My appointment was with Amanda for a Brazilian and I was a bit nervous because I hadn't had one in a while. The room was in a building that was a collection of beauty service providers and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Amanda was absolutely incredible and I so enjoyed our appointment. They use hard wax and it made my uncomfortable Brazilian a lot more manageable. She spoke to me the whole time and gave me some great life advice. I had a spray tan with amanda tonight and it was fantastic! I found the smooth room through a living social deal and I'm so glad I did. It's within a large salon complex with multiple hair stylists, nail places and waxing spots. I've never been in a concept like this, love it! But back to the tan I'm so pale, very pink Irish skin. I freckle and turn red right when I go outside. I'm in a wedding with a really light pink, almost white, bridesmaid dress and didn't want to look like a ghost. Amanda was so detailed and careful. I loved how OCD (in the best way!) she was and she really took the time to make sure everything was even and natural. I love the way it looks and can't stop looking at my tan in the mirror! Jerene Jerene , wherefore art thou?! This woman is a skin Guru! I came to see her before I traveled to Chicago this past month and I am so happy I did. My skin has been giving me grief ever since I moved to Los Angeles... Then I Moved around and finally landed in Colorado. It went from being disturbed by dirt and pollution of LA city life to being shocked by dryness ! Needless to say, it's good that I got to her lovely studio when I did. Yelpers! This is a great place for your eyes and eyebrows! I recently had Jerene tint my eyelashes, as well as tint, wax and shape up the old eyebrows. She was gentle and had the lightest touch ever! I didn't even know that she had ripped the wax off my brow...my only issue was maybe she was just a little bit too easy on the old brows as I had to go home and clean up the shape a little more. However, I was very pleased with the tint on both of both eyelashes and eyebrows! The Smooth Room is located inside a little labyrinth of teeny tiny salons at the corner of Evans and university. There is a parking garage and parking is validated! If you are lost, the smooth room is number 14 inside the maze. Very cool place! Found my Skin Care Haven! I went here for the first time about 2 weeks ago for a Brazilian wax and was pleasantly surprised when Jerene was able to do it quickly and with minimal discomfort. I always look forward to my appointments with Jerene. She's very gentle and attentive and friendly and the entire atmosphere is SO comfortable with lights that dim and relaxing music. I've been going to her since January for my Brazilians and she has a very soft touch. This month, I made a dermaplaning appointment after my waxing. It was amazing! I wish I had taken before and after pictures because when I walked out of her studio, I felt like I was glowing! This is the most amazing place to get a facial! I've been seeing Jerene for the last few months regularly. I have very oily skin and have been acne and blackhead prone for most of my life. I do the dermaplaning with my facial. I can say that within a few visits, I have seen a tremendous improvement in my skin. This all thanks to Jerene! She is super talented and knows what to recommend for my skin type! She also blends her own products. I was skeptical to put an oil on my skin because of how oily it is naturally but I took her advice and am in disbelief how great it is for oily skin. Jerene genuinely loves what she does and it is very apparent in her work. I found The Smooth Room on Groupon while looking for an airbrush tan salon. I had some pretty significant tan lines that I wanted to cover up before my sister's wedding. Jerene was extremely thorough and very meticulous. She even asked me to come in the next day (free of charge) to review her work and touch up any areas where my lines were still showing through. The tan looks amazing, the price is very reasonable and Jerene is extremely professional while making you feel at home. I also had my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted by her. I had never heard of this before, but I hate wearing make-up and she suggested this as an alternative. It looks so amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to avoid mascara. Jerene is AMAZING. I've been waxed by a number of different waxers, some OK, some good, one downright bad - but Jerene is, by far, the best. She is friendly, and her technique is fantastic. I particularly love that she applies coconut oil before the wax, so there is no leftover wax. I was getting a Brazilian and I have been, um, uncomfortably stuck together after many waxes in the past. There was literally NO residual wax. She said it also helps prevent any skin being removed with the wax, and sure enough, I discovered that I had *no* stinging after my first trip to the bathroom like I normally do the day I get waxed. It's really amazing. She also mentioned that she uses a very high end wax, which might also be a factor. Whatever the reason, though, I do know this is the best I have felt immediately after a wax - ever. I cannot recommend Jerene enough. read more

I have been tanned by both Jerene and Amanda and I can't decide who I love more! Both amazingly professional and made me feel so comfortable, which isn't easy when you are naked with a stranger spraying cold mist on you They have great tanning packages, easy (and free) parking, and it's a quick process! I've gotten both a light natural tan for winter(Jerene called it the bridal tan) and a deeper tan during the summer weather.
