Save your money! I'm Glo tanning customer in Greenwood Village and don't waste your money. The tanning beds have 1 setting and that's basic. I've tanned 3-4 times a week and I've never had a good tan, just average color. I haven't been in the tanning rooms at Chuze fitness after my membership with Glo. Today I tanned for 10 minutes at Chuze and it was nice to see a tan instead of what Glo offers. Glo is a waste of money and time. read more

This company is a complete rip off. The personal is incompetent and the equipment is dirty. I cancelled because they have a bug infestation problem that management was aware of in December. This company kept charging my card beyond packages I purchase (Buchtel Blvd location). I ordered a 3 month red light therapy package and full training package. They continued to charge me after the 3 month period ended. I called to request a refund for the months they overcharged me and they told me to email the owner for a refund. The owner name is Keith I believe. When my girlfriend asked them about my account they lied to her as said it was canceled in December. I first visited The Palms back in, what, 2009? I recently got back into tanning, and The Palms was my first and only choice. I enjoy indoor tanning to get a nice glow, and to help my body make vitamin D. The Palms is the only place I'll go, because they have great equipment, the salon is clean and well kept, and the staff are friendly, professional, and kind. And their great pricing and membership structure really helps--no high-pressure sales tactics, just great tanning! I also love double dipping (they call it cocktail tanning, where you can tan in a sunbed and then get a sunless/spray tan). I leave the salon looking so bronzed and feeling great! And I like how their membership pricing structure is straightforward. I've been using their level 1 & 2 beds, but at my last visit I splurged on a level 5 bed, and it was fantastic. It had a flat tanning surface inside, and it was so spacious! Their equipment is top-notch and kept in impeccable condition, which I appreciate. Secondly-- the lamps are quite powerful however- you will not get burned. You will not get burned-- there I said it again. These state of the art lamps supply only the tanning rays your skin wants and none of the burning/damaging/aging rays you don't need. A week later- people are asking me what I am doing. I tried twice, to no avail, to reach out personally to the owners, following an incident whereby my daughter and I were treated like second-class citizens by the two immature teenagers running this so-called salon. I begged them to call the owner while I was in there, and they said they weren't allowed to call their own boss, but rather only email. Don't waste your time and money. Go where your business is appreciated and you aren't treated like crap and refused services because you had no choice but to come 15 minutes before closing. Too bad I have to give them one star. So I have been tanning on/off for years at various salons in various states. None are perfect but I will say for the two plus weeks I have been tanning here at the Palms I have really enjoyed my experience. Kinda bummed I didn't find them sooner. I have been going to the one on Buchtel as it's the closest possible to where I am at. The place always seems fairly clean, customer service is not perfect but not bad, one of the girls (don't know her name) is really great and has made an effort to remember who I am which is nice. I love the way the booths are set up, the cool ambient lighting, the space, etc they offer a really nice experience, and the wave sounds playing in the background are really a nice touch. Obviously with Covid nonsense things are a little different so I cannot fully judge on things like towels, goggles, etc due to such. But so far all in all I really think this is a pretty good salon. Only real con and it's not specific to this salon or company but all tanning in CO, is that they don't offer more higher level stand up beds. Other states have nothing but high level stand ups which are great. So it's a bummer you can't get that around here still but no complaints thus far and really appreciate them offering specials for essential healthcare workers during this time, much appreciated! read more

I don't know if it really matters if I write a review. The young unprofessional rude girl didn't seem too worried about it, but I really don't care what she thinks. The first time I was there, I purchased the Luxury membership option for $69.95 a month. It was my second visit to the Glo on Buchtel and Colorado Blvd. The first time I went, the person that helped me was very professional and I was treated with respect. The second visit was a whole other story. I was ignored when I first came in and when I did ask for help, the young unprofessional rude girl there was bothered that I had asked her. She said "what do you want to do? I said I don't know, it's my second time there. She was put out that I even asked for help. She was too busy helping this low creepy looking guy with black painted eyebrows who was there the whole time I was. And that was over an hour. so, low class. She was wrapped up in helping her "weird client" the whole time I was there. So, she rushed me back to the red light stand up one, didn't even tell me how to turn it on. I had to go back and "bother her" to tell me how to turn it on. Then she said, what else do you want to do. I said again, "i don't know." That seemed to bother her again. All I needed was some guidance, but still she would only pay attention to this creepy guy with black painted on eyebrows. Then, I said how about a tanning bed, so in her rude way she sort of cleaned it off and said ok, it's ready. Someone had just been in it. However, when I got in, it wasn't even turned on. So, once again I had to "bother" the prima donna again for some help. She turned it on, but not for very long. So, ok, I just hung around while she was helping the creepy guy. Then thankfully, another girl showed up. I said I wanted to do a spray tan, and she helped me! She showed me what to do, I said it was only my second time! I would like a refund, but was told I couldn't get one. So, unfortunately, that's the closest one to me and I might have to see the rude unprofessional girl again. Too bad I didn't get her name, but she was there on 6/3/23 and I got there around noon I think. She was the only one there. I really don't care what she and her scumbag "client" think of me. I've been going to the Palms off of Arapahoe and Yosemite for years. I get the email newsletters, sign up for monthly memberships, and have always recommend the Palms to friends. Truthfully, it's my 12 minutes if uninterrupted silence to help me recharge my batteries and get all glowy. So when I moved to Capitol Hill I was super bummed that I was now 18 miles from my favorite resort; and let's be real, I'm not going to At The Beach which is pretty much the only option up here. I then saw that this location opened and was beside myself with excitement that there's a Palms closer to my house. Let me say that this new store looks lovely. It's more spacious, the rooms are decorated well, and it's very tidy. However, what is compelling me to give this store one star and write this review is the customer service. At the other location it's always a "good morning!" or "good afternoon!". Here you're lucky if the front desk person looks up and smiles at you. On the trip before my most recent trip, the Tahiti level bed was out of water. So on this trip I asked the girl at the front desk if she could check the water level on the bed before I got in. She looked at me and snidely remarked, "no, only the manager can do that". Shocked, I asked where the manager is, and she responded by saying he wasn't there. I then told her that at the other location it's never a big deal to check, and several different front desk people have checked under the bulbs at the water level for me. She then said, "well, the manger can only do it, but don't worry, it should have water, he checks it weekly". I got in the bed, wiggled into my position, hit the jet button... And absolutely no water came out. The bed was dry again. And when I left I didn't get so much as a "thanks" as I walked out the door. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but that's unacceptable. So when people ask me about The Palms Tanning Resort, I'll tell them the Arapahoe location is great AND TO NEVER GO TO THE DENVER LOCATION. Seriously, it's worth sitting in traffic and driving the extra distance to feel like a customer and not someone keeping an employee from her oh-so-important magazine. read more

Anyone who has tanned knows that the bigger chains will go through a long spew, often making getting in and out of the tanning salon a hassle. I somewhat expected this but "The Palms" staff was wonderful, I took advantage of the 'week special' buy 1 get 2 free, And was in and out in no time. I was not pressured to buy lotions or eye protection (they are provided) I was able to get in and out. The beds themselves are pretty high tech and look like mini space pods, all seem to be fairly new and not like the old beds. The wave machine was nice and the tiki theme !! I love the tiki theme. For about 12-15 min I was in the middle of a mini spa. Thank you Palms for a wonderful experience. read more

I was with the Palms Castle Rock for over a year and loved going in there every time!! It makes for such a personal experience when they always know your name and remember little things. About a year ago I moved down to Denver and sadly had to leave my Castle Rock Palms. However, i was not disappointed when I began my new membership at the Palms on Colorado Blvd. Although I have been going here for over a year and continue to see the same people I cant remember a time I have gone in there and anyone has remembered my name or that I have lotion stored there. I miss that personalized experience I received at the Castle Rock location. The important positives are how clean they keep the place, the beds/rooms are always cleaned and tidy. The bathroom is kept very clean (huge plus in my book, I cant stand a gross bathroom at any establishment) In general there is a very upscale, trendy resort vibe. I enjoy walking to the back as they have a huge screen with an animated beach scene on it!!! If I had it my way in my perfect world I only wish memberships worked at all Palm locations, I do realize they are all independently owned so that is not feasible?? :-) Thanks Palms for the great experience every time!!!!! I came here for 4 months before my wedding and loved it. I've used almost every bed in the place but prefer the level 4 & 5 beds. I got married in Hawaii so having a nice golden tan was a must for me. I haven't been back because I always have some lingering guilt about tanning, but I would for any special event. I also have to point out that the decor is perfect. Having tanned during the winter it was such an escape to step into the place. Staff is very helpful and friendly. read more

They had body spray in the room which I have never seen. It was really nice to give myself a spray down after tanning. The spray tanning pricing needs a little work before I start spray tanning here. Being the red-headed-freckled-covered-always burning-never-tanning person that I am, I really had no business even walking into a tanning place (my dermatologist would totally agree). However, I had a 10 day beach vacation coming up and I wanted to burn before, not during the vacation if at all possible. My friend (who shares my pale complexion) just got married and did about a month of tanning before her big day at Palms and recommended it to me. I used the Tahiti bed for about 2 weeks every few days for only about 6 minutes each time. Lo and behold it worked for me! Yes, it was mostly more freckles but this is tan for me and I didn't get sunburned (or sun-sick for that matter) on my vacation. Cara was really helpful with recommending the best bed for me and didn't try to pressure me into buying any packages or products I didn't want or need. It was nice to have her guidance but not feel obligated or pushed into something I didn't want. Palms is clean, cute, and very relaxing, I actually miss going there! As I am a poster child for skin cancer, I have decided to refrain from tanning on the regular and just saving that for pre-vacation glow. I highly recommend Palms to experienced tanners and beginners, whatever you are looking for they will help you get it. read more

I kindly asked for a partial refund as I didn't know 7 days before my renewal date that I was pregnant. They are refusing any type of refund. Due to this I am unable to make my first prenatal appointment. Money is tight for everyone during Covid, but their refusal to refund is ridiculous.
