who was performing the pedicure was new, and needed multiple people to walk her through the process and correct her work. This is not a problem, except that I should have been notified that this young woman was new and didn't know what to do. Additionally, eventually, they left her alone after the pedicure, and she had NO idea how to do a manicure. I am a licensed cosmetologist, a 28 year old woman, and this was not my first rodeo with subpar service. However, it was the first time that i have EVER left in the middle of a service because I thought that it was too painful, unsanitary, disorganized, and time consuming to stay. You see, when my "manicure" started, she immediately clipped my right nails. She clipped all 5 of my right hand, TWICE. Then, she filed the nails and started massaging my right hand. My left hand was just hanging out to dry. I never soaked my nails in water, she never cleaned up the skin around my right finger nails, and my left hand had not even been touched. OH, and the tool she was using? Was left out on the counter not placed in disinfectant. This really should go straight to DORA. Needless to say, no one was helping this young woman out. I highly doubt she is even licensed, and if she is, it is the shop's job to inform their clients AND to educate their staff members! After 80 minutes of a "pedi", and having 5 of my nails clipped, I just decided to leave. Once she started "massaging" my right hand way out of order, I knew something wasn't right. I was agitated, and told the manager that I needed to go. I also told the manager that she needed to help that young woman and teach her how to do a proper manicure service. Everyone has to learn, but this is just a poor reflection on the owners and management of the shop. To top it off, the store manager turned around and yelled at ME and said that the manicure would have been done if I had stayed. I explained that she had already begun massaging my right hand and hadn't even touched my left hand, so everything was out of order. Not to mention, I think the young girl had no cut someone else's nails before because she clipped my skin multiple times in the fatty area of the finger, and cut the nails so short that they are numb. Ladies- you KNOW what I mean!!! PLEASE. BUYER BEWARE. This place is unsanitary, unprofessional, and seriously should be reported to DORA. I think it depends on who you get here. I usually go to another salon but my regular person is out of town so I thought I'd try them. The girl was very rough with me, only did 2 layers of dip powder (if you get it often you know that's not enough because they sand it down at the end) so my nails are thin and brittle. They're jagged and I had to file them more when I got home. They just look messy with color all over the sides, not even at all in paint or shape. I don't feel it was worth $40. I would come back if they seemed like they cared more - the girl who did mine rushed right out after she was done, no hand massage or lotion, so clearly she had somewhere to be. read more

I've been searching for the best nail salon. I think I've finally found it!!! Many of the nail salons I've been to are super busy and I feel that at times they tend to take advantage of customers especially when it comes to nails. Upon arriving at T&C nails, Kim accommodated my daughter's in a timely manner. She was welcoming and kind as well. We didn't have to wait long. She was able to give my girls exactly what they wanted without removing previous set which was nice. She was gentle and the nail shaping was superior to what we've previously had. When it came time to pay I was also pleasantly surprised to find that it was $30 cheaper than what we normally pay which I was happy to tip her since I wasn't price gouged.
