I've been seeing Demi for a little over five years now. I started by getting lash extensions and then started working with her through her facial services. I was always interested in lash extensions, and saw a groupon for another salon and had them done. They were really pretty day one, but after a few refills, I found that they were painful, and many lashes were glommed together. Uncertain of if this is just way it is or not, I decided to try another salon and see.... Demi sat me down and talked to me about my previous experience. Again, since I was new to the world of lashes, I didn't know what I should be expecting so I didn't pan the other place. I told her I often felt pain, and that I just didn't ever touch my lashes, but I didn't like when they would go haywire and point off in the wrong direction. She said I needed a little lash comb to correct, and when she showed it to me, I told her there was no way that comb would go through my lashes. She stepped up and took a closer look, and this is when I learned the previous salon didn't know what they were doing. They were set so close that the tabs were irritating my skin, there were multiple extensions on one lash, which made it a safe haven for dirt and mites to accumulate, old lashes that normally would shed were stuck in the big groups of extensions, and it was just not up to par with what is expected from someone that is licensed. Rather than a fill in, Demi had to do a removal and a whole new set. When she did so, she removed the clumps of 4 and 5 lashes on one, and she also removed the pain. She told me, unlike the other lady, I should not feel pain and that I can wear whatever make up I want, and I can really get in and clean them. AHHHH! Demi adjusts the facial based on price or what you're looking at getting out of the facial so everything is completely custom. She definitely has your best interest in mind: every facial she'll adjust procedures and products that she uses so you will see results, along with recommending at-home care. She also just started selling custom-mixed foundation. It is perfect for my skin - heavy enough that you won't need concealer but light enough you won't feel it. I have long natural lashes, they're just very light and not as thick as I'd like, so long extensions are a must. Demi is unbelievably reasonably priced and refills are easily 50% less than everywhere else I've looked into. Demi accommodates later in the day appointments - which is a god send for me. As with most professional beauty services, I highly recommend booking in advance. Demi is busy! One more thing that's incredibly important - my lashes last and look beautiful from the moment she puts them on until I go in for my refill. Demi is very talented at her work. I have been receiving lash extensions from her for the last couple of months. Most appointments I leave and look at my lashes saying "wow! These look great". The last few times I've went they have been half filled with tons of spots that don't have lashes. I just had a lash "lift" and tint for the first time with Demi. I am thrilled with the results. I've had lash tints before but this is the first time I've tried the lash lift. She said that she's done a lot of research and has discovered something even better. It's called Franche and is also natural mineral-based. But the minerals are much more micro and come in a pressed-powder form, providing a much more even application. She offered to make up my face with this product to see if I liked it. Well, I was as pleased as can be! It looks so fresh; so natural; and so even. No worry about getting too much on, as can happen with the loose powder in Bare Minerals. Franche also comes in a liquid form, but I prefer the pressed powder. At no time did I feel pressured by Demi to purchase this product. But I'm absolutely delighted that I did!! I am a redhead with blonde eyebrows and blonde eyelashes, and have been tinting my brows and lashes for years so that I don't have to wear as much makeup.
