She was very detail oriented and I left extremely happy (no complaints). Some of the things that really impressed me: 1. The decor - so fresh and cute. The worst manicure of my life. The young gal said the more expensive polish was better than gel. Went on thick and clumpy. I asked her about it she fixed the middle finger on my right hand twice. The last time put the top coat on waited a few minutes said it was good to go and obviously not. I had a wedding rehearsal dinner to get to so I came back asked her just take it off. The other gal offered to redo them the next day "the wedding" not sure if I would have time. No offer of a refund or even a portion of the cost. I believe the young gal wasn't sure how to apply the product. I'm used to between each application 30-40 seconds under the light. Not even a decent apology. As I said the worst. I just got an acrylic full set and they look good. BUT it came out to $72 before tip. I just think that is way over priced compared to normal nail salons. I don't think they should advertise their full sets at $48 and then charge so much more for normal and easy nails. So pink! It could use a facelift but it's fun and clean. Maureen did my pedicure. The sanitation is on point. She doesn't do the jet tubs. No vibrating seats. BUT the foot massage was great and she worked really hard. I was greeted with a choice of beverage. Overall everything was great. Kat is my favorite for a manicure and Heather does a great mani too! Wanted to give this place less stars but it was clean and they didn't make my cuticles bleed so I felt like average stars was fitting for a very average place. I'll start off by saying I work in a salon and spa that gives fantastic pedis so my expectations were high. It's just up the street from my place so I walk by frequently and have even stopped in to browse the clothes they have in their front boutique area. It's cute and looked clean so when my boyfriend booked us appointments for my birthday I was pretty excited to try it out and get pampered. They carry both OPI and Vinylux (which is a longer wearing regular polish by the people who make Shellac) so I upgraded to Vinylux for a $3 up charge. They sat us down but never introduced theirselves, so I'm not positive who our providers were. They were both pleasant but the girl working on me was obviously very stressed about her next appointments and seemed rushed and not very relaxed which made my experience a little less relaxing. She did a thorough job of filing my feet, the scrub, cuticles, etc. I did tell her that I like my nails on the short side and she didn't seem to acknowledge what I said, nor did she check with me on the length. Would have preferred my big toes cut a little shorter but she seemed to be in a hurry as it was. My biggest complaint is that she painted my nails quickly without letting anything dry in between. I had sandals so they had plenty of time to dry so I wasn't too worried about it. Pedicure was on Sunday and Wednesday morning both of my big toes were chipped. The polish was streaky and see through. Luckily we carry CND at our salon so I was able to re paint them without having to go back in, but I've never had my toes chip so fast. Such a let down considering I paid extra for the Vinylux and the pedicures here are not cheap. read more

I went here today to have a horrible manicure fixed (from a different salon) and I can't even believe how amazing my nails look now! Heather spent 2 hours fixing and perfecting my nails, my hands have never been more beautiful! This was no ordinary re-base. First, she started by removing my horrible botched nails that couldn't be salvaged and were so bad that mold had begun to grow under them! (Disgusting) FYI removing acrylic nails can be super painful but she was very gentle and took her time not to cause me pain. Amazing. Then she preceded to work a complete miracle by shaping and filing my nails to perfection. Today's manicure was hands down the best acrylic manicure I've ever had and as long as I'm in Denver I will not go anywhere else! This place is nice. I don't have much context for nail places, because I rarely go. Before this pedicure, the last time I went was in college (5 or 6 years). The place is clean, great customer service, everything seems to be pink, and they sell clothes. The big win for me is that it doesn't have that intolerable lingering nail polish smell that places I've gone to in the past. Just had the best set of nails done to me that I have EVER had! No joke. I travel two weeks out of every month for work and have been around the world plus I'm extremely picky...Yes, by far, amazing! I love my new coffin-shaped acrylic gels. The best part was that my technician Heather was a third generation of experience and she didn't touch my hands with a machine. At all! I have found my new nail salon!!! We just recently moved to the area and I was hoping to find a good, clean, local nail place with people I could get to know more about each time I came in. Not to mention, a good service that is affordable. This place hit all my wants and more. Maureen squeezed me in for a last minute pedicure on a Sunday- which made them stay after they were technically closed. I was greeted with the sweetest and well trained Boxer and then promptly checked in and sat in a very comfy seat. I had a wonderful pedicure, great conversation, and quiet during the massage portion. It was expensive for thick acrylic nails (normally I wouldn't do but they don't have dip...) they say dip is unsanitary but I noticed some other very unsanitary things about the salon so I was kinda confused on that statement. I did have my nails taken off by a different salon 1 week after because I couldn't stand how thick and fake they looked. This salon is far from a classy place. The reason I gave 2 stars is because I did like how they didn't use the machine that grinds your nails down very thin but after getting my acrylic removed my nails went to trash anyways so whatever. read more

I went in here liking the idea of a spa and clothing shop at the same time. Also, I had researched Shellac salons and happened to be in the neighborhood so I went here to try it out. The girl who checked me in and did my nails was nice enough, not very chatty. I got a Shellac manicure, which promptly chipped and peeled off after a week, which isn't supposed to happen, and I was really disappointed since I had spent 40 dollars on the process in the hopes i would have nice nails for three weeks. Also, like other reviews, I thought this place was kind of dirty as well. The only redeeming thing that I got out of this experience was a thank you card with a discount on my next mani/pedi at their salon. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and the lack of quality in the expensive Shellac manicure makes me not want to go back. read more

She was extremely apologetic for my last visit, and also very nice, welcoming and promised that I was in good hands with Megan. She was right! I can't say that I would go back for another spa mani/ pedi, as its a bit pricey, but I think I could justify it for special occasions. I'll definitely go back for a regular mani though. I left the place dripping in cuticle oil and slathered in polish. I opted for the Simple Mani/ Pedi, which includes a soak, nail trimming, shaping and cuticle care- save your money - this service is not worth $40. The nail tech did a brief file of my toenails, and didn't want to trim them, even though I asked. She complained that my nails were too small for the clippers (haven't heard that before), but finally agreed to trim them. She smudged the polish on both of my big toes and another toe and didn't even try to fix it. One of my big toenails is cut completely crooked, thank goodness its too cold for open toed shoes. As for my finger nails, she took the approach of "slap it on, clean it up after", but never cleaned it up. The tactic she used was to slather my fingers in clear nail polish, then attempt to scrape it off with an orange stick. The Simple mani/pedi should have lasted 50 minutes (which is why I chose this service), but it took over an hour and 15 minutes. On top of that, I spent a good 35 minutes trying to clean up the mess of the polish on my fingers once I got home. I wasn't expecting a spa mani/pedi, but I did expect to walk out with a nice polish on both my fingers & toes- especially for $40. I tried out this salon because of the high ratings on yelp, but after today, I honestly do not know how those reviews were achieved. read more

Amazing mani/pedis for my wedding! File-n-Style was seriously awesome when my mom called 3 days before my wedding to have the bridal party and family's nails done. They even opened the shop early so that we could all get our mani/pedis done together. They knew what they were talking about and offered to shellac my nails rather than just paint them. The shellac stayed on for almost 2 full weeks without a chip and then they removed it and did it again just before we left for our honeymoon. The staff was really awesome and super professional. Additionally, I found a jacket to wear with my wedding dress in their cute boutique. Also, I can't forget to mention that the owner completely went the extra mile by hooking me up with cuticle oil for my dry winter cracked hands. I have gone back and I'll keep going back. When looking for a manicure for a friend's wedding, I found File-n-Style. Naturally, the pink decor creeped me out, but that's the kind of girl I am. Upon entering the store, I was happily greeted by the staff and shown to a chair. After a few awkward minutes of silence between the manicurist (Ally) and myself, we discovered that we were both writers and proceeded to talk about the troubles of trying to write after working a full day. It was the most pleasant of the few manicures I've had. Eight hours later, I ran back into the store because I had gone from being the girlfriend of the bride's brother to the wedding's officiant. And the cute mini-dress I had planned on wearing was no longer acceptable. I had remembered admiring one dress in particular while my nails dried and that brought me back to the store. Running into a store ten minutes before they close usually will upset the staff, but I was welcomed back by Ally who helped me pick out dresses to try on. I came in here to have my french manicure redone after another place botched it. The ladies were nice, and I loved that I got to drink for free. However, after three days of doing absolutely nothing but laying on the couch with pneumonia, the polish had already chipped. I made an appointment to have them redone with one of the ladies there, but the owner called me back and YELLED at me, calling me crazy. On a whim I decided to check this place out last Sunday. I was in desperate need of a pedicure and wanted to try someplace new. This salon is not your average setup. It's clothing in the front and nails in the back. And lots of pink. :) Right away I was offered something to drink (mimosa?! heck ya!) and shuttled over to a chair to soak. Kari did an awesome job on my feet. This is not one of those quick in and out nail shops. She took her time and seemed to actually care about what she was doing. Great place. I don't get to pamper my hands and feet often due to my busy, food-industry laden lifestyle. BUT Came in here with a girlfriend for a Girl's day. I'd suggest an appointment because they can get booked up (we definitely had appointments). Only got the pedicure, BUT it was great. Such a unique, super girly salon. Also doubles as a boutique with nice, decent priced clothing. It's not trendy but it also caters to the unique and girly pampering every girl desires. Was given a complimentary and super tasty mimosa. What's better? Watching the staff who did not have clients at the time, going through training on the latest trend in shellac. I think it's important to know that your nail tech (or anyone in the beauty business) knows the newest trends. You can always learn something new. It truly made me happy to see the training.
