Both my sister, several friends and I have been coming here for years and YEARS. The sisters are all great...very friendly and efficient. They are always busy and it is one of the best pedicures for the price anywhere in the denver and surrounding areas. I drive quite a ways to come here after all these years. They do need an update and are doing so very soon! They will have a new salon late this summer. I hope to keep recommending them for many more years to come. I love how quaint Silly Nails Spa is, the relaxing massage chairs for pedicures, along with being greeted with a friendly, "hello," when you enter. I have been going to Silky Nails Spa (formally Rumor Nails) for over twenty years--it was originally family operated--owned by Tina, and her sisters all worked there. When Tina decided to sell Silky Nails Spa I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the new owner Neily is, and how special she made me feel on my birthday when I came in to get a pedicure and manicure. We talked about my love for Chanel and she suggested a Chanel design on my thumbs and big toes which made my birthday even more special. Between the reasonable prices, the quality of service and how fabulous my nails look when I leave--I haven't found a Nail Salon in Denver that I have walked away feeling fabulous! I also love that Tina and her sister Lee still work at Silly Nails--offering pedicures and manicures (but only on specific days) and Margie who was hired by Neily has also been my nail tech. It is hit or miss here. If you get the owner, great. If not I am currently enduring my second bad experience here. Regular gel manicure is now running 90 min. Last dip manicure it was way too thick. Very quiet, so that is nice. Sweet people. Just not the most experienced IMO. read more

I went in for a shellac pedicure and while my toes look great, there was no massage or much work on getting the roughness out of my heals. Those are the main reasons I enjoy going to get my nails done, so I was pretty disappointed. She did spend a lot of time making sure my toes looked good, but I was hoping to get a little bit of everything. read more

Great place for a solid mani/pedi! Rumor Nails opened about 10 years ago, and is run by sisters. They're very nice, do a good job, and are pretty quick. They allow walk-ins as well as appointments. I made an appointment to get pedicures with some friends, and we were seen as soon as we came. The prices overall were very reasonable. The pedicures were only $20 (a mani/pedi was only $35) and came with callous removal and a leg massage. They also have a pretty good selection of nail polishes. I've been coming here for the past few months and really appreciate the work these ladies do. They are always busy which speaks to the great service they provide, but they always manage to get me in same day even if they have to stay a little late to take care of me. They are wonderful. They take their time and really pay attention to the details to make sure your nails look amazing. Their prices are also very reasonable, especially for Denver. I like this place. Been coming here for several years now. They did a renovation a while ago that was very much needed including new massage chairs. The staff are always friendly and the prices are great. $20 for a pedicure which includes a lovely foot and calf massage. I rate this place three stars for ONE reason only and that is the simplicity of this establishment. Unlike higher end fancy-pants salons this one is simple in its decor and offers consistent good service for the price. Walk ins are accepted and you can also make a reservation if needed which I recommend on the weekends. There are both street parking and a lot behind the building. I will never go to this nail salon again! While this place may be cheap, it is not worth it. This salon was not very clean, very run down, and they use stained and holy towels. I did not see them get new tools or pull them from a sanitizer, so I asked if her tools were clean and my nail tech became offended. Then a different person did my mani, which was horrible. She barely soaked my hands, not allowing my cuticles to soften up, and when I asked her if she could trim all of my cuticles she said that she did....honestly my 12 year old daughter could do better. I intended on getting a gel mani, but told her to forget about it as I simply wanted to leave. I did not want to pay for the poor service. read more

The worst nail salon I have ever been to. I went in to get manicure and pedicure. I paid over 70$ and towards the end of services the nails already looked like shit so bad the lady had to put a design on it to cover her mistakes. It has been a week and they are peeling and cracking. I tried calling to get a refund and they hung up on me and have not offered a solution. If you want the worst services and worst customer service, go here! I will never give a place with such lousy nail polish and customer service my business. I've been here at least 20 times. End product of my nails and toes is good. Scheduling is tough, since they take most walk ins but also have an appointment system. My biggest negative is that the salon is pretty dirty. Maybe not the spa chairs, but everything is dusty and cluttered. There's unworking junk all over. The salon needs a deep clean and purge of all the junk. Prices are fair and I appreciate that they don't chat me up the whole time so I can have some quiet. Nothing about the manicure itself was good: didn't really shape them or even ask about shape, soaked my nails in cold water for less than a minute, polish all over my nail beds. My nail tech answered a phone call on speaker phone during 80% of getting it done. I know they recently moved, so I don't wanna dog on on his cramped and small the space is, but it was not welcoming or relaxing at all, very cramped. I've been going here since I moved to Denver 2 years ago. It's not the greatest spot, but they have good prices, work is usually decent (Ive had one experience where it was rushed, but not the end of the world) and I've always had an easy enough time getting in. It's some of the younger staff that I think has the issues....no idea how to communicate with people....and it's not a language barrier, it's a politeness barrier. Today I walk in, 3 girls giving pedicures looked at me saying nothing, so I ask "would I be able to get in for a pedicure?", all 3 still looking at me blankley, then look at each other, and then go back to the pedicures they were doing. I asked "is that a yes or a no?". The customers laugh and then one of the girls mumbles. "yes". The way they were was so off putting I decide to leave and will never return. The girls that were here today have no idea what the meaning of customer service is. The older lady who is normally there is really nice, but when she is gone, no bueno. I don't expect a lot, but a "hello" or just some recognition when I ask a question would be nice. read more

This was my first visit to Rumor Nail Salon and I will definitely be back! I recently started working at Rose Medical Center and was looking for a place where I could stop off on my way home. I was able to make an appointment for the date and time I wanted with about 48 hrs notice, but they did seem to have availability for same day appointments as well. I have been going to another salon in Parker and they had messed up both my nails and my pedicure, so not impressed. I'm not hard to please, but I do expect great customer service. These ladies exceeded my expectations! I could tell the salon had recently been renovated, looked nothing like what I saw on Google or Yelp. It's a small space, but super cute. I worked with Tina who owns the salon. I came in for a pedicure and a rebase. She spent just about two hours with me and my nails look absolutely fantastic! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. I stopped into this salon before I read r.m.'s review, which would have saved me from this place. Granted, the staff were nice enough, but R.m. is clearly correct in the assessment that the place is totally unsanitary. I had to ask for a fresh pumice during my pedi and none of the implements used on me appear to have been correctly sanitized. I also observed the lone barbasol container, which was not properly diluted and the tools in it were not properly covered. If anyone would like to learn what to look for in terms of salon sanitation, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) has a video available online that could be a real lifesaver. Wish I had gotten out of Rumour Nails before it was too late, but sometimes it's hard to see the signs that proper sanitary protocols aren't being followed until it's too late to make a polite escape. This will remind me to keep my guard up. Fear of MRSA aside, the mani/pedi I received here were sloppy, from the filing down to the polish application. As a single mom I value 'me time' and at Rumor Nails they went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. I've been to the salon many times and am always happy with my nails. I usually don't make an appointment and they almost always take me pretty quickly. Very good prices. Downfall - it's pretty dirty in there. Not necessarily the tools and area they are working, but there's so much junk and dust just sitting. Also on one visit another patron came in to complain about work that had been done the day before and request a refund. The customer and technician got into a screaming match with me in between getting a pedicure by said technician. Absolutely terrible. If zero stars was an option, this place would get it. Dirty, weird, awkward ambiance. The service and quality are horrible. We made an appointment and they sat me in the chair with my feet in water for 20 minutes before starting. My friend had shellac on her nails which they PICKED off, not soaked. When picking it off wasn't working, she proceeded to take the electric sander out and try that. When that didn't work, she resorted to prying it off with cuticle clippers. There are Christmas decorations up in August, no music playing so it's awkwardly silent and a futon with a couple of fans as their dryers. As for my pedicure, she cut my nails so short it's painful and filed each toe for about 1 second just to go through the action but not actually shaping or filing. I asked her not to cut my cuticles because I'm actually concerned about the cleanliness and safety of their tools. So, she proceeds to cut my cuticles anyways. I have been to some questionable nail places in Denver but this is BY FAR the absolute grossest, worst one out there. Do not visit this establishment unless you are a health code inspector in which case I encourage you to check it out. read more

I went in this morning for my appointment at 11:30am. Everything seemed to be going well until it came time for my nail technician to start applying my shellac. The paint job was a mess. I asked for 1 nail to be matte..with a rhinestone on top..she places the matte polish over my rhinestone she applied which discolored the rhinestones and made it look just sloppy. They didn't dry properly and just stayed tacky and sticky..I'm never picky about my nails or complain..but, when I left I instantly went somewhere else to get the shellac removed and repainted. read more
