I visited Kristen's nail spa for the first time looking for someone to remove the dip polish on my nails that was two weeks old. She took great care to remove the old polish and clean up my nails. I've never had my nails shaped as perfectly as Kristin did today. And she painted the polish perfectly as well! It is, by far, the best manicure I've had. Kristen is amazing AND SHE IS OPEN during this insane time of panic. It works well as she is in a single suite so you don't have to worry about someone else coughing or sneezing in your space. She is so thorough in her cleaning. She even asks that you sanitize when you walk in the door which I can appreciate. I also love that she truly is about the health of your nails. She isn't into all the acrylic and tips as it damages your nails. Her skills are unmatched and she doesn't use all of those insane gadgets to damage your nails even further. She is hands down the best and am so grateful I was able to stumble upon her. So shoutout to all of the great reviews here on yelp as they did not disappoint. I called today and Kristen answered the phone. She is the owner and she answers the phone as Kristen, not Peony. Just a head's up. She was able to get me in today because her business is really struggling due to the COVID-19. She is the only one in her salon and it is hard to find. You have to go in the Phenix Salon door and they will take you back to her shop. It is a small, cute room with one pedicure chair and one mani station. She asked that I sanitize my hands when coming in and you could tell she is concerned for keeping her salon clean. The bowl was lined with a removable plastic wrap and she showed me the cleanser she uses after each person. It is very quiet, she doesn't play any music but carries a conversation with you if you want. The pedicure was fantastic! She took her time, got all the dead skin off and really scrubbed at my calluses. The sugar scrub smelled so good and felt good and finished off with a hot towel. Then the massage was by far the best. She concentrated mainly on your feet, which is what a pedicure massage should concentrate on and the amount of pressure was just right! The overall time there was 75 mins. It pedicure was only $40 and she prefers cash especially during these struggling times. I highly recommend Kristen for a pedicure and I will be back! read more

Just had a great pedicure at Peony! Totally relaxed environment, Kristen was meticulous, facility was clean, and I am happy with it. I don't get pedicures often and my heels are A MESS, so I got the keratin pedi. It does take about 75 mins so make sure you have time. I ended up walking around lost for a while because there isn't an exterior sign for the place. The actual location is a space INSIDE what looks to be exclusively the Phenix salon; the receptionist right inside the door will show you where to go. read more

What a great little spot! And by little, I mean they have three chairs! It's located in the Phoenix building, which makes it hard to find unless you're in the know! Luckily, I walked in and was they only person in the spa. Another tip, the Phoenix building is made up of several business/suites but looks like there's a front desk check in area when you first walk in. Just go past the desk and look for the spa. I enjoyed my pedicure here so much, that I wanted to write my review immediately (I'm still here, waiting for my nails to dry). Kristen was delightful, as everyone else has said. Came in with my husband, but since it was just her working, she did one at a time. At other places, sometimes they rush in this instance, but she really took her time which was much appreciated. Wasn't a big deal for us either, to just relax in a massage chair. She was very friendly and thorough. Her spa is very small, but not in a bad way. Just three chairs but was more relaxing that way, especially with the soothing music playing. We both got the hot stone pedicure and was lovely. I can't say one thing bad about Kristen and her place of business. The thing that stood out most to me was her cleanliness! There wasn't a hint of her being un-hygienic. So if that's important to you then peony nails is the place to be. I think this is more of a spa experience for your nails rather than a quick nail job. She really takes her time and ensures she does a good quality job. I got a gel mani/pedi and my nails and cuticles look great. She has a good selection of colors but nothing extravagant, so no rhinestones, but that's not my thing anyway. Thank you Kristen, job well done!!! read more

What a great find!!!! This is how a nail spa should be. I scheduled an appointment with Kristen and when I got there the power was actually out, so she couldn't do shellac. Kristin was still able to give me a regular pedicure and manicure. I left for Mexico the next day and the polish lasted a week and then some. I was so impressed. She took the time to shape and clean up my nails. They looked great. I didn't feel like she rushed me in and out. She only has one chair, so she really takes the time to concentrate on you. This is a great hidden spa. It's right by Macy's, but from the outside you wouldn't know it's full of different salons. Kristen, the owner is wonderful! I had been going to the other nail salon in Stapleton near the movie theater. Kristens spa is much more relaxing and quiet. I would recommend making an appointment. I was just lucky and walked in without an appointment. I got a hot stone pedi for $40. This is a good price for what you get. She takes her time and doesn't rush through like most large salons. First time being here. I usually go to JC Nails down the street, but after looking at the reviews, I decided to try something new. I've lived in Colorado almost my entire life and trying to find a nail salon that is consistent, close to home, and who takes their time is almost impossible to find. Most pedicures I get last about 40-45 mins. Here today, my pedicure was an hour and ten minutes! Kristen took her time and was very through with my pedi. The massage was AMAZING! Unlike any other place who will pat you down, rub you like they are rubbing a child's foot and be done, she applied great pressure and took time on each foot! I will definitely be back. I have gotten manicures and pedicures all over Denver. When I moved to this part of town I was looking for a new neighborhood nail spot and am so thankful to have found peony nails. Kristen is detail-oriented and really takes her time. Hands down best $40 pedicure I've ever had which includes a scrub and hot stone massage. My gel manicure seems to stay on without chipping for weeks and weeks, unlike when I get them done elsewhere. She is gentle, clean, and never in a rush to get you in and out. I love that it is a private setting (only one pedicure chair!) but that means I always call to make an appointment. The spot is located in a suite of private salons so give yourself a few extra minutes the first time to walk around and find her specific suite...you will not regret it. She is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays and even if I'm dying for a manicure/pedicure on a Sunday I will wait until Wednesday so I can get in at peony nails. read more

Have to add to the great reviews of this place. Kristen was super nice and GREAT at her job. I came in for a shellac manicure and to get my old shellac soaked off. Took about an hour total. Included a little hand and arm massage. Kristen was such a perfectionist, she fixed mistakes I wouldn't have even noticed. My nails look awesome! I will definitely be back. My husband and I were out shopping and I called at the last minute (5:30p) for a mani/pedi. The owner was so accommodating, she said come right over! Since my hubby was going to be stuck waiting (and has heels like elephant skin - don't tell him I said that), I asked if he could get a pedicure. Hubs had a keratin pedicure, while I had a hot stone. I have visited multiple nail salons in our neighborhood and have never been "wowed" like I have at Peony Nails. Kristen is a perfectionist and takes time and care to do a very thorough job providing mani-pedis as well as Gel. My gel manicure with Kristen lasted longer than any other time I have had Gel done! Her salon suite is super clean and her products are high end. I brought my 10 year old daughter in with me today for a manicure and she was treated with the same high quality service.
