I'm very disappointed in how unprofessional trista is. I bought a Groupon for a Brazilian wax and texted her to book an appointment. She confirmed with me and I thought we were all set. Four days later she sent a mass email to her customers saying that she would be working in Denver for the rest of the month with no mention of cancelling her appointments she already has in Seattle. So, I assumed our appointment was still on. Two days later she emailed saying my appointment was cancelled and no mention of rescheduling. I texted her and asked what was going on - she mentioned she has a family emergency and will not reschedule my appointment. Her tone was snarky and very unprofessional. So attentive! First of all Blush is located in Oxygen spa! There are no signs so walk in and ask for Trista! She did my gelish manicure and 2 weeks later I'm still rocking it. With Trista and Blush Waxing, I'm ALWAYS glad I paid for the service. She's astounding. There are some spa services, such as facials or massages, where you don't want the person talking. You may be want to sleep or just relax. There are other spa services, such as waxing, where it's nice to have a pleasant conversation to take your mind off the fact that strips of hot wax are being placed on your lady parts and then ripped off. Trista is always upbeat, and is really fun to talk to while she's working. Also, she's a perfectionist, so I've never been disappointed with the finished product. She worked at Wax in the City for years, which is where I used to go, but now I see her because she's a business of one and her prices are astoundingly reasonable ($50 for a Brazilian) given her level of experience. I've been getting my brows shaped and tinted for the last 20 years or so and I've had some great estheticians who not only know how to shape my brows, but also tint them so they blend with my hair without being too matchy if you know what I mean. I'd heard of Blush Waxing Boutique as there have been a few different deal websites offering her boutique services, but I never tried it until the DailyDeals for Moms special, which was for the Gelish manicure. As I've heard a lot about the long-lasting gel and shellac manicures, I decided to give it a try. I booked an appointment online (a feature that I love) for a Friday evening manicure. I'd heard of Gelish, but had never had the procedure done on my nails. I arrived a little late due to Friday evening traffic and Trisha was very understanding and as I was the last appointment of the day, she let me know that I wasn't holding anyone else up Trisha was very friendly and set me at ease immediately. She explained the Gelish procedure to me and had me select a color. The Gelish procedure takes longer than a normal manicure and the price for it is justified by the length of time the manicure lasts (2-3 weeks). I had an enjoyable time with Trisha and I would love to support her. However, Gelish wasn't for me. The process is fine, but I get bored with nail polish and like to change it every few days or at least per week. Having a manicure last for 2-3 weeks is great if you don't suffer from nail polish ADD! I had a great time getting to know Trisha and if I decide to stop using my current waxing salon, I will definitely go see her again.
