I was wanting to find a place closer to my house but the reviews kept telling me to try this place out. They were not wrong. Upon arrival I saw that they have their own parking out back that they share with the liquor store and bar, and that they had cameras watching the lot. When I walked in everyone stopped for a brief moment to smile and said hello. I had called earlier to schedule an appointment. They do get pretty busy so if you walk in you might have to wait. Next to the scary looking lost lake lounge. Walk in, and it's clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, but that's just fine with me. They have a tv on with CNN. Pedi is $23. It looks like they raised the price in the last year, no big deal. Linda did my nails. She was quiet and polite. Didn't try to give me the hard sale on a manicure. She spent a good amount of time around the toe nail beds and they look great. I opted for a design, which was $5 extra. CHARGED BY CINDY'S NAILS FOR HAVING COVID -- I got COVID, a REALLY bad case of it no less, and called to cancel 24 hours before my appointment and Cindy's male business associate told me he would HAVE to charge me a cancellation fee. I said, "so you want me to come in with a case of COVID then?" He said "no". Does this make sense to anyone???? I locked my card so he couldn't charge it, but my bank said he must have charged it as a subscription because it still went through, and apparently that's the only kind of charge that can get through a locked debit card. This should be illegal?!? Anyone else feel like this insane???! Like 'don't come in so you don't get us sick, but let us charge you a fee for not coming in, and then without your permission we will charge it as a subscription' Awesome. I never even got to try out Cindy's Nails. Oh and he told me that they used to waive any cancellation fee before 'when COVID was serious' but not anymore...um WHAT? It's serious enough that you won't let me come in, but not serious enough that you won't waive the fee EVEN with 24 hours notice? Make it make sense!!!! Anyone understand wtf is going on with this salon's insane ideas? BEWARE IF YOU HAPPEN TO CONTRACT AN ILLNESS you won't be allowed in AND you will pay them for NOTHING. Fun times. I can't recommend Cindy's Nails enough. I've been a loyal customer for 2+ years or so after struggling to find a reputable place that did acrylic with gel. Cindy, Zoom, and the whole team are SO personable, friendly, and funny. They take their time with their attention to detail, which I'm so appreciative for. I love the environment where there's normally fun banter with other customers and a movie playing. Tips: easily schedule online at least 1-2 weeks before you want to go, Cindy and Zoom are amazing at acrylic with gel (especially matte), parking out front on Colfax is usually fairly easy but there's parking in the back, they highly prefer cash payments to keep their prices down but it's not a hard requirement. read more

The staff is also super friendly and welcoming. Cindy and her team are so sweet. The facility itself is really tiny and nothing fancy (its the building on Colfax with the amazing colorful cat painted on the side), but it has everything you need. Manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylic nails. They can do any of these things. It's probably smart to call ahead for an appointment. Each time I've been here its relatively crowded and there are only 2 or 3 nail technicians working at a time. I get acrylic nails and a full set is about $25. They do a really good job and they're gentle with the drills, which always freak me out. The only complaint I have is that the nails seem to pop off after a week and a half or so. They just don't seem like they're glued on well enough? My latest set is doing better, however. We'll see! read more

We were in town last weekend for a family birthday party and decided to get manis/pedis with all of the cousins. My niece had prom also so we were trying to fit into her schedule. With 7 people total, we needed 7 manis & 4 pedis. One star: good management- Cindy was great at scheduling (and then rescheduling) as we tried to accommodate everyone. We arrived at 9am and had their salon to ourselves with a large staff to help us to get out on time for the prom girl's hair appt. It felt like a private party. One star: nice staff- it really makes the difference and these ladies were very professional and very nice and welcoming. one star: clean - from the front foot baths to the bathroom - clean is nice and they are clean One star: inexpensive but still great quality- my manicure is still holding up and I type 100+ emails a day- still no chips! I paid $90 for 4 manicures and 2 pedicures- that is a great deal One star-location: The BEST part is that Cindy's is 5 miles from my sister's house so the girls now know a nice local place with great prices. I'm in Denver on vacay and didn't have time before leaving Texas to get my nails done, so after reading several reviews on yelp I decided to go to Cindy's nails. Overall my experience was fantastic, I got a pedicure and a full set! The pedicure was great and so was the price! Another plus is they have about a billion colors of nail polish to chose from! I forgot to mention I was a walk-in and was immediately sat down and taken care of. The only complaint I guess I have is that they don't have or use color powder... but in the end it really wasn't that big of a deal because I absolutely love my holiday nails! Things I noticed while at the salon ( non- nail related): Pros: - Cindy knows her customers, every person that walked through the door she would address them by their first name. - The girls working there actually hold conversation with you! - Reasonable prices Cons: - The salon is pretty small - This one didn't really affect me, but there were only 3 girls working so when a fourth customer walked in she had to wait about 45 minutes... She was soaking her feet for about 30 minutes before they were finally able to get to her. I will say they did keep checking on her and making sure that she was comfortable and that the water was still warm. I would either call ahead or make an appointment if you don't have the time to wait! If I lived in Denver I would definitely go back! read more

For more than five years, Cindy's was a top neighborhood treasure of mine. I adore Cindy and everyone who works at Cindy's Nails. They and their skills are top notch and the reason this review is four stars instead of three. My downgraded review from five stars five years ago is a result of too much "new and improved" by way of transfer of management from Cindy to her daughter, Zoom and son-in-law, James. While Zoom and James are good people and educated, most of the changes made in the last year are not particularly smart and do little to enhance the customer experience. The online booking system is completely unnecessary. It and offsite answering of the phone are a hinderance to customers like me who call from the car to see about getting in in minutes or within an hour. Were prices raised in the past year to cover the additional overhead of the phone and reservation system and additionally, someone to manage such? One aspect that made Cindy's so great previously was that the person answering the phone (usually Cindy) knew me and treated me like a valued customer and even a friend. Now I call and get either a recorded message inviting me to book online (kinda not possible from the car) or am told there are no appointments. When I get the recording, if I don't leave a message, my call is returned later (I know you have Caller ID but if I don't leave a message, please don't waste my time or yours with a callback), after either I've been in and left or have opted to go elsewhere. Believe me when I say I don't like going elsewhere but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. If on a Friday I can't get in until Tuesday, from my perspective it's time for the nail salon to hire one or two more people, especially when from experience, I know there are empty chairs, including in the wait area. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic about wanting Cindy's to remain like all the other neighborhood nail salons I've frequented over the past 25 years--friendly, unfussy, walk-ins welcome, very rarely more than a 10 minutes wait, quick--this isn't a spa on the high street. It's a neighborhood mani pedi place, that I wish operated like one. read more

Upgrading this review to five stars! The owners, Zoom and James, have put a ton of work into this place over the last year and it shows. The decor feels a little lighter and brighter, the booking system is super streamlined, and the service is as good as ever. Zoom does a great job with my go-to (nude gel nails) and is a pleasure to chat with. They've upped their prices slightly, but they're still really reasonable compared to some other salons in the area. They no longer take walk ins, but booking is super easy on their site and it helps avoid wait times. I've also been known to message them on Yelp, to which I've always received a prompt and helpful response about availability. One more thing: I hadn't realized they have a parking lot around back! I'd always parked on Colfax before, which is fine, but I'll start taking advantage of their parking sitch now that I know. Keep up the amazing work, guys! read more

I tried to delete my previous review but I seemed to have forgotten my password. I've visited the business twice since my first visit , the one that left me impressed that I had a structured manicure that didn't lift for 6 weeks while I was in South America. I came back for a new set- which started cracking and breaking in half the time as the first set. Made It back in and the tech blamed me for being rough with my hands. I had a broken nail and asked for a nail tip so I wouldn't have uneven nails. He said that is out of his skill set? Lol. So Why did you raise your prices and not you skill set along with that. anyways - I sat in the chair for over two hours , we shortened the nails and applied thin layer of builder gel. I had specifically asked for nail glue to be applied to a crack on a pointer finger , and he said no bc it will leave a ridge. Well it's been less than 48 hours since my appt - and I have a deeper crack in that nail. Nail glue or a thicker layer of gel should have been applied. I've ordered nail glue overnight for Amazon and applied it - hoping to prolong the inevitable. Overall, I've been to 3 visits and only had a good experience 1/3. I finally found a place in Denver that does a great job! Cindy's Nails was referred to me by a few people and they were not wrong! I strongly suggest making an appointment, although they do take walk-ins if they have availability. You make your appointment via the yelp app by messaging the business. They are great with responding. Once an appointment is booked, they send text confirmations. I have gotten both a regular mani and gel mani and both always come out great! The ladies are super friendly and detailed in what they do. Plus, there's always something fun playing on the TV if you decide just to relax and not talk. They are located on Colfax, across from sprouts. There isn't a parking lot, but there is street parking in front of plenty on the neighboring side streets. read more

It's been awhile since I've last gotten my nails done, so I decided to stop by Cindy's today to get them done. As soon as I walked in I was instantly taken to a chair to start. I was happy that I didn't have to wait because I had to be somewhere in an hour and a half. The woman who worked on my nails was very friendly and detail-oriented. She made sure to get every detail of that specific nail perfect before moving onto the next. Beings cosmetologist myself, seeing people like that makes me happy. Ultimately, I feel every person should take the time to perfect and go the extra mile for their clients. It's what keeps them coming back and money in your pocket. I tried the SNS nail dipping process. It supposes to strengthen your nails and feel similar to acrylics. I used to always do acrylics but didn't like my nails being weakened. SNS provides nutrients on your own nails and not adding what I think of as toxic substances. I will keep updated on progress!! Very happy with mt nails so far and I've had years of experience with nail care. I think good nails uplifts my attitude. If you look good, you feel good. The staff here is very nice.
