Originally went with a groupon for a 75 minute triple peel facial. The facial only lasted an hour and fifteen minutes of that was a hand massage. Susie actually took time to do her product inventory right in the MIDDLE of my appointment! I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was. I didn't want a hand massage so she could do her inventory. I had a good experience at Susie Organic. Based on a recommendation from a friend who has had several facials at SO I decided to try them out. It helped that SO was offering a Groupon deal - $45 for a $165 Triple Peel Facial. The term "triple peel" sounds a bit daunting and potentially painful but my friend assured me that they know what they're doing. Terri, my esthetician was very friendly and had a good "touch" - she explained what she was doing without being too chatty. I felt very comfortable with her. Why three stars? If I'm going to pay $130 (according to their website) to $165 for a treatment, I want to feel like I'm in a spa. The walls at Susie Organic's treatment rooms are very thin meaning I could pretty much hear everything going on outside the room. Also, in the middle of my treatment someone came in to the room to borrow something. I found this distracting and unprofessional. For that reason, SO did not pass the "spa experience" test for me. Also, I have no problem with them trying to sell their product as I know that this is one of the ways they make profit. However, the product they sell is way too expensive in my opinion. Well over $100 for anti-aging liquid and cream. I would recommend Susie Organic, but with reservations. read more

I originally booked an appointment via a Groupon TWO years ago for a facial and a massage. The massage was pretty awful, but the facial was GREAT. If the review was based only on the massage, I'd give it 2 stars, but if it was on the facials I've received, I'd give this place 6. :) Since then, I've come back religiously - at 50% off the price of a facial - and have always had great service. Lacey is my esthetician and she is one of the only reasons I continue to go back. First, the products they use are GREAT. I never buy products from service appointments (including hairstylists) but I have bough a few of the Ling product line and I really like the way they make my skin feel. More importantly, I feel like Lacey really understands my skin and adapts the facials based upon what my skin needs. I leave there with my skin feeling fabulous and glowing. I believe that her facials are one of the things that has kept my skin looking great (and younger looking) and why my skin didn't go crazy during my recent pregnancy. I'm a pretty thrifty person and I've never before gone to an esthetician twice. I just never saw the point. Lacey changed my mind and I'd always trust her with my skin! I bought a deal for a 75-minute hot stone massage. I never know what I am going to get when I buy these deals. But WOW!!! It was by far one of the best massages I have ever had. Beth was extremely professional and quiet--which I appreciate when I am trying to relax. She had the perfect amount of pressure and I could tell she knew muscle anatomy and how to relax them. I love the combination of hot stones mixed with deep-tissue. I also appreciated that even though she was running a couple minutes late, she did not cut my massage short at all. I will say though that the floor is kind of loud and I could hear the girls working there walking back and forth past the room. But I was SO relaxed that nothing could have bothered me... I bought a hot stone massage WeeklyPlus deal. Unfortunately, the lady who does the hot stone massages only works until 4:30 on weekdays and does not work weekends. I was extremely aggravated by that but the girl at the front desk suggested I use it for a facial instead. I got an hour long facial with Kenya and it was great! I really want to love this place, I do. They offer a dermaplane facial that I really need (and a bit cheaper than some of the other places I've found). But even though I get facials for pragmatic reasons, I also get them for relaxation. And every time I go, I end up with a person who talks my freaking ear off. Especially Susie--I've had her more than once, and she NEVER STOPS TALKING. It's really annoying. I may pay more to go somewhere else where I can get the relaxation I'm seeking. read more

I used a groupon for a facial and added a massage. I had no expectations. Well that's a lie, I was expecting the worst! I walked in and started my facial just a few minutes late--But after that, everything was fabulous! Courtney did a threepeel facial and it was wonderful. She explained everything and knew a lot about her products and technique. She gave me a wonderful facial and was very gracious. I booked another facial for next month. Loved it! I also got a hot stones massage, and since I fell asleep, I rate is as wonderful! I tried to book another massage but they were very booked. Good services, nice people. Improvement need on: Phone reception ( I made my appoint through a long series of voice messgaes), and clothing hooks on the back of the door would be nice, and a coat rack ( my coat got piled on the chair in the room and came out all wrinkled and fuzzy). It really takes a lot to get me to take the time to write a review. But when an experience is like mine was today, I want others to know about it. WOW! IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!!! I got a facial wax (which was the best part, read on to find out why...) and triple peel facial. LACY knew what she was talking about. I would ask her about my home routine and products I currently use. She was honest in telling me ingredients to look out for and didn't make me feel like a cheap idiot for anything I was using. She didn't try to hype me on her stuff, either. As she performed each step of the facial, she would tell me what to expect every step of the way. ("This will tingle a little bit," and "now I'm going to extract," and "is this the right pressure?") She used the steamer and lots of warm, wet towels, each one seemed to strip away a layer of stress from my hectic life. The products had good scents, none of which were overwhelming. (I have a sensitive nose.) But the facial wax! Every other time I have gotten waxed, it has definitely been a teeth gritting affair. It can bring tears to your eyes, ripping the relaxation right out of an otherwise amazing appointment. But Lacy is QUICK and seriously PAINLESS! Never before have experienced a wince-less wax job. While others have felt like a series of shots or blood draws, this felt more like pulling off a band-aid. I love LACY at Susie Organic! If she is not reading your energy (which in my experience is atypical) just let her know. I went to Susie Organic a little less then a week ago for a sunless tan. I loved the idea of an "organic" product to apply to my skin versus the usual spray tans (which I assume are filled with harsh chemicals). Susie applied my tan personally using a sponge and was a pleasure to work with while at her salon. It was very clean and the product was fragrant free, which I liked compared to most other products I've tried. When I got home I was visibly able to see places where the product wasn't applied (as it got darker the longer it was on your skin). I called to let them know and was promised a call back to set up coming in before they closed that evening so Susie could touch up before everything fully dried (she was in an appointment with a client at the time and I spoke to the receptionist). I never received a call back and had to live with the tan as they closed 30 mins. after I called. I woke up the next morning with a few white spots and an uneven glow. This was very disappointing considering the tan cost me $49.00 before tip (the most I've ever paid for a sunless tan). Additionally, I was promised this would last well over 2 weeks, unlike most spray tans. My tan was completely gone 2 days later. I've had several traditional spray tans and all usually last me at least 1 week. I came to the salon with exfoliated skin, waited almost 24 hours before showering and working out and didn't get into a pool or apply anything harsh to my skin which would have caused it to disappear so quickly. I was really close to investing in a 5 tan package and a lotion to take home that day (which would have been another $50+ purchase) and am SO glad I didn't. This was a big disappointment. It was very upsetting that I had left the salon feeling great and really enjoying my experience and they just brushed off my issue with the tan when I got home and didn't return my call. If you are looking for some guilt-less glow, I would hit up one of the other several places in Cherry Creek North or purchase a bottle to use at home from Sephora before going back here... read more

After moving, I have been looking for a place to get my regular facials for several months and decided to wait for a groupon to try out a new place. I thought it would be a good idea to try out new places at groupon prices until I found the right salon. I passed up several facial groupons in previous months after researching the salons because they weren't up to standards. So when I saw Susie Organic groupon and did my research, it looked good so I bought it. I called in and immediately noticed that I was getting treated like a groupon customer instead of a regular customer, in fact it was the first question they asked me. I still made my appointment for 3 weeks out- the earliest available. Sounds to me like they sold too many groupons, or else didn't need to work with them in the first place. The morning of my appointment, they called me to ask if I wouldn't mind coming in earlier. I had arranged to have the day off and rearranging my afternoon plans wasn't a big deal so I said yes. About 45 minutes before my new appointment time, they called me to cancel my appointment. I asked to have my original time back, but they said no. Then I asked them to call another client, just like they did to me earlier to ask them if they would move their appointment, and they refused. Probably because it's unprofessional to do that. Not that they minded treating a groupon customer unprofessionally. Anyway, it was just some poor girl working the reception, manager had the day off, and Susie was out of town, no one could offer a refund or solution. I'll be traveling heavily in the upcoming weeks, so needed to get it done my only day off. Looks like my search will continue, suggestions welcome for a great salon! TERRIBLE facial experience, and I've had a lot of facials at different places. Don't go here. I could have given myself a better facial at home. The products smelled really strong and perfume-heavy which is the opposite of what organic products should be. The esthetician repeatedly missed wiping off large areas of product on my face throughout the treatment and got a LOT of it in my hair. I like to relax during facials and always tell the estheticians that I'm looking forward to a relaxing facial, but she kept asking me questions and pushing expensive treatments during my facial, continually missing cues that I wasn't interested in talking. When I asked how these treatments worked to improve my acne she couldn't explain it because she clearly didn't know. She just kept saying, "Just trust me, it's amazing" and then would tell me it was $300! At the end of the facial she put oily sun screen on my face even though it was after dark, so I just had to go home and wash it off. After the facial I asked her opinion about good OTC facial lotions and refused to list any, but insisted that I buy a tiny container of $50 lotion from their shop. I understand that they need to push their own products, but I've had several other etheticians give me OTC recommendations. Seriously, skip it! read more

I once loved this place but have been disappointed by the unprofessional staff and owner too many times. I used to get AMAZING facials from a guy there (Christian), but sadly he hasn't been there for awhile. He was the only one who seemed to do what I requested, which was a TRULY organic facial. Buyer beware: Despite the misleading name, the vast majority of what this place sells and uses is NOT organic, but the staff will tell you otherwise. Insist upon checking the labels yourself and make sure it's certified organic. Also (as mentioned by other Yelpers on here), the place can get noisy since the walls are so thin and, indeed, someone almost routinely walked in on my treatments as well, to grab products from the room. I will be going elsewhere from now on; there are plenty of better spas in the neighborhood. read more

I went in cos I bought a Groupon Triple Peel facial. I had no expectations (expected just the bare minimum product to be put on my face) as my experience with beauticians in US so far has been very disappointing. My beautician was Courtney, and she was absolutely THE BEST I have ever experienced in the states. I thought Courtney looked very young but she was very knowledgeable and had a very strong interest in this field, as she told me about how she would visit other countries and be sure to get a facial to learn more about how beauticians carry out facials in other countries. It was nice to know she really love her field of work. She was also attuned to the customer (me) and cared about the condition of the skin, and she would apply additional other kinds of products or made modifications whenever she deemed needed. This is customizing skincare to fit individual skins, and this is exactly what my beautician in Asia did as well. A steamer was also directed at my face before extraction. This is the first time I had the steamer since I left Asia. So I was really impressed. Courtney also did extraction properly (which is really supposed to hurt, but this cleans the skin properly, and will allow any creams or product to be applied later to be absorbed better). In fact, this was the first time in the states that I felt a proper extraction was done. Most times, the beautician would just do painless extraction (which is quite useless) or ignore glaring pimples or blackheads totally. There was no hard selling of future appointments or products. I asked for Courtney to tell me what she used on me, as I really liked it and trusted her. She showed me the products that I asked for, and again, she wasn't trying to sell. I bought a product because I felt she really thinks it's a good product and I want to try it out. I felt like I was in the hands of my ex-beautician-friend again whilst in the care of Courtney. I didn't think I will find that in the States, and I'm sorry that I had not found this place sooner. Really, this place is the best. My past experience with facials and beauticians: I moved to the States more than a year ago and have been on the hunt for a beautician ever since. But time and time again I have been disappointed. In Asia, my beautician became my good friend and I stayed her customer for many years because she really cares for the condition of my face. Her motto was to never let a customer walk out of her beauty salon unfinished. ie, she has to make sure she covers 100% of a customer's face/neck/chest and solve or try to solve all of the problem areas before she lets them leave. However since moving to the States, beauticians feel clinical and facials feel like they will apply the bare minimum on you, and usher you out as soon as the time is up. No steamer, no extraction, and nothing soothing will be applied afterwards even if you did something which might cause sensitivity like microdermabrasion.
