Honestly I keep coming back here and I don't know why. I always leave in a bad mood and regret spending the money just to be disappointed or have to go home to fix my nails myself. I got a fill today (which I think I was improperly charged for since the register just said "nail service") and it was $55! For a fill! That's how much I paid to have the tips put on there to begin with. It's outrageous. And then they are always rushing and doing horrible service because they want to pack as many people in as they can. I have been going to NV Nails for years, I've always had a great experience there until I took a friend the last 2 times. The first time, my friend had Kevin give her a dip manicure. She left with all her fingers bleeding. She is way too sweet to complain. She decided to give NV Nail a second chance yesterday. This time she had "Hung Tran" give her a pedicure. He proceeded to dig down deep saying she had ingrown skin and this is normal and she needed to google it. Both of her big toes were bleeding really bad. She woke up this morning with discharge coming out of both toes which were extremely painful. She will never go with me again and I honestly don't blame her!! I pray she doesn't lose her toes. Went in to get acrylic nails removed- not wanting a new manicure or anything else. She used another fake nail to slide it under my current acrylic nail and pop them off. Kind of painful and definitely something I could have done on my own. Usually getting nails removed at a salon, they use all the tools and buffers to make it easy and not painful. After, she asked if I wanted a manicure. I said no, just a clear coat to help with the destroyed nail. She continued to use a single coat of a light pink color anyway and a single clear coat. I ended up paying $45 to remove my nails and for the single coat to chip off the next day and my nails be completely destroyed underneath. read more

I have recently moved to this area and have been looking around for a good salon. Upon entering, the salon appears to be very clean and modern, I had high hopes! I went ahead and asked for a pedi and mani, and that's when the disappointment started. The pedicure seemed halfway done, all I got was a cleaning and then lotion, at other salons, a pedicure also includes a scrub but I didn't receive that here. Then, it was time for my manicure and that's when my hopes started to plumment. I asked for an almond shape in a natural shade and the lady was very nice about accommodating my request, however her skill set was not up to par. I wish she would have referred me to someone else who is more seasoned in that field. I ended up walking away with chunky, uneven, lopsided, and bumpy nails-- I wanted to cry. They were already close to closing so everytime I would ask her to adjust something, she would hastily do it to get me out of there. I ended up paying $111.00 for half a pedicure and an awful nail service, I don't know if I will be returning. read more

Not impressed at all. I had an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early and 45 minutes later I was finally taken back. I got acrylics and they are super uneven and slanted to one side more. I let the nail technician know and he said it looks straight from his angle, so I couldn't really do anything more to try to get them fixed. My fingers are cut up from the file and the nails weren't even fully polished, they look like they are due to be done already. I requested a very very simple design and they talked me out of it. And then he proceeded to super glue my finger tips to the nail, which caused my skin to break and bleed. I normally don't go out of my way to make a review but I am extremely dissatisfied with what I received for a whole 50 dollars. My finger tips are in pain and the nails I got were nothing like what I had asked. How can a nail salon not do almond shaped nails? With a simple painted French. I actually tried to make an appt at a different nail location but they couldn't get me in at my desired time so I called Envy Nails and they were able to get me in on time. When my friend and I got there, they were able to seat us next to eachother so we could chat. That was really, really nice. They had a good selection of colors and their regular manicure was good. And, it is very affordable! Regular mani is $20 which I haven't gotten a mani at that price in years. They have a very smooth sign in and payment situation and they even have an awards system. My sister recommended this place to me as it's down the street from her house so I gave them a call and Kevin spoke with me on the phone being very helpful and polite. When I got into the salon it was a quick wait and then a man named Michael helped me. He sat me down and then looked at me as said "What do you want?" In a very demeaning manner. I told him I would like a manicure with dip and he cut me off saying "Dip doesn't come with an manicure!" I told him I would pay the extra for a manicure along with the dip but I wanted both. I then asked if I could get 2 tips put on 2 of my nails and he seemed extremely annoyed I would even ask this. I'm a nail biter and two of my nails were shorter then the rest. He put the tips on and told me "Stop biting your nails or next time we can't do this!" I was blown away by how rude he was at this point. The whole time I was there he was rushing to get done and acting annoyed I was there. Not even a week later and my thumbnail started cracking off and tonight it completely fell off. I really want to love this place. They are very nice here and they have great prices. I've been several times (six!) to be precise. I usually get a pedicure and occasionally shellac. Typically my shellac nails stay three weeks but when I go here there is not enough attention to the edges and it peels off within the first week. Once I had to have them redo the paint on my shellac nails because there was dust under it making bumps on the polish. The painting skill is not there. I once asked them to do some detail work (three small dots at nail bed that form a triangle) and it was a hot mess. Out of the six times here I e walked out happy with the work three times. It should not be that way. I may try them again once they get more skill or more techs but until then no more visits! read more

I have gone to get a full set of acrylic nails. Have done polish on acrylic, shellac and i've also done dip. They do not last and I am not hard on my nails they all break off or fall off completely in less than 2 weeks. The taller male tech with the glasses was wearing headphones and talking on the phone during my appointment and cut my fingers twice. The nails were super thick and some were crooked. When they started to fall off they lifted from the base and then broke off and my nails were sore after. It must depend on the tech but it's not worth it if they're gonna fall off so quick. They do have a large range of shades of polish and powder though. Definitely try to call ahead though. I waited over 45 minutes. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. At least to Christine. I made an appointment, and when I got to Envy nails they were very busy, and that is fine, I don't mind waiting a little bit. Christine was giving a pedicure to someone else when I sat down. someone else started the foot bath for me and I waited. When Christine was done with the pedicure she was giving, she got up and went to the back of the store. She was gone for over 20 min, I overheard others that were working ask where she was. When she finally came back up to the front of the store, she SLOWLY wondered around looking for the things she needed to get started. Finally, after 10-15 min of wondering around she came over and stated my pedicure. At this time I had been waiting for almost 40 min. Throughout my pedicure she loudly made rude comments about a toenail I have that was lifted and maybe coming off from an injury. As she scrubbed my feet she just let skin fall all over to the place. To the point I was obviously embarrassed. I had just had a pedicure 2 weeks before, but usually as the skin comes off your feet the person giving the pedicure folds it into the towel to make it discrete and not make a mess. She did not do this. I was so obviously embarrassed that the woman sitting across from me made a point to mention that happens to her too. It was clear the other customer was trying to make me feel less embarrassed. While Christine did my pedicure she stopped over and over to have a conversation with one of the other employees from across the room. Apparently she can not give a pedicure and talk at the same time? I paid for the "deluxe" pedicure and she rubbed my feet for maybe 1 min each. They do not do the hot stone massage at this location which I thought was strange, but fine, each place does things differently. It was an absolutely terrible experience. It has been over a month since this happened, but i still feel like i needed to say something. I also had a gel manicure done and that was just fine, the woman that did my fingernails was nice did a good job. I was in and out if there in less than 1.5 hours after waiting for 40 min and having a gel manicure as well. I think my "deluxe" pedicure was maybe 25 min. I personally wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, but if you find yourself going to Envy nails just make sure you do not have Christine give you a pedicure. She is lazy and is not good at her job. Or maybe just doesn't have the desire to try. When I go in to get my nails done it is to relax and pamper myself a little. First time here today. Needed a Shellac Mani and a regular pedicure. I had an existing Shellac Mani that requires an extra step with Polish remover. Was sat down in the Mani table and the woman pulls out the Dremel to file off the Polish. Fr several years of experience, this doesn't work for me because I've found that my nail beds soon begin thinning, peeling and weak over time. Immediately I say no Dremel. She looks confused and I explain why. She then says ok, well let's do pefdi first and escorts me to pedi chair. Long story short, I get pedi and the foil with cotton process is not done. After pedi, I get taken back to a Mani table with a very petite male who puts both of my hands in a small bowl of acetone. I soak for a few minutes and he then pulls out the Dremel. I say no Dremel and again explain why I don't like that process. I tell him about the foil/cotton process. He says they don't do it that way but will look for some foil. Finds some, let's me sit for about 5 minutes and tries to remove Shellac Polish. After several attempts he is becoming frustrated and again tells me this won't work and where do I go that does this because he's not familiar with the process and it's not working. He asks in his native language around and transfers me to another lady whom I guess knows what I'm talking about. She doesn't. She struggles too! By this time, I've been trying to get a manicure done and 1 hour has gone by. I end up leaving without a Shellac Mani, my nails look terrible and I only pay for The pedicure. Bottom line I will return for a pedicure but these folks don't know how to remove Shellac in a way that I accustomed. The other two shops I go to never use a Dremel and it never seemed to be a trying process. I see lots of women sitting with foil to remove Shellac Polish. My request is better for my nail bed. Had to at least share my experience. Using the Dremel is faster, but more harmful and causes nail beds to be thinner because of the removal of the Shellac Polish. None of the three nail Tech's could safely remove the polish and were at a loss in how to do this. FYI, if you prefer or accustomed to the foil/cotton soaking process to help keep your nails strong. Don't come here. Some of you may relate, some may not. Just an FYI...... read more
