I went back to Hot Tips today and had a really great experience! They did a great job on my fingers and toes and were very nice and friendly. I didn't bring up my last experience, but I think they recognized me from my yelp photo. They took accountability for my previous experience and apologized which was really great. No place is perfect, but I think it matters most how establishments fix their mistakes which is what Hot Tips did. I would recommend this nail salon to anyone and will continue going for my nails! I went in yesterday and got the worst manicure of life. It looks extremely sloppy and gloppy, the polish was so thick I can only assume it was expired and now my nails are all chunky and textured and covered in air bubbles. The polish doesn't even meet the edges of my nails and I certainly could've done a better job myself. I can't believe I paid and tipped for this and I feel dumb for not saying anything in the moment, but I also didn't realize just how bad it was until I got home. I left 2 stars because I have been here quite a few other times and been happy, but it seems there has been a major decline since ownership/staffing changes. I'm updating this review. Changing stars upwards. It's been 17 days and my dip manicure is solidly on my nails. No peeling or chipping or breaks. No frayed or sharp edges. The dip powder was put on very well. I think o can get another 5-7 days out of it. My regular polish pedicure is also holding up very well too. Very nice nail techs. But not a great job. My regular person at my usual salon is away for a month so I popped in here for a try. Pink and white dip came out with a messy line between colors and kind of a klunky nail shape. I did point out that I liked the existing shape, just wanted shorter. Got a blunt shape instead. Pedi was sloppy and I went for the 58 dollar service (suckered into upsell). Not great paint job. Won't be back. Not worth $118 before tip. read more

Worst nails I've ever had done in my life to date hands-down I literally just had to pull my hand away and say stop after several corrections and over two hours I was made late to my next appointment while she cut up my cuticles and left me with nails that my friend said she thought my middle school age daughter did make sure you take the reviews and the pictures seriously, the bumpy quality is real. The products are very out dated And none of their colors really match swatches so you're looking at a very frustrating experience. I would spare it save yourself the money and the argument. Came in this morning for a hard gel manicure and shellac pedicure, and the woman who did my nails Kenny did an amazing job. She took her tome and made sure I was pleased with my nails and toes. She also made sure that I was relaxed as well. This is my go-to place to go from now and have Kenny as my nail person. Value! Easy, clean, good English, affordable and accessible. We had three people; we used three service providers. All were courteous and capable. We were in and out in an hour with mani/pedis. The pedis were basic plus extra callous treatment and paraffin wax. The manis were classics. We paid $120 plus tip for all three and we think it was a great value. Another Yelper made the same observation, and I wholeheartedly agree. In fact, it was her comment that made me want to try the place. Yesterday I got the worst pedicure I've ever gotten at hot tips nails by an older man, cuticle trim was PAINFUL, nail was left in a bad shape so that it hurts like an ingrown nail now, polish looks bad. Wasn't relaxing and bad results (polish doesnt go all the way to the nail bed and my big toe was messed up while he was still working on it and he didn't fix it - see pictures). I asked for sharp and pointy and to keep them long. He filed so much of my nail down compared to what it was before. It wasn't the same guy I had last time either. I always get stiletto, but he proceeded to do a circle shape and when he was done filing my nails into the circle shape he asked me "if the circle shape was OK" I felt like at that point I had no choice but to go with the circle shape, even though I told him as sharp and pointy as possible. They also sent me out with a dent in my gel nail polish. I saw him analyzing my nail and I'm upset he didn't do anything to fix it and still had me pay for. I didn't notice the dent till I got into my car.... I even tipped 20%+... my toes are okay... they didn't file them down much and just put on my gel polish on without shaping the nail. I can't believe I paid $104 for this. They were also rough with handling my hands and feet. I really liked my nails the first time I came here, but this time was a complete disappointment. read more

Quick advice: do not go to jennifer. Came here to get a walk-in mani/pedi and waited about 3 mins before being sat down by Jennifer. She seemed sweet, but I couldn't really understand her. however, her work was messy and dirty, there were bubbles and my nails were unevenly coated. The owner saw how unsatisfied I was and offered to fix it by putting another coat on top. That didn't work, so she redid my nails which I appreciated. I think this place is a hit or miss depending who does your nails, but I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

They gave great service and it is one of the best pedicures I've had in a while. The only challenge is that they are so busy on weekends, it is sooo busy. They do offer and honor appointments. came in yesterday took two hours to do a fill in he charge me 50 I got a solid gel and she fixed one nail ... my Fingers were bleading she cut me multiple times the nail she fix looks nothin like the others. last three times I came in they been charging me crazy prices. one time it was 80 for a fill in.. another time I got pedicure and manicure she cut my toe Then didn't scrub my feet the one time she didn't even turn on the water to soak my skin so my skin would be softer ... Two stars cuz the pedicure wasn't bad. Except for the super hot stone on my foot without warning and the little snip of skin she took and didn't apologize for. I've never been to a place where I get my nails done while I'm still sitting in the pedicure seat (there were plenty of nail stations open). My manicurist didn't clean around the nail bed after applying polish, the polish application was jagged in the cuticle area (pics included) and every single nail dried with bubbles. Went to the salon to give them a heads up about what was happening in the salon to which the manicurist I was speaking to responded with "I know, I can fix it for you if you want." I didn't want. What I want is for you to be aware of your polish colors that are getting old and get rid of them, or stop watering them down when they get thick. I found my go to nail salon in Denver!! I was recommended Hot Tips & a few other nail salons by my hair colorist near the Cherry Creek area & I am glad I chose to go to Hot Tips! First off, it is literally 5 mins from my apartment so thats A+++. But what really got me to love this place is the friendly staff & the welcoming environment. I've been twice & both times, I didnt have to wait to get my nails done as they seem they are always fully staffed. Tina does my nails, & she is the sweetest lady ever!!! I love going to her & she makes my nails look super good! While getting my nails done, I overheard one of their clients talking about how Tina gave him the best pedicure he has ever had so I had to try it for myself & oh boy..... was I glad I did!!
